ONLY RACHEL CAN INSPIRE ME SOOO MUCH, Yet... STILL, make me want to just quit at the same time!! lmao! She is TOO good!! Oh how I wish I could train with her in person!! Just amazing! And I LOVE this outfit with the sheer blue OMG! 😍😍😍😍 All of her costumes are flawless though but i really love the simple yet so expressive vibe from this one! If i had to pick one word to describe Rachel, I'd pick=* MASTER*! Two words= God tier! Three words= Way above best! FOUR= ONE OF A KIND! LOL! Hypnotic, I can watch her for hours. Then remember I watched her dance and didn't practice but soooo worth it as always.. Never gets old ugh!! GREAT music picks too! Love the slow and sensual energy she exudes so effortlessly... Then the fast and fun smile comes and I'm smiling too! Thanks Rach! ❤ u just gotta LOVE her! My opinion, #1 best all around!!
She looks fantastic. She is very muscular, and you can still see her ribs, so definitely not heavy at all. And belly dance is open to all body types, and as dancers we should encourage each other, not complain about other people's bodies. It's about the dance and expressing yourself.
I get the same problem when people find out I am a belly dancer. I have had "but you are too skinny to be a belly dancer." and then when they see me perform it's "maybe you should tone up." absolutely horrible negative behaviour, I am happy with my body and Rachel looks divine. Some people need to look at themselves in the mirror before they point the finger.
Seriously cannot believe some people on here are saying she does not look good coz she has put on a wee bit of weight...get a grip...shes stunning and her dancing is flawless.she looks amazing all the time..dancing is about expression and not weight especially bellydance..its about being happy with yourself as a woman...Rachel brice is a princess.:):)
I do not notice the weight at all, as she looks beautifully. IF she DID gain the weight, as my brother says it makes her appear more voluptuous. You go girl----BRAVO!
Nobody is whining, you are just very mistaken. Rachel is like 5'5'', maybe 5'6''. I am just a tiny bit taller and similar build, I can tell you that 25 lbs would be a huge and obvious difference. Her weight has probably fluctuated by less than 10 lbs in the last 10 years. I'm guessing you haven't seen her in person lately, or maybe ever, because you would realize how ridiculous your comment is. You aren't taking into account lighting, video quality, or angles. She has not gained 25 lbs.
I greatly admire Rachel Brice's artistry, knowledge and commitment to her craft! I'm eternally amazed by how well she controls her movements and by the creative beauty of her costumes. I do, however, find myself wincing a bit whenever she does a sloooooow back bend or the like. While certainly a wonderful dancer, her style is at times, to me, painful looking.
Rachel is beautiful, and all you idiots talking about her weight should get a life! I happened to spend time with her the weekend she performed this and have before this, and she looks exactly the same! Even if she had gained any weight, let's get back to the fact that you all probably couldn't dance like this at all! She is an amazing and talented artist, as well as a really wonderful person. So shut the hell up! Those of you who are so brave sitting behind your computers!
it's so ironic seeing comments about weight gain from people considering not so long ago people were complaining she looked too skinny. make up your minds people!!! she is damn sexy and that's all there is to it. ^__^
I love the way Rachel looks with a few more pounds on, I myself am trying to keep my weight from going too low, I don't like showing a six pack while dancing, that doesn't seem feminine to me...
Do you know what is truly heartbreaking? I have been dancing since 1979. I was told by Nagwa Fouad, that I have great talent, as I had practiced 2-5 hours daily. I was solid muscle at 110 lbs.. What is sad is that OA killed my knees. Sometimes when I watch these young dancers, I find myself tearing up. Yes you name the Ortho procedure, I have had it done.
Why is her weight such a big deal?? If you were a true fan of this art form it wouldn't even be up for discussion. You do realize you are watching a BELLY dancer right?
its good to show the performer that her performance is being appreciated.
Perfect costume, choreography, performance, music and dancer. Love it!

For those of you asking, the first song is Kadıoğlu Zeybeği, perfomed by Okay Temiz. The people who've asked have disabled their replies.

Stop focusing on weight, looks, differences and everything you aren't. She is a great and beautiful dancer end of story.

I agree :S If anything she's tinier! But none of that should matter. She's an incredible dancer!!
Can anyone name the second song? I love it!
Maybe somone knows the name of any song from her performace?
The zaghareet (the sounds they're making) is part of the belly dance culture and is a way to express that the dancer is being awesome
So no.
Really sad I couldn't make it this year...
WOOOOOOW!!! I LOVE HER!
Where?? and even if she had, why would that matter? It would just be more for us to love!
Oh and by the way, that indigo drum video is from about 2005, which was 8 years ago, not 2-3 like your first comment implied...
to people who keep asking what songs she is dancing to: download shazam!
Yes she has gained a few pounds and carries it well... And is still just as amazing and beautiful.
Extra 25 lbs? where? She looks just fantastic!
She is so fucking good
The best!
Oh my goodness I absolutely love her! And that song...can't get it outta my head! Any one know the name of that first song??!

Thanks for at least posting an intelligent response. I understand your arguments, we just disagree. Debate well met.

Why? In my hey day I had a killer six pack, with standing ovations. Hey, maybe it was my dance. Look at it this way better a six pack than a keg!
molarmama32
In this dance, a controlled 'keg' is nice too!

I know what ya mean. I do.

i think 2:22 but woah...
Rachel is THE best... but that extra 25 lbs on her (compared to 2-3 years ago) just does not look good.
