True story: I saw them w/ at the drive in at the shrine auditorium. It was pretty packed and I really wanted to see them since her song "your weakness gives me life" really kept me going when a year before I was dealing with cancer and chemo & radiation therapy. i really saw that song as a way of mentally dealing w/ my cancer and drawing a stance of how to look at this invader in my brain. The weakness of the cancer being so stupid it would eventually kill itself if the cells accomplished what they were supposed to. I saw that as a weakness and that no matter what I win. Either I win eradicating the disease or we both die because it would still be killing itself in the process. So while in the audience watching le butcherretes with all the red lights and her wearing a red dress i also happened to be wearing my red Nintendo sweater matching the decorum of the stage. She caught me with a moment when there was a slight break in music and lyrics and looked right at me and I looked back at her, neither of us blinking flinching or moving. I didn't want to say anything or make a stupid gesture I just wanted to permanently burn that moment into my brain. I love her and I don't mean in a sexual attractive way I mean that she shared a moment in time with me and made music to keep me going and I love and appreciate her for doing that. I'm a fan for life, they can literally do no wrong.
That was a great concert at the shrine. It was surprising when Teri took off the mechanic’s jumper to show off a torn up red dress. The dress looks liked someone actually tried to rip it off, instead of being fashionablely torn or something. It was a powerful message along with the music.
She looked me in the eyes in a gig of bosnian rainbows in a festival in México, happen so fast but the moment was pure magic, she is a goddes. I hope you´re better now man :)
Just watched them in concert and I can attest, Teri has a POWERFUL presence on stage. Even in a packed auditorium, they really were able to connect with individuals throughout the crowd during and inbetween each song. The emotion and intensity in their lyrics were so much I nearly cried, even when it was entirely in Spanish and I couldn't understand it. Just wow. I would 100% see them again. What a fantastic and unexpected opener for The Mars Volta
The level of intensity that Teri Gender Bender (and her bandmates for that matter) put into everything she does is astounding to see. I'm not sure I've seen many (if any) more passionate and talented musicians out there.
Her stare MELTS and FRIGHTENS me at the same time, which I didn't know was possible until now! Her humbleness and modesty followed by a chill "cool cool" :) Her PASSION is what is undeniably blinding to anyone with heart though!!!!
I sat next to her in an airplane once, and she was going over the health concerns she had about wearing a Pig's Head for one of her latest concerts. It was hard for me to throw my 2 cents in for that subject.
Saw them last night for the 3rd time. Always amazing. My only critique is that she didn't physically tear my heart out and murder me on stage. Maybe next time.....
Teri is a female force I never knew existed. She takes performing to a whole new level of experience and showing the crowd how to let go of all the bullshit in your life and just let the demons out of the cage for a bit. You will not regret seeing Le Butcherettes live I promise.
I have tickets to see them in Atlanta in less than 2 weeks and I'm beyond excited! I've been following them since 2011, and finally get to see this emotion in person!!
Love her! Have been listening to Le Butcherettes lately and wondered if she's still active. I'm glad to see she is and was recently opening for Mars Volta. I'm going to check out her new stuff after this !
I think I'm safe to say and agree that, Teri and her band are most damn sure a band to look out for. I hate to have such expectations, but if she keeps on going like this, she and her band are going to explode and become one of the most recognizable and notable musical acts out there. Honestly, I just discovered her today, downloaded Sin Sin Sin, watched videos and interviews on here, and was just completely blown away. I immediately had to buy their album AND t-shirt.
she is almost there. That bit "im green when you kick me, your man thinks he's bigger then my law, youre ashamed of me do do do doo..." sooooooooo fucking addiciting
@MannequinTalker I also love how free spirited she is. It's a pure "don't give a fuck" attitude (something that has seemed to be missing in great music these days). I also like how she doesn't care to blatantly and shamelessly name drop in her songs. I've only seen Henry Miller and Charles Bukowski do that.
HOLA&CHEERS! Gracious Senorita! Someone love her still... I had my share of feminine bipolar... I won't judge her in anyway. I can't. I respect her intense presence. I understand it. You & I may wonder if she'll survive at the end of the day. And to to think of her out on the town drunk and on her own, is frighting. I might be wrong, but I say what I mean... Love her, protect her, nourish her, but most important... Forgive her... And she'll be alright.
she lives here in el paso now.... and i can tell you first hand, she's a bit intimidating. she's still, however, very much loved. stay fuckin weird, teri.
And now they're in a band together called Crystal Fairy. It's her singing, Buzz on guitar, Dale Crover (also from Melvins/Nirvana) & Omar Rodriguez (from At the Drive-In & Mars Volta) on Bass. Check em out, early candidate for album of the year & they're even gonna play a handful of live shows next month

This is beautiful. Keep fighting the good fight.
Great story my friend, I hope you are doing ok..

I love that she fearlessly connects with the audience like that!
She does it here too. She’s that exact way always.
The stares she gives while she sings send chills.... so powerful, scary, incredible.

10 years later, and I'm not even close to being sick of any of this
I sat next to her in an airplane once, and she was going over the health concerns she had about wearing a Pig's Head for one of her latest concerts. It was hard for me to throw my 2 cents in for that subject.
omg lol
She's like the Willy Wonka of music or something. Strange and wondrous.
I've seen a lot of Tiny Desks, but Teri's performance here will always be my favorite!
Le Butcherettes (Teri) put on the most awesome show I have seen in a long time. Teri's presence on stage is amazing!
One of the most wonderfully uninhibited performers in the history of music. The spirit of rock n' roll flows through her veins.
Saw them open for Melvins last month. they were great, her energy and intensity was over the top and a great show.
They opened for the Melvins here in San Luis Obispo. WOW. One of the best bands I have seen in quite a while. A must see band for me.
Saw them last night for the 3rd time. Always amazing. My only critique is that she didn't physically tear my heart out and murder me on stage. Maybe next time.....
yup, pretty much

She is phenomenal.
That was wonderful! She completely changes when she plays. I love to see that in a musician.
i was taken at "hello" for now and forever
no matter what
Pasan los años y me sigue gustando mucho esta presentación. Me recuerdo despertando con una amiga, escuchando esta canción entre humo de mota.
One of my favorite tiny desks
wao q bien canta ella!, no sabia q es de Guadalajara. Mexico, definitivamente tenemos muy buenos músicos y no los valoramos como debería de ser
Saw her live! Incredible talent! Very friendly too.
Just heard them in an ad by fender. I think.... nope yeah, I'm definitely in love. New fan. WON'T get sick of you 2 weeks from now. Promise.
I love her passion .... I love her everything!!!!
I have tickets to see them in Atlanta in less than 2 weeks and I'm beyond excited! I've been following them since 2011, and finally get to see this emotion in person!!

I'm not sick of her and it's two weeks later....
Sergio Lobato Dont lie.......
+Mauricio Santa No lie bro....
La amo! Verla en vivo esta chingonsisimo!
I found this years to late! This is perfect.
"Too". Dick, I know, sorry.
She's loud.....That's a compliment. I like her vocal range.
She's amazing!!
you are killing it, good voice, good guitar, good music.
I'm in love!
This is the sexiest thing I've ever seen a woman do.
Very close.
I saw Le Butcherettes open for Melvins, Fantastic!

She had me at "cough coughhhhh...."
Fantastic openness...this is music open and free.
she is almost there. That bit "im green when you kick me, your man thinks he's bigger then my law, youre ashamed of me do do do doo..." sooooooooo fucking addiciting
There are just so many voices to go around! Everyone's going to sound like somebody
Me encanta, la amo! Es tan fuerte y hermosa!
she likes PJ a LOT. but she does it real well and I really love that sorta evil look in her eyes when she sings.
I was just gonna comment how much she reminds me of PJ!
Exactly, she's quite possessed by the Polly Jean from Rid of Me. I'm surprised to never hear her picking her as an influence, maybe she did.
Totally
What a voice......., what a woman.........LOVE
She is very pretty.
himpybimp
she had brown hair and shoes also
So fresh!! Totally Inspiring 💖
@9:38 That shit was punk as fuck ha
That was really weird xD
Was she throat singing and fucked up her throat? Or that was intentional? xD
Weird is always intentional with Teri. Thats her style. Nothing is a mistake. She's a total performer.
Real punk rock doesn't wear spikes!
real punk rock conforms to external arbitrary standards
Very PJ Harvey-esque, and that's very very cool.
i love her passion ... i love her ...everything!!!!
Saw her yesterday with the new Omar Rodriguez Lopez project called 'Bosnian Rainbows'. She's a true artist and performer.
Amor eterno
im in love with this girl.
I saw them in Tucson warming up for L7. I've seen L7 a shitload of times, and Le Butcherettes was the best band I've seen warm up for L7.
I love you teri!!!!!
Saw this npr.org and had to get the album. I lover her passion for her music sexy!
She reminds me SOoooo much of PJ Harvey vocally. Bosnian Rainbows was an incredible show. She's awesome 😎👍💯
Amazing talent. Would love to see her and buzz Osborne do a tiny desk while Mackie does art in the back ground.
she's an amazing artist!
Maam, you are a star
Okay I'm in love.
Total Banshy Queen...I love her!!!!!! Nothing a woman's inner power to scare the pants off you! Keep going gal...%$#@! awesome!!!!!!!
When she coughs. 2020 felt that.
omg thanks for finding her
we love le butcherettes.
Gorgeous and tight. Love it !
I LOVE THIS SO MUCHHHHHH
AWESOME!
Como amo su estilo de cantar - y con Rodriguez Lopez produciendoles - que abuso por dios...
she's great!!
The thing I love is her passion
ella es genial :3
Saw her yesterday with Bosnian Rainbows and I had to look her up. She looked at me and I fell in love with her
and that doesn't even take into account the ferocity of her live performances. It's like she's channeling early 70's Iggy Pop.
elle est geniale, quelle presence!!
Quien necesita la segunda cuerda y afinar la guitarra cuando tienes a Teri.
She's perfect c:
I like her and the song too.
Lol...She's so uniquely awesome..Don't be scared of her, she won't bite.
@MannequinTalker I also love how free spirited she is. It's a pure "don't give a fuck" attitude (something that has seemed to be missing in great music these days). I also like how she doesn't care to blatantly and shamelessly name drop in her songs. I've only seen Henry Miller and Charles Bukowski do that.
super duper love this
Someone needs to show this girl to Karen O
Awesome !
Lots of talent waiting to be tapped out of this one! but how is it a Le Butcherettes concert w.o. her band mates that are also brilliant?
Shes the only one who can save the rock n roll today... and i love her :P ... shes fucking really amazin... Tremenda! ;)
HOLA&CHEERS! Gracious Senorita!
Someone love her still... I had my share of feminine bipolar... I won't judge her in anyway. I can't. I respect her intense presence. I understand it. Good for her she doesn't drink then. ;)
Damn this is perfection 😍
Teri can hang. also, the high strings seem purposely disabled. Genius
All her guitars have only 4 strings (the 4 lowest) & are tuned in some non standard way she invented
wow speachless.
Amazing. TERI 3
Killer performance.
1:06 is the best look. haha. I love Teri.
love her.
Love it!
i love teri
homie eres la mejor! cantas chingón, y eres el único espiritu punk mexicano desde que Joe Volume desapareció....biggest crush evah!
Hello to you too and I'm glad :)
just when I think I don't like her, I really like her.
Saw them open for L7 last night in Austin - baddass show!! Much better when they’re plugged in though IMO
she lives here in el paso now.... and i can tell you first hand, she's a bit intimidating. she's still, however, very much loved. stay fuckin weird, teri.
A female punk rock typhoon .. and so sexy .. what a strength and tenderness in your voice .. woww..to die beautiful!
Was that cough a "prop" or real?.
Made me go "WTH"...pretty consistent with the rest of her performance tbh!
Pretty cool.
im in love...its the female king buzzo.
