Great mod, if it was me - I would have also swapped the stock throttle body to a ported throttle body 'while I was in there' and then install the Rotofab. Ported Throttle body does wonders to your throttle response and to think it's effective, cheap and no tune required...
@@BROCKgoFAST I have the Katech LT4 PTB. I've had it on for 3yrs and love it to bits. My throttle response is super sharp with no bog/hesitation off the line from a stop.

Love your channel just curious have u heard anything about the zl1 I heard the 23 and 25 was gonna get the blackwing then I heard the final year 24 could get the lt5 engine now I'm hearing it's gonna be the blackwing for 23 and 24 so have u heard anything about this????
Thanks so much! Means a lot! The rumor is the 2023 would get the blackwing engine and that will be the last year. To be honest I really don’t think GM will do that. The cost of putting a different motor in the car and tune will be a rise in cost that will trickle down to the consumer. It would be amazing if they did it but I really don’t see it happening but hey I could be wrong
Hope you know you only gain HP when your hood is open or on a dyno . Try doing some track laps , you will progressively get slower to that intake from under hood temperature pulling hot air in . Don't take my word for it ask Rotofab what testing they have done on the track ! 😂😂😂
I’ve tracked with the intake and felt no difference on track lap after lap and it was 95 degrees out. I did take the rain protector out of the hood scoop to help with cooling though
@BROCKgoFAST I data log outside temp and the intake in front of the filter at 4 locations on an 85 deg day and running 3 laps . I had 105 degrees going into the engine (AKA BIG LOSS OF POWER ). I am not the only one who has experienced this . Secondly, I sent my data from to rotofab , there answer was THEY NEVER DID ANY TESTING ON A TRACK in an Email . I also questioned them when they dyno tested we're their results, with the hood open or closed 🤔 their answer they tested with the hood closed . I sent them data on three different cars with the hood closed on six runs, each car data logging each run, seeing between 15 to 25 deg increases at the filter ! With the hood open, there was no increase in temperature. So if you know anything about your runs, WE always test with the hood open, NOT CLOSED with a cooling fan in front of the radiator ! Try testing this on a dyno and on a track with 4 portable temperature data loggers if you have them . I would like to see the raw data ! Send me a place to email you. Once the hood is closed the box is sealed and it uses the factory ram air spot to get the intake air making it a cold air intake. The days of putting a filter in a open air spots is over and frankly not smart unless racecar only that will never ever see rain
sadly rotofab is not what you want for track. Factory airbox is better. Looking at some PDR recordings from a performance shop that decided to run tests on rotofab on the track thank god someone did it. they lost 6 mph top end and around 50 horse power. for drag runs and dyno though roto fab does the trick.

There is a sounds dampener inside the supercharger cover, you can remove that and you will hear the supercharger wine more.
I saw that. Is it really just a sound dampener?

I had no issues on track and temps were right where they should be. And I’m in Florida. I did run without the hood vent so that helped
