Mcoplus battery grip for Sony A7 iii - Unboxing/Review

I wanted a battery grip that didn't break the bank for my Sony A7 iii. Does the Mcoplus grip fit my needs? Spoiler... I think so!

This just not working on mine, strange it's like it not even detecting the batteries..

That sounds unfortunate. I would make sure your batteries are fully seated in the tray and flat, make sure nothing is in the way of the metal contacts on the tray where it connects inside the grip, and make sure the "lock" button isn't on. If that all looks good, you might have to reach out to the company for warranty. I've not done this personally, so good luck!

Is the quarter inche hole on the battery grip off center ? The Meike version has the screw hole of center not allowing you to use any sort of cage

The quarter inch hole in the grip is in-line vertically with the one on the body of the camera. It is slightly forward of the original, however, by about a quarter inch. I hope that answers your question. Good luck!
