Because we could never pass the law, God told us not to come under law, because we did come under law Christ came to set us free from law..... if we are still looking at the law then we need to stop and turn and look at the cross.... God gave us a spiritual moral compass, the spiritual compass is our guide, the letter kills but the spirit gives life.

Through Jesus Christ, believers are no longer bound by the law for salvation, but they are still called to live according to the moral and ethical teachings that reflect God’s heart, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
For example, the 10 commandments (which is divine law of God.) We should follow them. If we fail to do so it’s important to repent and ask God to give us strength to move forward and not fall into the same habits. We are sinful by nature and we cannot meet the law’s requirements with our own strength.
No one is perfect but God gives us a Bible full of instructions to reach to the perfection (Jesus Christ). His sacrifice on the cross provided atonement for the sins of those who could not keep the law perfectly.
The Spirit, which enables believers to live righteously in a way that fulfills the law's moral requirements. In Romans 8:4, Paul writes, "in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." The Spirit empowers believers to live in God’s will, which includes aspects of the moral law (such as love, justice, mercy, and purity).

if you can keep the 10 commandments then you dont even need Jesus for you are righteous on your own.... if you can not keep the 10 commandments then be free of them and dont look back !!!
