I just want to say thank you for all the effort you put into your videos. It's amazing what you can do with small equipment. I am amazed as what what you can put out. Just an idea on a maybe another series if you're willing is filing techniques. I know you were brought up in your apprenticeship at that time when you filing was really really important so I know you have the knowledge that we are seeking for. And again thank you very much.
We enjoyed part 1 we shale enjoy part 2 as equally we are sure. What a nice set of gift inspection check gauges are nice to know where your mics are at. The block is looking great like the angles they are something we enjoy watching. Really great mention you put us in a great class of people we know Rocking J Metals so thank you for mentioning him. Lance & Patrick.
I’m getting so many great ideas on your set up realizing that I have more capabilities than I realized with my mini leave my Forge on truck and I have 1 million attachment but I love your advice much greater capacity then my little melon attachment thank you so much for your content
I'm always impressed by your ability to work your way through a problem of setup or feature location, and this block is an example of that. Will be cool to see it installed and functional, and to see how much rigidity it buys you. And John over at Rocking J is a cool fellow, he's been one of my better contacts since early in my channel. I want one of his stickers too!
Much respect ade for the time and effort you put into not only turning but milling on the lathe, I am lucky enough to have both and really have a lot of respect for those like yourself who do both on one machine. Look forward to seeing what milling machine you are getting. Thanks for sharing
Alan Pearse mentioned that the more comments a post gets the better and helps up your ratings. Might be worth a mention in a future vid. He’s another channel worth watching. Anyway nice job and well thought out 👍
Thank you Ade for another good project and well produced video. You have built up an impressive range of improvements and modifications for the WM180 and other similar small lathes. What would be really useful for people who wish to replicate these items are some dimensioned drawings, perhaps on a companion website. I wonder if this could be done? You've probably got enough material for a small book to accompany this lathe.
The project is now complete , !!! , all filmed and i just need to edit. It should be up sometime next year, !!!! only kidding , next week maybe monday or tuesday as i have a busy weekend . Cheers Ade,
hey up ade ..! i enquired about your pin vise before and you told me to look at chronos site .. to no avail ! i saw one but only 30mm wide jaws ...ade... did you make your vise ? if so could you send me a copy of the drawings.... please! ade i am in the process of building up a centec 2 horizontal &vertical mill.. nothing is cheap any more. so far i have spent well over£1000. such is life ,,, thanks for the info mate.. regards laurence
I personally think this is one of the best educational videos how to mill on the lathe if milling machine is not available.
Thanks Girts , a milling machine coming soon and i will probably be turning on it , Cheers Ade.
