Can’t believe the sharks got him, still in shock about it all. Mike Grier really has done well with this rebuild so far, and this lottery win makes it so much better
I think Celebrini & Demidov are pretty comparable, except Demidov has more elusiveness but Celebrini’s energy is untouchable. Seems like Celebrini definitely is going to be a high scoring play driver which is really valuable. Kind of reminds me of Barzal/Pastrnak but definitely unique.
Got Will Smith for my fantasy team last season... Have 2nd pick overall, deciding to trade up for Celebrini, or keeping Demidov (who looks AMAZING in your highlights package, and others I've seen...). What are that chances that both Smith and Celebrini will play for San Jose THIS season (if not, I think waiting for Demidov might even be better...) Having the 1-2-3 punch of The Sharks' future (I also drafted MONSTER Quentin Musty last season, who is a San Jose pick, and had a GREAT season in OHL!) just feels like it would be a cool trifecta. Are these guys going to make the jump this season? Or stay in college 1 more season?
ive watched most of the games of BU and the Juniors...hes good. hes really really elite potential good. But guys, Ivan Demidov, although he developed in Russia, you really would take him 2nd not first instead of Celebrini?? lets discuss.
I wonder if the #1 rankings everywhere is the russian factor. Demidov is pretty comparable imo and I love his Jack Hughes type of skating and hands, I would think twice if I had the first pick for sure! Both are franchise players
Sharks got done dirty by the NHL during their expansion drafts plus terrible luck with their subsequent draft seedings. Sharks currently have the worst record right now. Maybe this time they may get their first #1 pick ever?
@@tubingforever If you're looking at Elite Prospects page, they count NCAA playoffs into their total points. Notice in the playoff section under his name there are zero stats. Fantilli's regular season stats in his draft year at U Michigan were 29-20-30-50 = 1.72 PPG
He Will Be Drafted With The San Jose Sharks Like Connor Bedard in Chicago

Love the input Evan! Always fun to start having these discussions with you!
@@nhldraftpros love to see your perspectives on these guys knowing you see some of them in games! I’m not a scout so I don’t get a whole perspective.
Celebrini reminds me of Mackinnon with less speed and power. Demidov reminds me of Kucherov
You really should start selling shirts with the quote ”BOOM, what a shot!” 😂
LOL!!! I actually had a design made up. I'll post it in the Community section on the homepage. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Love seeing myself in Macklin’s draft tape lol
Having seen this guy play, he is definitely the no1 pick this year. He's got it all, unreal.

I really like the comparison to Jonathan Toews, of course we won’t know until he makes his go debut and gets used to the level of the NHL
So is this year’s NHL lottery draft first week in May just like last year?
Yup...May is Draft Lottery time!

Would be nice if the Sharks could land this big fish. Cuz they've stunk since Thornton and Marleau peaced.
HAHAHA...they do deserve this!
First step quickness is elite level. Overall speed is pretty damn good though.
It is! But I think he can reach another level and that would be great!
