what other resorts have you stayed at?
Just a heads up to anybody. I was employed as a timeshare exchange representative for years. Palace resorts are a big member of timeshare exchange. We would make commissions on booking into them. Please, please dont go to a presentation!! Those people are slick and timeshares are a racket!! Also, points memberships are just a more flexible week of timeshare. Dont be fooled. I regret ever being a part

Yes we’ve taken food in our carry on many times. As long as it’s not liquid (drinks). You can get by security and into the plane with food (as long as it’s not fruit I think)

I’m looking to book something to Christmas break, i’m confused between moon palace deferent option! Is the grand much better than Nizuc?
The Grand is “better” in many ways, but Nizuc is also great too. It’s all a personal preference, we’ve stayed at both and we would say that Nizuc better suited our needs. The Grand is too grand/large for us.
I think if you went to Nizuc you’d have a great time and wouldn’t regret it at all.

How much was the snorkeling at the resort that you guys did?
I honestly forget. I think it was in the ballpark of around $35-50 per person. It was very affordable compared to other off site snorkelling excursions.
would you pay extra to stay at the Grande ? I don't care about the water park but everything else

I wouldn’t pay extra personally.
Was the water at the resort purified ??
Yes. Absolutely no issues with the water quality.
do you have to get to the pool early to get a chair ?

How is the beach? is the water brown? I saw another vlog about the moon palace sunrise and they said water is not clear and not for swimming. I'm a beach person and trying to figure out the best option.
The beach is nice but there is an amount of seaweed on the beach daily. They do their best to take it up and truck it out but it’s still there. Because of this, the water is not blue, it’s mostly a dark green colour. Especially when windy.
With that said, it’s still amazing.
If you want fully blue water with no seaweed, I suggest the sister resort a little further in Cancun called Beach Palace. It’s adults only but has amazing beaches.
So did you use credits from meeting to go to grand? Tax amount? Did you ask for 3 free dsys for grand pass?
Yes we used the credits for the Grand. I don’t know the exact amount. It they were for 3 days for 4 people. We only went twice.
@@OutdoorCanucks next I has not been there since 2005. Is the food still any good? How difficult are reservations these days? Did you find many ppl fighting for pool chairs? Which bar do you think did the best?
The food is great in my opinion. But that’s obviously a subjective thing. Reservations are easy now that they have a Palace app you can use on your phone. I didn’t see any issues with chairs at the pool and especially not at the beach. They have a pretty good policy that if you leave your things and towel unattended for too long they remove everything.
As for bars, they’re all just regular bars, I don’t drink a lot so I don’t have a proper opinion on that.
