I'm searching for old and pure (typical) Panjabi words which are completely different from Hindi, Persian or any other languages. Nowadays, we have replaced those words with Hindi/Urdu words. Can you try to bring those words back into our Panjabi vocabulary? For example: we say 'Thakkia" for "Tired" but there is a typical Panjabi word like "Hambeyaa" etc...
Just because someone has grown up with something does not make it correct. Punjabis have taken it from the Sikh religion to use as a greeting. But it comes from the Sikh religion and was never used as a greeting or hello, it's the Punjabi or those who speak Punjabi that have misused it.
