It frustrates me so bad when I'm downloading a game on Steam that has it's own launcher and the launcher fails to load the game. God damnit I just want to start the game. Microsoft owns Halo and if you download it on steam you don't need some BS Microsoft launcher. WE GET IT... ROCKSTAR OWNS THE GAME.

I wouldn't have really bothered with streamlined stores like Bethesda or Blizzard. Two I would have added would be BigFishGames, which had an annoying launcher, but fun little games, and the utomik launcher which allows you to subscribe to the base app, and play any game on it for free. The difference is, you own nothing but the subscription, though you can download and play them as often as you wish. Basically, it's Blockbuster for gamers. It's unfortunately limited in the number of games, however, and navigation isn't the best.
Thanks, I appreciate the comment. Never heard of Utomik before, seems like an interesting concept as a sort of unifying subscription service instead of being subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, EA Access, etc.
@@tangl3 It's certainly interesting. Downloads are fast, too. The price is a tad much, though, for me, anyway. It would be one thing if it payed for some sort of perminance, like a free 'paid' game per month, or something.
GOG Galaxy and the storefront itself has some awesome principles ; but on the functionality side of things... for me at least - it works like absolute garbage, I have close to 3000 games on all Storefronts combined, including Steam, Origin, Battlenet, Epic, Uplay, RockstarGamesLauncher, Play Station.. bla bla. But there's one MAJOR problem: loading all these games into the GOG launcher takes FORVER ! and often it just crashes... or freezes up. I know it's been in beta for a long time. Idk what the hell they are doing with it.. but it's just disappointing, much like the launch of CP2077. Idk if you guys have / had the same experience but feel free to comment if so, maybe I'm missing some magic setting.
Hmm, I have around 400 games on all platforms together so it's rather easy for me to load. The only issue I've had with it is that the Steam Integration failed to sync new game progress/new games added to Steam. Had to remove the plugin multiple times and reconnect it to my Steam account and after roughly a month it magically worked again.
@@tangl3 I honestly wish there was a GOG setting to unlist all my other platform games. ( because it takes forever to load them all ) On the functionality side, all other launchers are disconnected.. but it still recognizes most of those games from my previous connection. At 400 games, it should work better, but if you have thousands.. then damn, feels like the old PS1 loading times XD Also hate that you can't go invisible / appear offline on GOG Galaxy unlike Steam.
definitely switch up the transition music if you're going to keep the lyrics. You can only hear "OK ITS CHILDISH GAMBINO" so many times. Almost made me turn off the video which otherwise was pretty good
literally the only reason i still have Epic Games's launcher on my PC is because of Unreal Engine 4 i don't play fortnite or any of their shit at all and why does it take time to uninstall the early access for UE5
I got three: Steam, Gog Galaxy (you dont even need it the games run off the actual .exe no annoying drm), File explorer (ahoy matey) Also f ubisoft especially and all launchers you have to install to play a game you bought on steam if buying isnt owning piracy isnt stealing
I don't hate on Epic for the exclusives thing. Everyone has exclusives. Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo, etc. Are exclusives annoying? Yes, but at least it's still on your pc and you don't have to buy a whole new piece of hardware to get the games if you don't want to just wait a year to get it on steam. I mostly hate on Epic because I hate the design of the launcher and more than anything.......... it doesn't have fucking achievements. If they had achievements for games I'd be a lot more open to the launcher, though admittedly I still wouldn't buy anything there because I don't want to have my games scattered across different launchers. The only launchers I use are Steam, Origin (cause I have to not cause I want to), Ubisoft (cause I have to not cause I want to), Itch.io (because sometimes it's easier than the site), and Big Fish Games (cause I'm nostalgic don't judge me). So for me Epic's launcher is a.... I get the free games and try them and then if I like them a lot I will look out for a good sale and buy them on steam because I want to achievement hunt. There are a few games I purchased on steam that I got free on Epic because of how much I loved the game and I wanted to (a) support the dev and (b) achievement hunt. Like Last Day of June and Everything. 100% with you on Origin though. Bethesda just announced the end of their launcher and that you will be able to move your games over to steam. For the love of fuck I wish Origin would do this. Just let us move our fucking games to steam and end your miserable existence you piece of shit launcher....
The content of this video is good. The transitions between different parts of your video are terrible. In the future don't berate peoples ears with the same song clip every few seconds, it has nothing to do with your video. Might I suggest stream beats. Also It was rather annoying to see the next launcher start to display before you were done talking about the previous one. You should have your rating display at the same time as you say what the rating is. That being said, good content. Keep it up. Also you didn't link the No Clip video you said you would.
