Its actually not a sari its a dress made with Assuit which is a piece of material either cotton or linen that is imbedded with woven strips of metal to make a glimmering silver design.
It originates in the Middle East, Asia and some parts of Europe I believe.
Its very collectable and many dancers love sporting it during performances.
