What i remember most about Scottish Grandfather, was the Coal Tar soap, Aramis and Brylcream in his hair. He wore tweed and loved to hunt and fish for trout. He also wore a very nice 9ct Roamer watch (which was passed down to me). I guess my Parker pen is something British, that i use on a daily basis. Great show again.

Excellent video as always. What about HP sauce a very British product originating from India, if I am not mistaken.
The other thing to remember with quality items is that it’s all about £’s per wear. Watches for example, can cost a lot but can be passed on through generations so not really that expensive when you look at today’s throw away culture.

I own three Kent combs, the oldest is 5 years old now, best $10 I ever spent on that one, still works and looks brand new.
Personally I have a wide tooth for after I shower, a fine tooth pocket comb for styling and maintaining a hairstyle throughout the day, and a mustache comb that doesn’t see much use recently (shaved beard).
They really are the best bang for your buck for what you get.

Because of you, I ended up interested in Floris fragrances. I received a few samples from a reputable website and I ended up loving No. 89 and JF! My favorite ended up being JF and I found out that it was developed on my birth year, 1993. You should give JF a try, it smells great and you wont regret it.

I can't agree that Earl Grey is as British as tea gets. It's a traditional black English breakfast blend. Splash of milk, touch of sugar. Just simple, honest, slightly bitter and astringent, and it caffeinates you. Like, Earl Grey is well British. Don't misunderstand me in this regard. But, there is something universal about the simple and honest nature of a breakfast blend.

Earl Grey, Bovril, Shepherd’s Pie (I guess all to be consumed), It ain’t half hot mum, Benny Hill, Fawlty Towers & Mind your language. Does Roman Atkinson and Mr Bean count 😳😉?
I will certainly get a Signet ring as you suggested!

    Splendid video, old boy!
I use a British made tangle teezer everyday. I only wear Barker shoes (god, how I love them), and my Omega CK2129 has an English-made case (Goldsmiths and Silversmiths, purveyors to Her Majesty) and gets an awful lot of wrist time. Like you, I love to wear British made jackets in the winter, especially, I love my Gloverall Union Jack duffle coat which is very much “in your face” but just too amazing when you walk down the street in London and get so many reactions.

    Hi dear TGV!
That pro - intro was killing me! :)) Very sweet, I've smiled a lot! :)
Good fragrances are very important and they match well to a clean body. :)
Sometimes I just cannot choose, but I think the main reason is the lower quality, so, thanks for recommending the Floris products, I'm very curious to look after them!
I loved the Lancome Miracle L'aquatonic ( a green, beautiful fragrance with coriander ) many years ago, and the Prada Amber ( lilac, highly floral, wonderful stuff ).
Thanks for sharing with us your lovely remembrance of your grandfather!
I'm also a big fun of gemstones.
Do you, sir, play chess at all? :)
Loved all the stuffs you discussed about, thank you!
    Always pleasure :)
    Happy greetings, Robert

I do appreciate your passion for individualism and your heritage, thus what gives us all our personal touch and signature to who we are. Not really luxury brands as such, but as a woodworker I have found it worth seeking out classic British made tools...they kind of lost their edge (pun intended) after about the early 1970's, but post war Stanley planes are a delight to use and older chisels from Marples and Robert Sorby have a feel all of their own and hold an edge as well as the very best of today's tools.

Thanks for sharing! Keep one eye on Hugo whenever Ernest is around - He's quite the lovable little nobleman...don't want a T-Rex after him... : )

I love my Charles tyrwhitt dress shirts - slim fit spread collar/cutaway collar, and my British rock music albums.

Funny that you have your grandfather's pocket watch, as that's one of two things *I* have of my grandfather's as well. And his is a Hamilton, suitably since we're American :-). It's from the 1920s - and still runs! Also have his sword cane - how cool is that? Has his initials engraved on the silver tip of the handle.

Conway Stewart fountain pens for me. Quintessentially English. After all, they were good enough for Winston Churchill. :-) Oh yes, and classic Mini Coopers.

Although he also used Onoto pens! Had a number of real Minis but my two classics at present are a Triumph GT6 convertible (made for me as never officially made) and a Morris Minor Traveller - a timber framed car where the wood is structural. I use a Conway Stewart pen every day as the Onotos are for special !

Absolutely amazing video as always TGV! My grandfather passed me down my great grandfather’s Parker 51 and it still works beautifully. I can definitely recommend a Parker pen of any sort to anybody. I think they’re classified as luxury, but I might be wrong.

Thank you for the links. I'm going to treat myself this Christmas, I think! A lot of these items go well with winter in my opinion. I drink tea all year, but the spiced tea and Earl Grey are just great in cold weather.

Great video, made me homesick for good old blighty! So glad to hear you’re a Prince fan too, I knew you were a top bloke 👍🏾.
One thing, instead of the Lacoste how about a Fred Perry? It’s the quintessential English polo 👌🏾.
