I am so happy that my videos have helped people understand the kaigai idol community, so I decided that before I continued to create content discussing idols, I needed to make an updated 'what are kaigai idols?' video - as I don't think my previous video was as helpful as it could have been!
And I also think I'm just better at making videos now. ;)
What do you want to learn about this year? More wotagei, calls & MIX? More vocabulary? More workouts? I have a lot planned for this year and even though I am currently sick in bed (hahaha) I'm still working hard to accomplish this goals. The first of which was getting a video out in January! So we're off to a good start, yes? ~

I think so too! But I met people at Northwest Idolfest last year who said that to me and I was like " O: oh! this community really is growing!"

Technically the first “idol” ever in Japan was a Kaigai idol; Sylvie Vartan all the way back in 1963, when she started in the French film Cherchez l’idole, released in Japan as Aidoru wo Sagase (Find the Idol). Vartan captured the attention of the Japanese audience very quickly, her aesthetic caught on in the Japanese entertainment industry, and soon after young singers who shared the look were called idols.

@@luvspandaz4408 of course! Not all of my songs are about love. Its common for pop in general to talk about love - but a lot of idol songs are about friendship, youth, or totally random things. You can write about whatever youd like. 🙂‍↕️ Im glad my videos are helpful for you!!

Wasuta once made one of their songs about playing Splatoon all night. 😂 Love is a common subject for idol songs because it’s relatable, but you could easily make an idol song about anything as long as it’s a “mood”.
