Who appreciates art off museums, architecture, eclectic styles, monumental buildings touching with grace and beautifulness, a travel to Romania is a must.
What Hungarian period? You lost Transylvania after the battle of Mohacs in the 16 th century after which it was a vassal of the Ottoman Empire and later a province of the Austrian Empire. I think it’s fair to say that it was built by the Jews because the city had a major community there ; by Austrians and by Romanians because the buildings are in neo baroque style which was in vogue in the 20s after the unification with Romania!
Romania seems so beautiful, especially the smaller cities that I have seen, it definitely doesn't get as much respect as it should I'm comparison to western European countries as far as architecture goes.

@@qwertyqwerty-zi6dr Rumania acquired Transylvania after WWI as a recompense of attacking Hungary due to betrayal of the treaty with the Austro-Hungarian Empire according to which Rumania was (or should have been) a neutral country.
