I got 2 guinea pigs that were already bonded from the pet store. They were both their for a very long time and I gave them a home. After having them both for not even a month his brother died(danny). They were so close and I felt so bad and I put him in with my other guinea pigs and one didn't get along so I took the the newer(snowball)one out. So I went back to the pet store just to get snowball a new partner and they are so happy, now snowball is acting more like himself and the new one( cupcake) they both won't leave each other side
Mack&cheese plate awwwwwww =3
Awww cute :)
Mack&cheese plate wbyliwa
Mack&cheese plate so glad to hear that . My piggie ( Savannah ) passed away a few days ago and I am getting a new one tommorow so that my other guinea pig has a partner and I was wondering how she would interact with other piggies that weren’t her sister ❤️
I had something similar happen to me where i got two piggles from the store that already knew eachother. I did this so i wouldn't have to worry about them not getting along. On Eath day of this year, one of the girls died (Willow) and now Sissi has been alone. Im looking to get her a new sister but introductions scare me as I've never done them before and im also scared that I'll have to return the pig if they don't get along :(
this is my favourite guinea pig channel!

I kept seperating after the new one would scream really loud. I didnt know that it would just start over again. That is helpful I am just going to let them scream it out until its over. I know have 4 piggies and am very happy.
I’m getting my second guinea pig today. Thank you for your tips! I can’t wait to introduce them.
Update
it’s two years later...? they’re fine😂

I got mine today. It was super strange. I've never heard the weird noises they make.
My mom sent me this...I’m pretty confused...
Edit: it turned out that we were getting a guinea pig the next day
Edit 2: I still have him, we named him Buster but we never got a second one just cause he kept fighting with other. We don’t know if we’re introducing them wrong or what but I’ve been trying to keep him company until we get a better idea on how to introduce him to another.
Gala-Z Wolf good luck

i've just got a new guinea pig which i'm introducing to my other 2 guinea pigs and I was worried as there was a lot of chasing, teeth chattering etc.. thank you so much for the information you are such an inspiring person and you help me and i'm sure thousands of other people with their guineas!!

I’m so excited, I know I have to wait a couple weeks to introduce but I can already see them getting along.
I bought 2 new boars today to go with my existing 2 boys and I wasn't sure how the introduction would go. I followed your video and they have all stopped fighting already and are good friends and cuddle up to each other and play already. I have only had them for about 3 hours and it took them about 2 hours to bond. Thanks so much little adventures. 😀
outstanding video. so much great info. more thorough than any other I've seen about introductions.
I seperated my two boars for a couple of days after they begun fighting non-stop and now I'm planning to rebond them. This video is so so helpful, thank you. It's so reassuring for me to know what looks normal and what should be expected. I've been told I was wrong to seperate before blood was drawn but its reassuring to know that I did the right thing (they constantly looked like the "ball of fluff" described lmao)! x
Thank you so much for this video- it was the best one I found and really helped us to let them work it out without intervening. It’s been two days and they are playing nicely now! We had two siblings and had left one behind at the store 6 months ago. Ever since we’ve regretted leaving him but didn’t have room. We even named him Coco and called him by name and would mention him often. My kids wanted to find him but we told them someone else had adopted him. Fast forward - we built a much bigger cage and then my family went to the pet store and there he was alone on the counter for free! Someone had returned him after six months citing a failed bond- I don’t know what happened. We realized it was him through some discussion and brought him home and reunited him with his brothers! I feel complete now!
Thank you so much for this video! I was scared my two girls wouldn’t get along (just went and got a friend for my first young girl) and they weren’t having anything of eachother when I tried at first to introduce them but this makes me think I definitely didn’t give them enough time and I was worrying far too much, you’re the only person that mentioned them needing more time to get used to each other! Thank you! I’m going to set up a space up outside now and see how it goes but give them a chance to get to know eachother this time, I was just stressed cause one is about 4 weeks younger than my first one and there’s a bit of size difference at the moment.
Best piggie introduction video I've ever seen, so helpful!
Thanks for all your videos. It gave me lots of info, tips and advice with my guinea pigs!
Thanks you are my favorite UA-camr to help me I just got 2 guniea pigs today and got them from two different stores.
Helpful video, thanks! Gonna try introducing my 9 month old male to an 8 week old male. Didn't know about the introduction needing to be so long. Will definitely let them do their thing for a while!
Thanks for this video! I had a female and neutered boar have two failed introductions that ended with the “rolling ball of fur” fights. Then I put them in a much larger space for much longer (seven hours!), and they never escalated into a full fight. They were still pretty aggressive but after an hour in the cage they got it figured out and calmed down. They still have confrontations sometimes but are generally buddies. : ) I’d almost given up! You are very right about space being a major factor. It gives them a chance to get out of each other’s faces if they need to, instead of ending up in a brawl.
My sister is getting a guinea pig for her birthday. (a friend for our current single guinea pig) this is so informative and really helped! Thanks!
Thank you! This really made me feel better about getting a new pig! I am obsessed with your video at the moment, haha
I’m binge watching little adventures because I’m SOOOO EXCITED TO GET ANOTHER GUINEA PIG! (I have two right now)
This video is perfect! I'm getting a third guina pig tomorrow, I've had two guina pigs for a little over a year now and I think having a third pigger to the group would be the perfect mix up, i was very scared at first to do it because I've never done it before but after this vid it seems so much more simple and not so scary anymore. Thx!!!!
I have five guinea pigs and we need to bond them tomorrow so I am watching loads of your vids to help me with that
I like your videos and I'm glad that there's at least one guinea pig channel
Omg! I love your videos! I have 2 little piggies called Hazel and cinnamon! Tomorrow I'm getting another guinea pig and calling it Wilma inspired by you! thankyou for making your videos so informational and factual! It helps ALOT!
Thank you so much for making this video, my little guinea pig is lonely and is around 7mo old so In a few days I'm going to adopt another so he can have a friend. I'm praying they get along, they're both males, this definitely eases my nerves! Thank you!
I've been looking up bonding videos all day today! Thank you for this! I'm getting two new piggies tomorrow :)
:)
I’m watching this video while introducing my piggies. They weren’t getting along very well at first and this video reassured me that it is perfectly normal😅 thank you!!
This video is amazingly helpful and very informative, all your pigs are adorable.
thank you :)
Love the video! You are my all time favorite youtuber! Love all your videos!
thank you :)
Ur piggies are adorable I love ur cage it's super spacious and sdorable
Super informative video :) Great information, easy to understand and of course lots of cute guinea pig footage :)
I have my piggies separated in two group of two. I have 2 very dominant females and day in day out it was chattering, fighting and generally being noisey(in a bad way) between them.
I've given them both a more submissive friend to be with in their own half of the cage and the peace has returned.
Introductions can look terrible but if they don't sort themselves out, something has to be done.
I like your new piggy. She looks so cute
Really loving the new and larger cage! Looks like the piggies are too :) great video xx
thank you :)xx
Very accurate and informative video! Love it
Thank you for this! I'm taking in my cousins old guinea pig cause she's moving and can't take him she only ever got one and I know these guys need to live in herds so its nice to have a tutorial on this! I'll make sure and try this out when I get my lil guy a bigger cage and am able to set some time aside to get a new piggie! :3
Thank you for this video!! I'm picking up a friend for my boy Jimothy on thursday and am quite nervous for the introduction process. A family needed to rehome their boars and there was only one left, so i'm hoping they'll get along well!
You helped me sooo much, i always had rescue piggies that got along well with new adopted ones, but 2 weeks ago i adopted a young female for my female and male,(no balls) And it did not go well.. she attacked my female.. and i was getting in between them alot, also split them up. But today i listen to you and 5/6 hours later they sleep next too each other :D:D I am so happy, they didn't rlly fight, the young one runs after the older female, and she peeps alot, looked stressed, but now they are chill 💖💖 subscribed 💖💖
my mum just got me a guinea pig for my b day (i had 1 and i got another 1) this vid really helped my to know how i should introduce them to each other thank u little adventure 😁

So, I'm getting my third guinea pig, two of the pigs are already bonded but I'm getting a third one since my cage is rlly big, but do I need to clean the main cage before I put him in?
this is such a great video i have got 2 piggies and I'm getting 2 more which I'm very excited about i have listed notes on bonding and this video really did help me xx

Thank You For The Good Advice , You Are One The Best UA-cam Channels In The World [To Me]
Thank goodness I found this video~ I originally had two Guinea Pigs (Tofu and Kimchi), but Kimchi passed away recently. So, I ordered some parts to extend my C&C cage and I'll be getting a new friend for Tofu soon ^-^ I was a bit worried because I never had to wait for Tofu and Kimchi to bond because they were already living mates prior to when I brought them home. All in all, this video really helped answer my questions about the bonding process and I'm no longer as worried ♡
I'm sorry but those are adorable names
U are amazing i just love ehearing your voice and ur voideos are so helpful
This was really helpful thank you !!!
This is such a great video! Thank you so much xxxxx

HI JULIA! i recently started watching your videos and because of you i love guinea pigs I'm getting 2 guinea pigs soon and once i get used to them and they get used to me i will try to get 2 more so they feel even more comfortable i would just like to thank you so much!
:)
This helped me a lot. I just got a third piggie today and the new one was being chased. I kept intervening because I was worried but now I know that I should let them do their thing.
Hi my name is Mary Helgesen and I have been watching all the bonding videos on guinea pigs. Great information.I just want to say that for those of you who have good and fast bondings good for you. I am happy for you. However mine didn't go well. I had put mine together a few times (I have a nine month old not sure temperment and a two yr old very mellow males). I have been doing the play date thing few hours here and there not realizing they start over each time and get more stressed.Today I descided I would try 6 hrs instead of 2 1/2 -3 hrs and make a final descision. if they calmed down or not. and show me some positive signs. As to wheather or not put them together or not. I think my younger one was trying to challange my older older one for dominance because everytime he would would keep rumble strutting and getting in my older pigs face. Then today he tried to mount him several times. The older pig hasn't even tried to mount him. plus he would bother him everytime he would lay down. they would have been fine if my younger guinea pig wouldn't have challenged him. I feel that in my gut. I didn't realize that there is more to it than just introducing them. I was led to believe that you put them together for a few hours and if things calm down you can do a cage clean out. They would do it all over again and be ok because it wouldn't be that serious tho. I was clarified today. I was told it could take weeks and months of actually living together, And the owner being on edge to see if it's working. For those of you who are starting out and want to bond your pigs. also Next time I will be rescueing one instead of getting one from petsmart I wanted to and they wouldn't sell me two. I wouldn't be going threw this. I do have room and are able to house and love my piggies. But I am just bumbed. people tell me to keep trying but I just cannot do it. I am not thick skinned.this is my first set of piggies. I am scared to. also I don't wanna risk my piggy hurtin themselves.
Thank you for the information! I've recently been trying to integrate three of my females together but I was unaware of how much stress was acceptable. I've trained and worked with dogs for most my life but piggies are fairly new to me and I've never been brought an individual (I really only got into piggies because of being a foster mom with a well trained pup. So I was the only home who could take small critters. And I have to say I'm ecstatic!). Usually I'm brought pairs who are already bonded. Currently I have 4 rescue girls and 4 rescue boys. I'm not planning on mixing genders and keep them in separate rooms so the boars don't fight but three of the girls have gotten along fine with a minimal fence in between. So for them to have more room I'm really hoping they can be together. With this new information I'm excited to try again as everything was apparently going ok but I was worried. Thank you sooo much for sharing!!
I
thank you :)
Great info!
Your Guinea pigs are so cute
i love your videos and can i just say your guinea pigs are just so adorable😘😁
thank you :)
Thank you so much I had 2 piggys and pne of them died and I bought 2 resucue piggys the same age as the alive one and they started fights and I didnt know what to do. Thank you this really helped and now they seem to like eachother so far!
I didn’t have to do much bonding when it came to my piggies, I had them separated by one of the plastic panels that my cage is made out of for a few weeks or two so that they could get used to each other’s smells and sounds, I put them back into the cage (it’s a very big cage) at the same time with no separator and some veggies spread out along the cage. They did not fight once (they’re both boys) and all they did was jump on each other’s backs a few times to decide who’s dominant. Ever since then they’ve been best friends and they never fight(: they argue over veggies from time to time, but besides that they sleep in the same hidey together and live their lives as one little family((: they were both saved from bad living conditions, and they were both alone for months. I guess they’re just happy to be with another guinea pig
This will be very useful

thank you this really helped!
Yay your videos are amazing!
thank you :)
I have two lil boys, one ( the yunger one) had 3 little bite wounds at the beginning but since then there are no new ones and they seem to get along well, sometimes they still have a litlle fight ( just a second, no teeth chatering just a lil jumping at each other some growlin and then running away ) i have them together since 1 month now. Do you think they are fine ? I mean i saw them popcorning and they are eating together just with a lil space. But they sleep at different places, i mean they dont cudel or someting do you think there are fine together ? The lill one always Humps the big one , witch gets a lil angry bc of that. But i never saw the big one humping the lill one
This was literally so helpful I just got another friend!!!
This is an awesome video!
:)
this was great. Thanks so much
This is really helpful!
Would you please make a video specially for bonding two boars.
Thank you so much for the help, it really helped my guinea pigs get along and also help me and my mom get the introduction ready. But if anyone has answers for me because my first piggy named Dorothy is very talkative ( she popcorns a lot) while my other pig named Effy really doesn’t speak. But maybe because she is new to my home, but I think she will stay that way for the rest of her lifetime. So if any of you piggy experts can give me answers, that would be amazing!!!!!!! Thank you very much Little Adventures
When we introduced one of our pigs to the others, all of this happened! They still get into little arguments, but nothing serious, just dominance. The new piggy turned out to be Miss Bossy, haha! Awesome video, everything was totally true! :)
thank you :)
This helped so much we may be getting another piggie so now I know
Wow, thx so much this vid helped me introduce 2 male guinea pigs!😄
Sent here from Kentucky Cavies Guinea Pig Rescue! 💕
Tysm i am Getting a new one and this helped
I am glad every thing went well for you, I have five girls, we tried to introduce them but one had previously been bullied by the new piggies mother so things did not go too well and neither would accept each other
I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, some guinea pigs just really can't stand each other :(
I have a question I have 2 male guinea pigs one is a baby guinea pig and one is an adult what do I do since the adult guine pig teeth chatters at the baby one
I have three of them but when I got my second one I let her meet the one I had and it was fine but I was nervous and took her out and they never saw each other again and she did peak at her and I try to get them to meet now and they started making really scary noises and yeah so what do I do
Okay, so I bought a smaller guniea pig today and already had a 2 year old one I let them sit them down and let them hang for a couple seconds and my oldest guniea pig nipped the smaller ones ear.... is that normal ?
But what if one bites and there is no blood but the bitten pig is squeaking because it's sore should I separate them?
My one guniea pig WONT stop mounting the other and the other just lets him but after a while he gets mad but the one won’t stop what do I do?
What about my guinea pig that bites around the a mouth and it bleeds a lot. I really want them to get along should I just get another Guinean and see how they go
I'm gonna get a guinea pig soon, so this helps a lot thank you! 😄
get two and have fun :)
I have four boy guinea pigs and the older brothers are fighting one has a bit on the back and I dont know what to do can you please please help me
I loved so much
thank you :)
You are very helpful and I appreciate you! I wish I had you here introducing my guinea pigs for me 😂 I have 5, and I want to introduce the 2 new ones to the old ones, but they are all adult pigs and already established ranks. Right now, I have their cages side by side so they can see, smell, and hear each other but cannot touch. They seem to like this ok. I have two 6 foot long tables I have the CC cages on. I’m worried that’s not enough space for all five. They each have their own hidies at least. And enough water and hay. Not sure if I’ll ever successfully introduce them 😢
at 4:14 you can see a fly, do flies form from the poops or bacteria left from the piggies? They are small but i want to eradicate them
Hello I need urgent help, I got a new 2-3 month piggy and I currently have 2 6 months Guinea pigs, I did what you said and they keep chasing and biting the new one, what can I do?
wow, this is such amazing timing! I just got my boar a pale :)
I have a 1 Abyssinian Guinea pig who was kept in his own cage for a long time due to being treated for a possible bacterial infection causing his head to always tilt... I dont know how long to be exact that he was in the cage alone, but I feel he should have another. I only have two problems ...1 boyfriend wouldnt like the idea of another piggy and 2 I have a generic cage that I feel is only big enough for one with no other space to place a larger one. Any thoughts?
Can i get a little help?
I had two girls originally but then one died
I want to get her a new sister but what if they don't get along? What would i do?
