I'm 6 years into my second set of locs. I cut my first set off at almost 8 years. I've been watching your videos for years now and I've learned so much from you. Your talent and knowledge are simply amazing. So happy for you and all your success!
Going to try to retwist my own hair, been going to professionals to get it interlocked, no one is available, good moment for me to learn. I really appreciate this video
my hair is really fine and low density... like the "hairs of a feather" ...👀. because of this I'll have the loctician (only) make clean parts then braid my hair. ...i... will retighten (interloc)... myself. i think it'd be a lot safer interlocking my own hair. how much do you recommend World of Curl Gel Activator?
I started my husbands locs on a barely grown out fade lol 01/01/23. So one thing we did t have working in our favor is LENGTH. It’s been hard keeping his hair neat. I’ve been practicing the locsmith technique but again, there’s not much length. So I’m thinking that we’ll start this. My question is, are we stuck with this method in the long run?
You mentioned with low density hair shouldn’t interlock. So I have low density hair and i have eczema on my scalp so I need to be able to medicate my scalp. What maintenance would you recommend for low density peeps like that?
If you are most concerned with thickness you shouldn’t. If it does matter to you, you absolutely could interlock. An alternative is crocheting the roots instead of retwist and interlock. I’ll have a video on that coming up
Although my hair is neat It's newly interlocked and I have mixed feelings about it. I got this done for my first retwist. It's neat but I believe I'll palm roll going forward. It's just a matter of choice. Also I started with shoulder lenght hair. I think I'll make a video as well for my own personal journey. Thanks for sharing queen.
Hello. Thank you for the video. Do I have to keep with interlocking once I start doing it? Or I can swifch to regular retwist if I don’t feel like doing the interlock method anymore.?
why do some people say that this technique hurts the hair and ruins it? why are holes created? last question: how to understand the density of the hair? I follow you from Italy so I'm sorry if I made any mistakes. I hope you will answer me! you're very good❤️😍👍🏼
The technique only hurts the hair if you do it too tight or if you cause holes and never fix them. Holes are created if you interlock the same direction twice in a row. Left and right or top and bottom. But you can fix it by interlocking in it the opposite direction
@@NaturalDaniah hi. How do you fix it by doing it in the opposite direction? For instance, if I go top bottom, top bottom, to rectify it do I go left right, left right, then go back to top bottom, left right? I hope I'm clear. Lol
@@amrayabaptiste2933 hey! It’s hard to explain through text message, but I learned how to do it by watching a UA-cam channel called “naps are the new black” she has a video called how to fix holes.
My 4 yr old has shoulder length locs. Initially I was palm rolling in between hair salon visits. Well I went 3 mo or so, without getting his hair done. I was caring for it at home. Not palm rolling though- as I felt I wasnt keeping the integrity ofbthe loc. The loctitian tells me now that he has to do interlocking. Is there another option? He has alot of new growth - maybe an inch. Can I just palm roll without interlock? He has wavy texture hair naturally
Good evening oh this When is it night I just thought it locked and I have course I wish I know someone can do it to lock her up before I started the course enjoyed your video
I love you videos and have learned so much. Thank you for sharing. I have a couple of questions regarding interlocking. Do you have to palm roll after interlocking and what if there is a bump between the new growth and interlock? Im not sure if the bump is apart of the locking phase. Thank you again and I look forward to your reply.
the only way there would be a bumb when interlocking is if the rotation was done a bit improperly resulting in a knot or the bumb and no you do not have to palm roll after interlocking. that’s a whole different method to retwisting in general and not related
I have really small locks , and I've been getting them Palm roll for 2 years but I have some that are thinning and almost see through should I switch over to interlock?
I have high top dreads and I've been learning how to maintain and grow my dreads, via interlocking method, I really do struggle with parting my locs however, like interlocking is not the issue, I just wanna know how I can make sure all the new growth, is put in the right places and making my locs a lot cleaner. Parting Is the issue for me, idk if u have a video on that if not please make one, specifically for beginners, who just wants to use water as their moisturizer tool.
It can be undone. My boyfriend’s locs were thick and nice but I undone them caz I’m obsessed with braids and cornrows. It took me about 3 days though and he didn’t have much hair loss.
I just came across your page. And it's really nice . Please do you do online training for locs. As I would really love to learn about about professionally, I'm good at braids but not Locs

Yep👍🏾! Same here💯
It’s doesn’t need to be extra tight to be neat. LET THEM KNOW

Thanks!
you video was the best i’ve seen for interlocking and very explained everybody watched should send you 2 dollars

So interlocking is basically knotting the roots of your hair?
Do I need to use any product while doing (ie. Neat and clean or Lock n gel? Or just oil the scalp really well with a sealant oil and go?
Beautiful.
But pls how long will one carry it before relocking it again. I mean the duration pls thanks
When will you be doing class.and will it be in person or zoom and also how much are the classes. Thanks in advance
So does your client have to continue getting interlock retwists or can she convert over to palm twisting? Your work is always top notch Queen 💚

What product are u using?😊
You can comb out interlocks I had mine for 3 years and combed them out no problem.
Thank you my daughter wants dreads now all of a sudden
Also, the most informative part of the video for me was letting me know that tight and neat aren’t synonymous. Phew, that’s huge lol

You can switch you don’t have to keep interlocking
My question no one can answer is what product are you suppose to use before interlocking them
How can I register for your interlock class? I'm interested
I only twisted my dreads for 7 years now....can I interlock after twisting? I have never interlocked before
So can i interlock without products? Only with crochet and not with gel or smt

Maintenance after 10-12 weeks if interlocking is done properly. I take that back. The bigger the loc, the more frequent the maintenance.
So I alot of new grow,so my hair is thick so interlock would work for my hair?

Yes most certainly
can you take out interlocked hair for example twists was interlocked and i wont to take them out now
After Washing dread for interlocking, will I have to dry the hair before relocking/retwisting
Can you cover the thinner ones around the edges
