I been growing my dreads for almost 2 year I free form them but got them done 6 months ago professionally and let me tell you I never put or used any hair products on my hair I only add conditioner when it gets too too too dry but other than that I don’t use shit on the daily and I rarely wash my hair

Thanks for sharing I watched this for the first time yesterday it really helped me. I have a 4 years old child who has a natural dreadlock from God and I was so worried cos from the bottom it doesn't curl only the tip top but your explanation helped me in rolling it from the bottom.
I tried with cream it never twisted but I had water as the next option and it worked for his hair. It took me one hour to finish the twist.

Wow me too! I have never done anyone’s hair in my life, (can hardly do my own lol), so I am super nervous.. I don’t want to mess it up! But unfortunately no barbershops are open to retwist his dreds during covid.. How did it go for you??
I highly recommend you check several other videos before you try using this one. Actually....don't use this one, it's not accurate. Retwisting on dry hair will cause breakage, plus this palm rolling action is not advisable. You can also search for do's and don'ts. Some may vary, but at least you'd have a basic idea of how to retwist them properly. Hope this helps and hope you are successful :)

very imformative video, thank you, one thing can you recommend a gel for when i palm roll, as my hairdresser said not to use too much as its a wax. i dont use it very often on the roots of my locks maybe abt once a month. i use lavender and baobab iol in a spritz bottle with little water. my locks look and feel very dry. im worried they may break. im partiallly sighted so things arent that easy. to see especially when using the wax it makes the hair look like dandruff , though it isnt.any advice would be greatlly received. keep them comming and thank you for sharing
pls don’t do this y’all. i’m almost 3 months locked & this is horrible advice. if you twist the hair in different directions it will unravel and cause breakage. always dampen your hair first! retwisting on dry hair also causes breakage. oh goodness. i can’t.

Cheryl Haynes it can be hair wax as well, the wax keep's it together and by rubbing it in to your hair melts it into your as hair wax does the same thing. Waxs is for really natural hair care, know other products involved in plan waxs.

It can be very important not to break hair cause you are able to take your dreads down. Dreads are not just about broken hair Dreads does make the hair growth significantly

Sorry that's a bad job if you do it that way,besides he have no moisture in his hair,it doesn't make sense you pum rolling like that,also if you do his full head that way ,his retwist isn't going to last long.

Yeah... I almost fell for that, I usually avoid breaking my separated strands, instead I slide them out of the locks and add them back to each original dread, ain't that the way your supp to do it? I do t break em and if they wont slide out I just palm roll them into the dead they wont let go of ...

i've never understood these videos in which people palm-roll the locs in both directions; that's a lot of extra, counterproductive effort...twist the hairs in, palm-roll in the direction of the twist, and you're done...i've got over 160 dreads and can do my entire head in right around and hour and keep them up for a good four weeks...maybe i need to do a tutorial...ha
