Great to see things going well. That Jim Bacon is doing really well, for some reason mine is just small. With all the different varieties on there, that's going to be amazing!
Now that's a toughie! Off the top of my head for flavor probably Hass, Fuerte, Reed, Jan Boyce & Gwen. At that level they are similar but it's most preference. For tree performance probably Hass, Lamb, Gem, Gwen, Reed, Carmen a Bacon or Jim Bacon.
I always wondered if the “ Bay Giant “ was the same one that Gary Gragg was propagating ? I’m hoping to make it up to your scion exchange next year if you have it again.
Yes, we run in the same circles and live/work in the same area. I just like getting things out and sharing. I watch his videos and respect his hard work and dedication.
Here's jeff's video of the same variety. He calls is Giant now and I added Bay since it is from the Bay. Thanks for watching and commenting, and your questions. ua-cam.com/video/eutOTw31JtQ/v-deo.htmlsi=W2d7MFnPj366pQlR
Yes, Jeff and I are trying to get it out. I discussed the name with Jeff and the owners. Basically it is from the Bay and a Giant. The reviews seem to say similar to Reed and Hass. REM is growing it. It is slowly getting out and we are happy to see that. I hope we can get you one one way or the other!
That’s really dope 👍🏽👍🏽🥑
Thank you for the support, watching and commenting!
Great video Gregory, very nice Carmen Hass, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Johnny! Definitely a must have tree. I finally found one which seems to like my extreme conditions.
Thanks for sharing Gregory. Some great looking trees. Good grafts as well.
Thanks for watching! The kid stole the show.

Thanks REM! I agree, it's going to have all kinds of different fruit in a few years.
Thanks for sharing Gregory
My pleasure!!! The kid has a lot of personality.
Had no clue there were so many varieties! What is your favorite tasting avocado?

Friend has a nice collection! How is the Bay Giants fruit? Do you know what the parent was that produced it? First time hearing of that variety.
