For the pullout drawer cabinet, you can make it into a space for your son with his cups and his plates. Promotes independence and will probably make things a little easier for you once baby comes. Our oldest was 3 months shy from turning 3 when we had our second and I loved how independent she was able to be with some stuff, specially in the first few weeks. Now we have our 3rd on our way, our second will be 6 months shy from turning 3 and she loves how independent she can be with some stuff just like her sister. Hope this helps and congratulations!
I live in a small apartment. After years of looking under every kitchen and bathroom cabinet to find this or that cleaning supply, I finally got an over the door system from target. It has 8 trays about 4 inches deep. Spray bottles just hook on the outside of the trays.i have this on my linen closet door. And no it doesn't make my linen closet smell chemical. (I also unwrap my lever bar soap. It hardened the soap so it will last longer and gives a great scent to the closet. For spices, I have a basket for all my seeds--like sesame and Cardamon. I group all my baking spices together, as well as savory herbs, and mexican spices in other baskets. It works for me. I'm new here and enjoy your videos.
I like this video. Very motivating. I live in just shy of 300sqft with my partner. We downsized a LOT before moving in and I'm still working on getting rid of some stuff. We were supposed to only have been here for at most 2 years but, life never works out the way you think it will. I have been depressed lately and not wanting to do anything and letting things pile up. In such a small space it doesn't take long for it to get overwhelming. This video has given me some motivation. Thank you.
I saw the nursery make over and I loved it. I don't know why UA-cam didn't respect it. At nearly 74 I'm not looking to do a nursery. But I have always loved all things baby. So I enjoyed it and enjoying this one
for chalk like that i used to put all of them and all the broken peices back in the box over and over....... now, you know the cheap outside chalk that comes with like six in those plastic containers with the lids.... i use one of those..... the labels on those little boxes come off super easy and they are pretty nice little container for organizing things.
Under my kitchen sink I have two sets of Sterilite small 5-drawer units. In them, I put dishwasher pods, sponges, magic erasers, kitchen gloves, etc. My spray bottles and Barkeepers Friend go to the left of the plumbing. This could be an alternative for you.
for my daughters birthday cards I hole punched them top and bottom (after I lined them all up) and made a cover with chip board and decorative cardstock (and 1st birthday, etc) and put a couple binder rings on them and its like a little book!!
We leave dry chow out for our cat to graze at will and this satisfies his natural grazing instincts. He gets his wet food in the morning. He doesn’t pace around or beg. Maybe try the chow thing. Your cats are saying “I’m hungry”. Just found your channel and am enjoying your organizing ideas and your easy, calm audio.
With the birthday cards you can get either scrapbook or a hardcover drawing book and put them in there. I glued mine in and used a small piece of velcro in each one to keep them closed while flipping through and it's not a strong velcro so I can open them to read without pulling on them too much
I saw a really cool idea for organizing paper products for your children. You can find one of those Rubbermaid filing storage bins that you can put hanging file folders in. And you label each file folder by year (1 year, 2 year etc.) and you just file away stuff they create or you collect by year. I.e birthday cards, artwork, awards etc. Then if you decide you want to memory, keep them for later. You know which year they are from or I've seen some moms just give their child the whole Bin when they get older as a keepsake.
I think your under sink drawer system will work better for you if you turn the drawer rack over. I think you have the rack itself upside down, which makes the drawers not slide as well as they should.
Old sheets can protect outside plants from freezing, etc. I keep a few old sets also for covering furniture when sanding/dry walling/painting… so many things, they have come in handy…
Looks amazing with lots of great ideas for small spaces. I live in an 850 sqft apartment with 2 kids, 4 ppl total, so this helps me get some awesome ideas! Thank you! As for the cards, I have cards from years ago and I have no idea what to do with mine either. Definitely gonna keep checking for advice on that with you.
Photo Album perhaps? If you a person who sews, you could take his duvet covers or sheets and make him a reading teepee. I have seen UA-cam vids showing how to do this. Use the pillow covers to fill with pillows sewn together on the long side, to sit on or unfold to make a camping mattress for a child. Seeing as the duvets are sewn together only on one side you can open that seam, re-edge the opened out material and its now a sheet for the bigger bed. Beds are always the same length just wider. I am assuming what was in the bin was not just single sheets.
hey girlie anything that has to do with cleaning, organizing and decorating I’m here for it!! It’s a natural high for me, can’t deal with disorder. lol tfs
Great video on the cleanup. I use my dish brush like yours and go inside the garbage disposal and clean the gunk under the black rim where the food sticks . It harbors all the food and makes your garbage disposal smell horible. Or i use a long handled blue brush i bought from dollar tree meant for the toilet . Bought several of them they are wonderful cleaners. Then i splash a little essential oil inside. You can adjust you hot water by the hotwater tank as well. Mines was like that in other house i had.
My Mom kept "Baby Books" for my two older brothers and I...Such a Treasure to Have!! GO Mom!!! SHE was the BEST!! Saved such sentimental cards, pics, etc. Her efforts speak loudly of Her Love...🥰
Hello Catherine 👋. I'm so glad I found you on my internet tv u tube . I live in a small apartment in West Virginia. I will be using alit of your ideas 🎉🎉🎉
On your old birthday cards you’re wanting to keep, you can get a plastic accordion file organizer, something that won’t take up too much space. Hobby Lobby has scrapbook paper plastic holders to organize the paper and keeps it from changing colors. I have quite a few that I use to organize other things besides paper and that are great for stacking and hold quite a bit. You can also get photo albums that usually protect paper from changing colors or fading and the dreaded sticking together (which you could also use photo storage boxes available in several colors and can be easily stacked) and can be labeled, put on a shelf, and easily enjoyed. Considering you are well voiced in organizing and have a Cricut Joy(I’ve got the Explore 2 and a Silhouette) I’m sure you need just one more thing to do on taking care of a little infant and a toddler.
The cupboard you put baking supplies in. Maybe make it the kids pantry? One shelf for snacks other for cups plates etc? It's low enough for the kids to help you grab/put away. Then it's there responsibility to keep tidy.
Looks very nice, my pantry is small very crowded, I’ve redone it several times, still had to stack it up, also it is Pretty tall so I can’t up up to far, I have a small fall down easy, I live alone, no extra help. I love those plastic Containers, guess I didn’t hear where you got them,I know the ones at Walmart are so expensive. Looks great, hope you and new baby are doing well. My granddaughter just had a c section , she lives at Least hour away, her hubby couldn’t get off work, just started new job,she had a four year old, guess he did What he could do to help, she done really good, even had to take bay back to hospital a couple times, she had him a few days early, water broke at home, but he was Jaundice, took a few weeks, but all better now. God Bless,👍👍👍♥️
in Carson's room, you have that organizer that is on the door, it runs up the door and you can hang the baskets on it. That looks like I have seen it before, but I can't remember where, is it Ikea? or Container Store? Thank you!
Hi, it’s been awhile since I’ve been here. Nice to see your family happy and growing! Congratulations! A bit of unsolicited advice. As your oldest is now in school you will be inundated with artwork. 😆 Develop your plan now. It sneaks up on you. And with a new baby you might fall behind. (My boys were 4 years apart too.) It helps to date each piece that makes it home for organizing later. Displaying it and maybe taking a picture with your son will be a nice keepsake, if you decide to recycle the artwork later. Get a nice big flat bin for the keep pile and it will keep it preserved and dust free. If you decide to document with pictures maybe make a photo book on Shutterfly or similar to keep memories out to view. Otherwise, the pictures will stay in your phone and never be viewed. (Maybe that’s just me😳) I have tons of pictures and I didn’t follow this advice. It’s so daunting to do catch up later. 😉 Good luck and god bless your growing family!
love ❤️ yr channel like the decluttering and yr organising skills i had single beds 🛌 for kids as it didn’t take up room like a full size bed. tv in kids room was a no no because kids won’t sleep 😴 anyway good luck 🤞 be good to see yr basement. thought the majority of toys and craft could’ve gone there good job 👍 though whatever works for you and yr family we’re all different cheers 🥂
a secret that one of my friends mom did was she saved all the birthday cards for EVERYONE that was in the house (at least in some point of time aka kids and grandkids now) have at least one card for each person to save each year and she put $20 in each card (after it was opened and already seen) and then put them in storage. she said "this way when I pass or when I can no longer care for myself, they will all have some back up money that can help they during those hard times."
Camile Ridge...Excellent idea! Likely Good Timing! LoL (kids!,older or not! 😉) My Mom did such things...Means so much...Although she's nit around anymore...Her thoughtfulness is a reminder of her very genuine and Unsurpassed Love, for myself abd two older Brothers! Even being MALE...They too appreciate and treasure her very thoughtful, living gestures! ❤ Me TOO!!! It's the little things...🥰
Don’t get rid of cube unit. Put clothing he has outgrown or you just want gone. That is a good place to store them while waiting to go to thrift store or other children that has less than your son. Never get rid if storage or it falls down in a heap
Congrats! For the cards, I’d say grab one of those accordion envelope things and make tabs for either person or holiday/birthday and collect that cards that way. Super affordable. Or you could do a photo album but may not be as easy to look at if you wanted
Even a binder with the clear sleeves could work. Can slide the cards for each birthday into a sleeve and label which kid/year/age/holiday they're from. Super compact and infinitely expandable with a bigger binder if you outgrow the first one
Congratulations on the new Baby!! Great room decor as it looks like it will help your child keep things organized! I am surprised by many videos I have seen of people painting their house yet do not where coveralls and you have such a nice sweater and leggings. For me the first time I ever painted I had paint completely all over my clothes and destroyed paints and new top. And roller spray paint as I tried a roller on a friend’s home and got paint sprayed in my hair from the roller. How do you not get paint (and I am accident prone for years and I would have stepped and got paint on my foot)
I’m mostly just lazy when it comes to painting and don’t want to put in the effort 😂 but the paint does make a mess sometimes! I find that if it gets on my clothes, dawn dishsoap and warm water right away gets it out. If it gets on the floor, I keep a damp rag with me to immediately wipe it up
old cards.. you can punch holes in them string them and hang them on the wall. or you could just do what you currently are doing and just make a spot for just those. I would probably choose like a chest or a small box specifically for cards. Something that can be easily tucked away.. I have a tote that rolls under my bed that is quite low profile in height and anything that I want to keep but don't really have place for it out in the open or anywhere else goes in there..
For that annoying corner LaZSusan, you may want to put things that you don't use on a daily basis. Another game-changer is storing your food storage containers with lids on. I know the natural tendency is to stack for extra space, but for me, it really changed my perspective. Congrats again to you all on Baby Boy#2!
Re: Birthday cards. Can you get one of those picture clip banners to hang up along one of his walls and each birthday you can make a ritual of hanging his new card up on it? That way he can see them, even if you hang them out of reach.
What a sweet mommy you are! And so much energy and creativity! I couldn’t watch the parts about all the processed foods, but that’s just me. Your organization of everything looks lovely! 😁💜🙋♀️
I’m new to your channel and this is my first video. I know I’m kinda late to the party however congratulations 🥳 on your baby! Hope you and your family are doing well 🙂
May I suggest on doing a scrapbook for his birthday cards. Maybe add a picture of the age he became.and pair it up with his birthday cards. Remember you don’t have to keep them all but if you do want a memory just group the ones you don’t use and take a picture add that to the scrapbook. Then you can journal the names of the persons that gave him a card. Keep the fancy ones or real cute ones. Sometimes there are special messages for sure keep that. You’ll find it can relax you. Use acid free glue and paper, easy to find at Michael’s. Have fun and enjoy your memories.
One thing I wouldn't do is decant half full bags of things into containers that only fit half a bag, like you did with the jasmine rice. I did the exact same thing and then when I bought a new bag, of rice in my case too, it didn't fit into that container and I had to find one that actually fit the contents of the whole bag. And yes, decanting is so satisfying :)
Don't let anyone make you feel bad about cereal choices. I have seen "unhealthy kid cereals" that had more vitamins and a lot less sugar than the "healthy" ones. #quitmomshaming
Make a scrapbook for each one of your baby's and put the birthday cards in there something I want to do with my baby's and then when they turn 18 give it to them to show them the many people in there life's over the years cause people/friends come and go but family always stays the same
ua-cam.com/video/SLL1OOU0iYk/v-deo.html hey guys! Here is a link to my newest kitchen organization video if you need more ideas!!
The dollar tree sells rings. Bday cards are great to make a little book for each year! Great keep sake!

i have the same corner cabinet and i put a huge wooden lazy susan on the bottom two shelves. i love it and i can reach everything with ease.
CONGRATULATIONS to the three of you on the new arrival, take it easy looking forward to new content, but no hurry take your time bless you all❤🎂🎉💐

I saw a really cool idea for organizing paper products for your children. You can find one of those Rubbermaid filing storage bins that you can put hanging file folders in. I love this idea. I did it for my babies. Now in their 30s (still my babies) they love showing them off to their friends!🤣🤣

I have all of my birthday cards in a photo album. Saves space and keeps them organized.
I think your under sink drawer system will work better for you if you turn the drawer rack over. I think you have the rack itself upside down, which makes the drawers not slide as well as they should.

You did a great job momma. I stay organized I'm a neat freak.

I’m so glad u bought a house. A house takes a lot of time an 💰 the way u like it. So be save 💰 an. Be patience. Good 👍🏻 luck sweetie your house 🏡.
Oh and yes you can donate bedding. Especially to thrift stores like Goodwill, Value Village etc.

Put the cards in a scrap book. I did that with my daughter when she was little. It's a great "memory book" to see the cards Grandma, etc. gave her.
My Mom kept "Baby Books" for my two older brothers and I...Such a Treasure to Have!! GO Mom!!! SHE was the BEST!! Saved such sentimental cards, pics, etc.

There are also the small (I think 5x7) 3 ring binders with page protector that should fit a variety of cards and can be easily flipped through!
Just a thought for your corner cabinet, you could use some lazy susans that spin. Trust it makes it so convenient to reach things.
Hi Catherine, your videos always very good and helpful, and again congratulations for your baby

i had single beds 🛌 for kids as it didn’t take up room like a full size bed.
tv in kids room was a no no because kids won’t sleep 😴
anyway good luck 🤞
be good to see yr basement.
thought the majority of toys and craft could’ve gone there
good job 👍 though whatever works for you and yr family

Beautiful job.How about using a lightweight curtain o piece of fabric hanging from bottom shelf in laundry room to hide your dryer vent?
Beautiful closet!
Great content love this! Idk if someone already mentioned but animal shelters take used bedding and towels!
If it gets on the floor, I keep a damp rag with me to immediately wipe it up
Just plain old alcohol will get it out too!
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿great vid loved it such great ideas
Have you thought about stringing up the cards like a banner on the wall or from the corners as you would hang the party streamers? Just a thought.
Pet shelters will take old bedding - even stained sheets. I aspire to be as organized as you are. 😊
Congratulations on new 👶 great ideas thank you. Cards and art scan them. Would it help your son keep organized with pictures for labels?
Heyyy family 🖐🖐and I just subscribe to your channel and I love it
In the birthday cards , you can make a little booklet of each year . Put a cover card on front with year or age ..
old cards.. you can punch holes in them string them and hang them on the wall. or you could just do what you currently are doing and just make a spot for just those.
Thank you!!!
I'm impressed that the containers actually fit inside the new Ikea door shelves.
Good job...the closet looks great. Couldn't find the organizer you installed on the interior closet door? Is it still available? I love it. Thanks
You could do a album from his 1 first paint in school to birthday 🎂 card. B- Certifícate. Etc. So when he’s is big u could show.
Closet is looking really great your husband does to look great
Re: Birthday cards.
😁💜🙋♀️
It looks so good. Is it a closet for his toys and books?
I’m new to your channel and this is my first video. I know I’m kinda late to the party however congratulations 🥳 on your baby! Hope you and your family are doing well 🙂
I love that small vacuum, where did you get it.
Congrats 💗
May I suggest on doing a scrapbook for his birthday cards. Maybe add a picture of the age he became.and pair it up with his birthday cards. Remember you don’t have to keep them all but if you do want a memory just group the ones you don’t use and take a picture add that to the scrapbook. Then you can journal the names of the persons that gave him a card. Keep the fancy ones or real cute ones. Sometimes there are special messages for sure keep that. You’ll find it can relax you. Use acid free glue and paper, easy to find at Michael’s. Have fun and enjoy your memories.
Im going crazy trying to figure out where you got those pantry LL Containers.. They are so cute I want them lol
You should put opend syrup in the fridge. Keeps it fresher longer and it wont get mold ither
This is great. I am not sure if i missed it but where is that white cabinet from?
Girl you did your thing while pregnant!!! Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳. I'm glad you and baby are well and recovering 😘
Where do you store Carson shoes within the bedroom
Hermoso todo.
So birthday cards, if the don't have a heart felt message or anything then toss them, keeps the amount down as well as help with mom guilt
This looks like your “nesting” video before baby! 😀
Congratulations thanks for sharing your channel you can donate Bering to thrift store have no ideas what do with the bedding a suggestion
You use a lot of water rinsing dishes. What do you think the dishwasher water is for. Scrap off dishes and put in the dishwasher.
i don’t know if you figured out the old birthday card situation but you can make a scrapbook out of them
As long as Carson likes his room it's all good.
Bedding, so long as it doesn't have holes, can be donated to a wildlife rescue organization. They also take old towels.
I put my serving bowls and weird stuff I only used at gatherings in the corner cabinet
Bedding can be washed and donated to animal shelters and animal rescues. Great 2nd life for bedding and towels
Don't let anyone make you feel bad about cereal choices. I have seen "unhealthy kid cereals" that had more vitamins and a lot less sugar than the "healthy" ones. #quitmomshaming
We're did you buy the draw pantry from
Where are the food storage container from....they are cute
You could create a memory box for him and include special birthday cards and other memory items.
Take the bday cards in order per age and put into a binder
Make a scrapbook for each one of your baby's and put the birthday cards in there something I want to do with my baby's and then when they turn 18 give it to them to show them the many people in there life's over the years cause people/friends come and go but family always stays the same
