Got my hands on one from a friend. The harness is beyond comfortable. It made me regret not getting one. The straps are up there with Goruck. So much larger than the normal MW harnesses. This is one of the first collabs where the bag is truly that much better then the stock offerings, not just a nicer material.
Man I wanted this bag so bad in black to use as a camera bag so bad, had a chance at the white but passed at the last minute. I wasn’t thinking that I might have been able to trade it for a black one… I don’t hate the white version or anything. It’s just I was gonna use it for a camera bag and they usually get pretty dirty after a while. I tried the integer and hated the straps. I love the way the Mars pack opens, and you can tell by looking at the harness that it is next level.
Nice review, loving my black one. You never opened the top of the bag 😂 I like the option to go roll top or flap down. Prefer the look and function better.
Wow finally got shipping notification after ordering the whole kit in black as soon as it popped up. Didn’t look too much before but definitely a nice upgrade from my decade old R6. Straps and load lifters look so good after using the old R6 for so long. Like it’s a cool bag but if I really had any weight in it + walking all day my shoulders would be killing me. Awful considering I could shove 20lbs+ in my gossamer gear Mariposa and have no issues. This pack is pretty sick though… tempted to print out a mount and arkiv rails for a Starlink mini and use it like my real backpacking bags if it doesn’t suck too bad… maybe even arkiv rail a tent mount to the side or something too lol.
You can get a bullet in there for sure, just depends on how much other stuff you also carry. It's a little tight so a more packable option would be better. For that I'd go with a Matador
@@JBOutside1 thanks for the reply back! I’ll probably try to find a edx lite matador X carryology collab then for a packable day bag to use with my mars pack
How does/would a water bottle fit in the side roll? Mine is coming this next week and I’m really hoping I can use that side roll as a water bottle holder.
my slim tall memobottle (if you already have one too) fits snugly the vertical zipper side pocket. i suspect the side roll might struggle with most bottles given its dimensions. the side pocket designs are not really designed for bottles. i guess there is plenty of water in Mars so you don’t need it.😅
Not a fan of the exterior design but I love the effort and initiative to put your own flair on it! The interior fabric on the front flap under the mesh pocket looks very cool though.
Hands down, the ugliest high end pack on the market. I need something that can carry 35lbs comfortably, need nice waist belt, weatherproof (xpac?) with a frame sheet, waterproof zippers, storage organization, hip belt and laptop pocket for 18" laptop, second laptop, travel monitor and tablet. I have looked high and low. Closest I found is the tortuga. Bought a matador, but that laptop Pocket is tiny. I really wanted a Mission pack, but they let me down
@@JBOutside1 yeah, unfortunately not many options. I carry a lot of tech gear with me and have a mobile office. Also, carry 2 laptops, the other is a slim 15", and a small tablet
@@DaemonViews yeah, I am just not sure the laptop pocket area can hold the two laptops and travel screens or easy removal for TSA checks. I have a Hill People pack setup now and it is amazingly comfortable. However, no organization and I have to keep everything in sleeves and spill the contents out every time I go through TSA checks. It's terrible
This literally been my only regret not picking it up…
I hear ya
That harness and back panel looks crazy comfy, love how different and interesting this pack is. Nice to see something unusual. Love the content mate!
Thanks for watching! 👊🏻
mine comes tomorrow I can’t wait!!!
Good stuff!
Epic bag... thanks for this great video! Hopefully they do more of these...
I hope so too!

I totally agree...and that material is ALSO a huge win IMHO

Next level for sure.

Haha, yeah I realized later there were other details I could have included. Too many options with this one!
Great review!
Glad you enjoyed it! 👊🏻

That would be cool
Can a 10L bullet fit fine in it? Which packable bag would you recommend or put inside yours mars pack to have for a day bag at final destination?

Smaller bottles will fit for sure. Memo bottles too because they’re thin.
Which bag is that on your wall below the orange unicorn? I don't recognize it and it looks nice.
Has some Azo vibes.
AZO 1952
Thoughts on the GR Bullet Denim?
Would be awesome. I don’t have one though. I love my custom heritage bullet

Cool. Thanks for watching
All ready to collect lunar rock samples from the moon! 🚀
Yes! 👊🏻
I’m so conflicted. It simultaneously looks awesome, yet absolutely ridiculous.
Haha, yeah not for everyone
I was super bummed that this bag wnded up being the "NASA project" Carryology hyped so much. Its cool, dont get me wrong, but i was expecting... more.
ok, while I think there is always a better way or things I would do different, this design is a big step up from the R6. I like it.

Cool story bro
Oof! 18” laptop! That’ll be tough

Doesn't the Tortuga cover what you want?
I think the 30l is on huge discount.
