Absolutely agree. Talion with Backflips LPs, 18t pinion and punch set at 9. The thing is a BEAST!!!

not really, he just pointed out all the obvious things we can see, for example the kraton hubs are different from the talion hubs, he could of shown a width length and wheelbase comparison, and yes the kraton dose have a massive center body roll bar thing also he didnt mention the talion dosent come with a fan on the motor, i only own a talion but i already new this about both because google pics, im sure there are alot more things different
Great comparison vid bro great details and shots of these two beasts. One thing I actually noticed tbh honest was that you didn't mention the difference in servo mount position for the talion and i don't own the new exb/rtr talion but the older models were designed with a different weight distribution/ layout with the chassis brace being different atleast in the rear with the center diff/motor mount more centered on the chassis compared to the kraton(not sure about this new talion but curious). Can't wait to try those good old katar wheels/tires i enjoy running but belted should be sweet unless someone's looking to really flip it alot of rotations they look promising no doubt. Talion Steering servo is north and south, Kraton East and West. I need the Talion bumper for my V3.
Kraton seems like it might roll over easier but handle jumps better. I'm a fan of the Talion style though. Thanks man!

@@DJSPACEJUNKIE I rebuilt my Kraton on the Mohave chassis and now it´s almost impossible to roll it over (It´s kind of counter-intuitive).
@@jotcw81 Hey bud. Why would that be counter-intuitive ? Dont you want your truck to be steady and not roll or flip over when turning fast ? Im not sure what one I want .. I used to have a old school savage x 4.6 big block back in the day I loved it !

I’m just getting back into the RC’s and I’m ready go pick something out. I’ve been going back and forth between the Armor Kraton in 6S vs the Armor Kraton in 4S. Out out those two which do you think is the better option? Not to throw a curve ball at you, but I was also really liked the looks of the Outcasts, until I asked around my local hobby shops and a couple of UA-cam channels and a lot of people said that the Kraton body size and profile would be easier to control and more of a all around RC.

I'm kinda changing a Kraton to a Talion & the chassis is a little different with the servo mount position turned 90°, & it may even be slightly longer by a few mm.
The rear wing is smaller on the Talion & it's low profile mount sits directly behind the rear tower.
The hubs are the same as the Typhon/Senton/Mojave & maybe even the Fireteam. And so are the outer front CVD ends & outer rear dogbone stubs where they connect to the wheels/hexes.
The body can be swapped if you swap & flip the mounts to the other side...
I have some other ideas for it, but I guess I should get some footage... 😏
Does the Talion have a reliable rear diff? I've been wanting to get the Kraton, but see tons of people having diff issues.

Thanks, I was waiting for a comparison vid. Seems like the Kraton is a better value plus is anyone going to actually jump the Talion? It seems like 'EXB' is not necessary on a speed run vehicle. The Talion has the same tire design as a Vortek.
You took the kraton body saver off it comes with a massive one. The best one of all 6s

My Kraton does have the center body support.
You took it off. There should be a tall and wide tower to protect the roof from crushing in.

Hey 👋🏽. I’m in the process of setting up my kraton exb build and I wanted to use the blx 2050 setup like you did. It comes with a 25t servo horn but I’m pretty sure that the spektrum servos have 23t. What servo did you go with?
I found it strange that a Horizon Hobby vehicle, with Spektrum stickers on, comes with a 25t provision for the servo knowing it will not fit a spektrum servo. Can you help point me in the right direction with the servo? No pun intended. Thank you. 👍🏽🤘🏽✌🏽
I used the Power Hobby Servo and then also got one of their aluminum Servo horns
Could you measure the weight of one Kraton EXB 6S wheel vs. one Talion EXB wheel? I just wonder how much lighter the Talion wheels are and if most of the lighter weight the Talion has comes from just the wheels. Arrma dont list the weight of the different wheels.
The Talion EXB belted Katar tires are great for speed but they are actually too light for the Talion if you want good control in the air. The backflips are the best tire for it.
I love my Kraton 6s EXB it’s a beast of an Rc! It can do everything from on road to off road and flies like a ✈️ !!! 🤣🤣 Yes it might be a bit slower but is 60 mph really slow? It’s definitely in my top 5 RC’s to drive. The Talion on the other hand..... well I guess I need one to find out. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Rc car problems 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 can’t wait for the comparison videos. 👊👊👍👍

It's funny you say people put 8s into arrma kraton 6s because I am one of those people you can really tell the difference I like it in 6s but it's way more fun on 8s when you can easily beat a dirt bike and keep up with traffic 😁
Just upgraded my Kraton 6s to 8s with the max 6 1650kv combo a few days ago!

800€ truck here in spain, you need to buy an extra card to somehow program the esc and change a setting to not make the car feel like crap, have to refill the oil inside the diffs with proper weight to make the car work somehow fun... you literally pay for an unfinished product, mechanic simulator, not to mention dealing with these stupid straps for the battery and the body clips that takes like 3 minutes to take off or put on, how people recommend this over any high end traxxas car is beyond any logic, guess some people just want to work on their car for the sake of working on it...

As for the Talion EXB I'm pre-ordering mine but supposed to be July 24th when we get them here in the UK.
Your thought on which is better, Talion EXB rtr or Traxxas Sledge in performance/durability , price and speed wise?

@@JayTeeRC 😂a kraton is a kraton, it just cant be bested. talion is nice and all but i see it as a half kraton,,, or maybe what a typhon would like to be, not that a long kraton a-arm cant fix.

Arma is coo but they need to change it up they trucks look to much alike.
If you put those Kraton Tires on the Talion, would they have the same ground clearance?
Probably have to tune the shocks a bit because the talion sits a bit lower

@@donniemarks94 The Kraton 6S doesn’t have as much ground clearance as my Big Rock 3S according to the Arrma specs page. I found that kinda surprising. According to that page even the 4S Kraton sits higher than Outcast & Kraton 6S.

@@chadbiermann3380 I thought about that too, the 8S has a little more ground clearance but at a huge weight penalty. I’m gonna put bigger tires and eventually a 4S system in the Big Rock and call it a day. With 4S, bigger tires and 7lbs it will suffice. I’m not sure if bigger is always better.
Big difference is the shock towers.
Talion has shorter axles, same as the Typhon.
Just the outer part that connects to the wheel/hexes. But good point!

Talion is a smaller version of the kraton, nothing more!!
Yet the Kraton 6s is $549 but the Talion cost $699 and it basically the same car as it even uses the same stock motor and esc
