That house is really nice and the backyard view is so lovely. There was a great deal of lovely things in the Estate Sale. Wish I was there!
I enjoyed going along on your shopping trip. I have to say you spurred me on to continue my own homes clean out. I'm not a big collector of things and started Swedish Death Cleaning ( for lack of a better title) several years back and I'm still at it. I want as little as possible for my children to have to deal with when I pass. I'e never seen such a packed home.
Thank you for watching and good luck on your home clean out! Sounds like you have made great progress already. 😀
I’m so glad you got that square brass. Candle holder. And… that rocker!! Loved it
Loved the white lamp in the first bedroom and thought price was great.
I would have lost my mind in there! So any beautiful things! I'm into French country! those floral runners were to die for!
It was definitely one of those places where you could just lose yourself with all the beautiful pieces! French country style is so timeless, and those floral runners were absolutely stunning-I totally get it! 😊 Thanks so much for watching!
The prices were unbelievable! I wish I had been there. You passed many pieces I would have bought.
They really were great prices!
Loved that brass square candle holder (even before it was rare). I was like “pick it up! “. Loved the lamp you got!
Thank you! I only found out it the holder was rare after I had gone home, so luckily I picked it up as it was just so unique!
Friday I went to my first estate sale I'm 58 yrs old I was like a kid in a candy store seriously! I'm already looking forward to my next estate sale. What I enjoyed most was the people I was pleasantly surprised by the people very polite there wasn't the attitude I was expecting. Though I had to chase a few people from my hold table. They weren't aware that it was a holding table. But i had a friend watching it. 3 days and counting to my next estate sale! One sale and I'm addicted!!
I am so happy to hear that! It sounds like you had an amazing experience at your first estate sale! It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the atmosphere and found the people to be polite. Estate sales can definitely be thrilling, especially when you discover treasures that spark joy. Best of luck with your next estate sale adventure - may you find even more amazing items to add to your collection! 💛
Yes, I do use my vintage cookware. In fact I have the same Corning ware set. Have had it since 1983 and has lasted! Plus, still use some of my Tupperware pieces, some of the other ones I have had to get rid of from over use.
Loved the brass candle holder, gorgeous.
I wish we had those kind of prices in the RGV, Texas
So glad you went back to get the brass candle stick with the push up. I'll buy it for surely.
What an amazing house, prices are amazing to UK. I would have definitely bought the French style pink planter😘
Yes Paula I agree! The French style pink planter was a beautiful find. 😊 Thank you so much for watching!
Can you tell where this estate sale was. Would love to find one like this. The furniture was beautiful and in great condition. And not expensive at all. I’m surprised there weren’t a lot of resellers around buying everything. A buyers dream.
such cheap prices. the furniture looked like good quality and was really priced low! that was fun. thanks
Thanks for watching!
I saw so many things I wanted!
This was a very nice home some classy lady had lived here good quality pieces.... i loved the the square bottom candlestick holder..great sale...
Fun tour of the estate house.. beautiful furniture. Always bring like cross shoulder cloth bags.. easier to carry awkward pieces while you browse...
Hi Ashley, what a great sale with such good prices! I loved all that furniture especially the console near the front door that you pointed out! I wouldn’t have been able to leave without it! Thanks! 😊
Thank you so much! So many good pieces, but I just couldn't commit to where they would go!
Nice finds. In Vermont, they did away with plastic bags several years ago. Since then, you have to bring your own reusable bags to stores. Even grocery stores. So any time we see plastic bags like you used there, they are like gold around here! Haha :)
Oh wow! Thank you for sharing and watching! 😀
We always have about 4-5 fabric shopping bags in the car so as NOT to use plastic. I would love to have found out how much the cane settee was worth. I have one in excellent condition with a newly upholstered cushion ??? 🥰 what a fabulous shopping trip to go on, the little pie crust table, the tall boy, oh my gosh! It’s a good job I wasn’t there, I would have spent a small fortune 💕🥰💕
Why in a state of tree huggers who mandate reuse did you not have your own bags🤔
Not everyone here is a tree hugger.
I know! You don’t go to the beach without a bathing suit!
@@ElainaLEllisit’s not about being a tree hugger! It’s about being prepared, like wearing comfortable shoes. That’s all. Common sense!
All of that furniture was so nice!
Absolutely beautiful pieces! I wanted so many things
Thank you so much Olivia! I'm glad you enjoyed the pieces. There were so many beautiful items-it was hard to resist wanting everything! 😀
Just discovered your channel, you are so calm and your voice is very pleasing. Where in SC are you, I used to live in Greenville. I loved it and miss it.
First time watching. So glad u went bck & got the brass candle stick tht pushed up.
Welcome and thank you for watching Debbie! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and that you liked the brass candlestick. It's those little details that can really make a piece stand out. 💛
I have never been to an estate sale but you have me wanting to go just for the thrill of the hunt. 😊
Yes! I am so happy to hear that! They can be very fun. 🤍
Oh go..my husband and I quit eating out and go to an estate sale most Saturday.
We seldom buy stuff we need in stores..estate sales are the way to go for decor, tools, yard stuff, cards , clothes, etc etc. I left my winter vest somewhere got a better, cuter, like new condition. We don't need much now, so we get cleaning stuff, paper supplies..etc. it is addicting. ❤❤❤
The large red toile porcelain pot is called a cache pot and you put a plant in a plain pot inside it. That way it will look beautiful but is easy to water etc.
I love that! Thank you for sharing 🤍
Thank you! It wasn’t a vase or a garbage bin! Phew!
i always bring 2 sturdy shopping bags when i go to any sales.
The low chest in the bathroom had a mirror attached to it, so it was probably used as a vanity table. There were some great pieces there.
I would have bought that lamp just so I could put it in my car and quit worrying about it! I was stressing out lol
LOL yes it was much heavier than I expected too!
@@thecarolinabungalowit’s a 1970’s -80’s lamp from the Montgomery Wards store. I bought one exactly like it when I first got married in 1978
Great sale! I would have left with many pieces. Thanks for the video!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it. 💛
So much brassy goodness at this one!!
So much! Thanks for watching! 😀
and Mrs T Great video very easy to follow you around glad you found some good items
Thank you for watching!
Wow I saw so many things I would have bought there.
It was full of so many treasures, something for everyone!
I would have grabbed the statues! Lots of beautiful items and I thought the prices were very fair. I’d also love to go back on the final day to see if the prices were 50% off.
Looking back the statues were definitely something I wish I would have gotten as well! 🤍
I love the the oval dishes they were beautiful.
Loved it all . Great prices
My left ear really enjoyed this video.
Pristine pieces and great prices. I would have spent lots of time picking this place.
It really was a picker’s dream! So many treasures in one spot. Thank you so much for watching 💛
Great sale! I would have spent alot of money at that one, good prices.
Yes! Thank you for watching. 💛
Great estate sale but I agree too many people.
Very overwhelming but nice finds at good prices. The bag situation was odd at best, glad you asked again.
Thanks so much Karen, yes I agree on the finds and prices! 🤍
The people wouldn’t have worried me. A shopper is a SHOPPER, you go in for the kill.😂
Whew! So glad you grabbed the square brass candle holder! Great video!
(I don’t think the guy you paid really heard what you were asking for 🤷🏻♀️ when you asked for a bag)
I agree! I would've carried it all to my car either way LOL. Thank you for the kind words and for watching! 💛
So many nice pieces....love the light you bought .🥰...that bed was beautiful !
Thank you! 🤗
Great finds!
Thank you so much Sharon!
I have so many things in basement I broke my glass top of my lamp liike that. Looking for another shade now oh boy
I liked shopping. Thanks.
Thank you so much for watching and I am so glad you enjoyed it! 😀
I’m surprised you don’t bring your own bags and a little place card like an index card that has your name on it and hold. So you can place that card on your items on the table and always bring reusable bags.
I just found your channel.
Was very excited because I live in Virginia Beach.
For some reason, I missed this sale Of course after watching your video Im mad at myself. I Hit the subscribe button and will definitely be watching some of your older videos and watching for new ones!❤
I'm thrilled you found my channel Patty! It's great to connect with someone from Virginia Beach. Don't worry about missing the sale - there will be plenty more opportunities to explore! Thank you so much for subscribing, and I look forward to sharing more content with you soon! 🌻
BRING YOUR OWN STURDY BAGS.
There’s something sad about estate sales. It feels like people picking over someone’s life.
Those who go to estate sales are helping out the family by purchasing items and giving those items a second life. I go to a lot of estate sales and I always say a prayer for the family while I am in their home.
I like Estate Sales for People who have lost everything to house fire, tornadoes, & such who actually need to replace everything & will really cherish & use everything.
It's hard when some just go grab up everything.
Even our thrift stor s are outrageous because of resalers especially the ones online.
My Aunt was a resalers for years & had booths in Antique Malls from Atlanta to Charlotte.
I so agree! People picking up stuff and just not even understanding it’s history or the love that family. I find it very sad
The furniture was priced so inexpensively for the quality. I would have bought the piece in the entry so fast🤣. Many beautiful things, it would have been easy to go overboard at this sale….I don’t even want to think about how much I would have spent!
Oh definitely! If only I had the space for some of those pieces, such great finds!
In Australia there no estate sale. If there no will public trust government organisation is taking over and they making auctions. Non sold items left overs given to charity shops. The best items sold on the auction and go to public trust charity. 🌞
Wow! Thank you for sharing that information. 💛
Question: can’t you have an Estate Sale of your own? Let’s say a relative dies and there’s a house full of stuff you need to get rid of, can’t you have an “Open House Sale” ?
so much nice stuff
I agree Marilyn! Thank you for watching!
Ever thought of using a basket to put smalls in while you're shopping?
That's a good idea!
It's the first thing I grab when thrifting, too. I put one or two of the plastic hand-held baskets into large pushable rolling cart for smalls.@@thecarolinabungalow
that’s perfect!
Especially when you go to check out. Just lift the small baskets onto the counter. There's less chance of damaging breakables this way, too. @@thecarolinabungalow
Hi Ashley! Can you tell me the name of this lake? Is it in New England. Loved shopping with you and am subscribing right now!
Can't believe you don't automatically take bags with you each time.
I can’t believe you passed up the yellow and gray Vilroy and Bach dishes. They might have been too high but I would have had to look!! Really like your channel
Thank you for the kind words Gail and for watching!
I know! There were so many quality things she walked right past she could have sold for a small fortune on Etsy!
oh my gosh the articulated lamp for 65.00 great price!!
I agree!
All that beautiful things and your walking around with a candle stick😂
Buy the rocker! $35 unreal! I wish I was there, I would have needed a truck for sure! Nice vintage furniture & dressers.
I know! The price was crazy, if only I had a truck too!
So sad to see people gawping over the cherished possessions of another. I know it’s part of life but just so sad. Depressing 😢
The estate guy was a jerk; bags were clearly visible.most estate people working a sale are very helpful.
you saw the square brass candle holder was 10 but you let him reprice it for you at $5...thats kind of shady..
Thank you!
Thank you for watching Barbara! 🌻
You should have a coton bag with you all the time. Much better
I agree!
It seemed as though you barely made a full pass through that dream sale! 😢😢😢 Loved what you did purchase, though.
Just curious, what are you filming with?
Funny they didn’t have a 3 way light bulb in that lamp
That is a great point Jenn! Thank you for watching 😀
You talk about such good prices and beautiful stuff but you aren’t buying much. Farm table would have made nice replacement for your desk. Seems like a lot of items for resale.
People hoard a lot of stuff. Compulsive buying not necessary that’s how you end up with a hoard. I’m a reseller too very long tail sales have to put up with a lot of clutter and use basement and spare room for storage. Storage units expensive
The lamp you picked is a repop and not the real thing
Can you share a link to the repop?
I hope nobody Sat on the candle you put on the chair 😮
But anyway you have to come prepared
Why cant the business provide bags for customers spending their hard earned money?
👍
Thanks for watching!
That was the most beautiful home and furniture and of course I love everything about it because I'm old, I guess. The furniture looks new! When I saw the unusual candle stick that would have been something I would pick. I have a collection of chalkware that has become somewhat scarce now, but they had a nice piece for $30. I have the blue corning ware that I used since the 70's, although the plain old glassware got the most usage. Lovely video!
Thank you so much for watching and yes the furniture was all like new!
why would you pass lladro figurines and go to a 3 dollar milk glass bud vase? maybe you need to learn more? what kin of shop do you have?
SO MANY PRICELESS ITEMS WERE OFFERED AT LOW PRICES. YOU MISSED OUT ON MAKING THOUSANDS. YOU NEED A PHONE WITH APPS WHERE YOU CAN LOOK UP ITEMS VALUE WHILE SHOPPING.
Thanks for watching Virgina! While it's true that many valuable items were available at great prices, I have a specific selection process for my shop. I prioritize items that not only have resale value but also fit the aesthetic and style that I personally like.
Need to win lottery to live on the water. I just find my favourite spot for free no taxes and go sit by the water
you should walk thru once and shop then go back and shoot the video.
That's a good idea!
$170 seems high on that dresser….
Some pieces were definitely a bit too high for me!
What no jewelry
Prices were low.
SO MANY VALUABLE PIECES. SAD YOU DID NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ALL THE PIECES AT LOWER-- THAN- NORMAL PRICES. YOU COULD HAVE MADE THOUSANDS.
Thank you for your observation! While there were indeed many valuable pieces available at lower-than-normal prices, I prioritize items that align with the aesthetic and style of my shop, rather than buying everything I see. Each item I choose reflects my curated collection and ensures that I can provide unique pieces to my customers. I appreciate your perspective though!
Are you going t o buy anything.
Always carry a bag
Bring your own bags and boxes to estate sales. 🙄
Every shopper has their own personal preference. Do you ask every person you see at a grocery store if they are bringing their own bag? No, the grocery store is a business that provides bags for products. If you go into Macys or Nordstroms, they offer bags to customers who are spending money.
Comp 175.00 lol no thank you
Vulture.
A very strange approach to the sale of property: the boxes are never prepared... so that the buyer can pack his purchased goods... there is no newspaper or packaging.
- You regularly visit such houses and similar sales places, why don’t you ever take simple boxes with you? After all, you see for yourself that sellers simply don’t care how you get your purchases to your car.
- The one who carries boxes for his purchases in the car... he is a real good guy!!!
- I don’t respect people who are not prudent in life.
I can not believe you did not buy the square candle holder for $10 that was worth $179! You passed up so many great deals. You need to do your homework on vintage pieces!
No homework needed on this one, if you watch the video back you will see I actually did buy it 😀
She did go back and get it for $5.00.
@@VivianDamon Thank you Vivian 🤍
No need to judge. You buy what you like and I enjoy watching her thrift. She does a great job.
Cabinet in the front hall: "Imagine how this would look stripped down to its natural finish?" Why would you trash a piece of furniture with its original finish in apparently good condition?
Thumbs down. I'm blocking your channel from my recommendations
So everyone has to like the same finish as you? Get a life and grow up. I hope your nightmares are filled with people taking pieces of furniture and stripping the original finish over and over again.
You’re such an attractive lady. Why do you have those awful tattoos?
Wow, what a rude comment to make to someone.
Getting a tattoo is very much a personal choice and not for anyone to comment on. Like religion or politics.
Just discovered your channel, you are so calm and your voice is very pleasing. Where in SC are you, I used to live in Greenville. I loved it and miss it.
