    Okay, so since is being asked so often again and again, here's the answer to how I mounted these pickups without the pickup rings: I drilled holes into the pickup cavity and simply screwed the pickups onto the wood. Underneath the pickups I put some foam that pushes it upwards. Since the screws are pushing them downwards you're able to adjust the height.

      I'm sure I could find this information elsewhere, but what's the scale length? I assume 25.5" as these manufacturers usually just go with standard measurements to keep costs low.

      Awesome man, thanks for the reply! This video is killer and your tones kick ass. I wanted to try one of these guys out because I've always wanted a headless guitar. I figured put some good pickups on it, some good strings a bit of elbow grease and this thing should be good to go.

      @@h0nza_ You're going to end up investing into this piece of crap as much as a quality guitar costs. And overall this isn't a performance guitar - if you plan to take this up on stage or on your local band tour, let alone in a plane, you're gonna have a bad time setting it up.
      Bottom of the line is, if someone is serious about playing, he/she ain't going to buy these models because they know the price is too high. But if you're a bedroom guitarist that's just jamming and is not interested in making music, than this instrument is gold.

    Apart from all the critic and finding flaws just because the word Chinese is between, this guitar sounds and looks AMAZING. Of course it`s nice to know that somewhere in the guitar there is some carbon fiber but for 300$ not 3000Euro and few days delivery not one year i believe is totally worth it.

    I recently acquired a Cort licensed Steinberger, its a rare one. "Cort Space Stat" is their name as advertised in 1983. Its a headless Stratocaster in essence. Three single coil, five way switch and volume and tone, all look like and perform like a Fender. The model I got is a fixed bridge, with no tremolo. It uses the Steinberger-spec string, GHS string calls it double ball end strings. I was really impressed by the pickups, I had assumed that Cort made cheap PU's. Boy was I wrong. They are like overwound fat strat pickups. I will not be replacing them.
    The neck has aged well, straight as an arrow and the frets are in good shape. The body on the Cort is sort of like yours. It is my new favorite guitar. As an older player, with bursitis of the shoulders, I need a light weight guitar. Also, most guitars are neck-heavy. My Cort is perfectly balanced on its strap mounting points and my body does not hurt as much playing it..

    For those wondering about the guitar's bridge (how it restrings), essentially the bridge works very similarly to a tuning peg, turning the string, except vertically (the goldish disk shapes in the middle of the bridge)as opposed to sideways, the strings are mounted into these small as heck holes that may pose a problem, the disks are a bit cramped and therefore the holes are really small, possibly not fitting anything over a 10 or 11 set of strings without modification (widening it), after securing the string, you tighten the screw using the magnetically attached hex key head tuner thingy, all in all these guitars truly are of a good build quality and with some sanding of the back of the neck, a truss rod adjustment, maybe a bridge modification, maybe even crowing the fret ends (they aren't sharp though) and a pickup swap you'll have a damn good guitar

      not exclusively true. it just depends on the quality of the guitar. this looks and sounds good, and by his account it plays well too. for the same price you could get an Ibanez Gio, which does not particularly sound good and doesn’t usually feel much better. a good setup and quality pickups in any guitar will make it a good guitar. ultimately

    As another owner of a grote headless guitar, I am pretty content with my guitar. In the original order it was supposed to be a satin finish (ended up being gloss which is fine). I tossed the shite pickups the moment I got them, plays quite well (I sanded the neck slightly to get a very buttery, smooth neck but it was already pretty good)
    Pretty trash past the 12th fret for me (have to level down the frets I'm wagering) and the action is fucking high (which bothers the hell outta me)
    Not gonna lie, I do enjoy tuning with the built in Allen key, I find that it's a tad bit more precise and "faster to tune"

      Hi! Well, to be honest, this could be a faulty trussrod you got there... I mean it's a cheap chinese guitar, I would not be surprised by anything but it being actually good.
      I can't quite remember how to change the strings as I did it only once when I had it and that was many months ago!

      did you ever figure this out joseph? I plan to order a guitar with the same bridge. Looks like you clip the ball off, and just put it in the bridge and wind it up but i havent found any videos of someone restringing with this bridge

      zak hudson Hey man, yeah I was able to figure it out. Yep you've got it, winding it through is tricky definitely made sure you have an extra string or two just in case!

    • @zakhudson
      @zakhudson 6 років тому

      Joseph Badalamente why do you say that? Do you put it through the bridge then cut it right after? Also did you manage to snag a video of it? How was the guitar? I asked a few sellers, I play in drop b with a set of 12/60 and they all said I would be fine but I’m not so sure yet

    Hey man, just wondering, how did you lower the action on yours? I recieved mine just today and it was almost perfect. I just wanted to know how you adjust the action.

    • @MilianMalivukMusic
      @MilianMalivukMusic  5 років тому

      Lowering the action is reeeeally weird, I don't even know how to explain it properly. Like the string is resting on that slot, and this slotpiece is attached to a "wheel". You turn that wheel and the position of the slot will change... Let me know if you got it.

    body wood would be bass wood, if it is light then it would defo be base wood, or some off cut mohogany. love the inflames flag btw. my fav album :-)

    You can get headless guitars at Bargain musicians.com. They sell "guitar kits" that you finish up yourself. Also, I believe the prices are even cheaper than that of the mentioned prices through eBay. Just helping out starving musicians out there!!! Guitar Kits start out around $150 U.S. dollars and go up a little from there.

    Hi, kind of an old video, but I was wondering what pickups you chose? Thank you.

    Lol that's nice you get a nice sound from a pod thing :D I've used a skervesen, schecter, music man, Mexican fender, bc rich and an axe fx. I can never get a good sound lol :D looks cool, but I wouldn't buy it tho ;~; I didn't like the stranburg, I returned it after 2 days of having it. It cost me 2200 USD I wouldn't recommend buying it, for its price, just buy something else ;~;

      Jkelly451: I wouldn't do it again. It was a fun experience but only recommendable if you're more easy on money.
