I used to work for Joel. He’s one of the hardest working men in leeds! So much love for the guy
Joel is a good friend of mine . He kicked off in the trinity kitchen . He had just chicken and burger . Now he has a lot more choice and the food is absolutely amazing . So the reaction is perfect and what I would have expected .
He’s absolutely quality, loves what he does and it shows. If ever I’m in Leeds I know where I’ll be eating 👍👍.
Leeds has some top notch places to eat. Used to work there a few years ago. Place called foodie (on york road?) was one of my favs. Very small and not busy, but I thought it was amazing.
I haven't been to town since January 2020 but I'll give this guy my money when I go back.

20 minutes into the video and he still hadn’t touched the food. Was I bothered, was I feck. Anybody else and I would have switched off, but Danny is so likeable and entertaining. You just have to keep watching.

I'm the same I have a really low concentration level but I find him so entertaining, its not just about food in his videos but added entertainment value too, only found his channel last week
The way the guy was banging on I thought it was going to end up a disaster, but that food looked incredible, he shows you the meat he's using, assembles it all in front of you, he's so friendly, remembers repeat customers, good on him, he fully deserves to be a success.
I used to walk up that street to work, everyday for 10 years.
There's no way Id have the balls to set up a table and plonk myself down right in the middle.

@ Adam Hughes - I take your point and I like Danny as well. But, I think the point you're missing is that Danny is not a child or a teenager, but a 40 year old man! At 40, people are performing brain surgery, running companies, giving televised speeches before 650 fellow MPs in the House of Commons and many more occupations. Even plein air painters set up their kit in the middle of a street. In other words, confidence, aka the ability to give zero fucks, is something that comes to many with age and experience.

The thing i love about Danny is not just the fact that he's a straight up fella, but be actually pays for the food. He doesn't expect freebies like "influencers", he's just a dead honest bloke and i wish him all the happiness he brings everyone else

Seriously. I hate going to London or Brighton for days out purely because people are so damn rude. Even in my smallish, quiet home town at the very bottom of the country, people can barely muster up a neutral face, let alone a smile.
It's because London and most southern places are basically a foreign country now.

The zoom out at the end showed the reality of Danny sitting by himself in the middle of a main shopping street with the world going on around him but all he cared about as enjoying his food "oh my god". Fantastic!

The woman at the van was lovely, the chef had passion for what he was doing and Danny’s just Danny we all love him. Respect for the cameraman too.
Seeing a channel become such a success by someone as down to earth, genuine and entertaining as Danny has made me up. Him being recognised and people wanting pictures with him is incredible and I hope his success only continues to grow and grow, because this guy deserves everything and more

Love how this channel is not only about Danny, his personality & quality content, not to mention the ever increasing editing levels. But also how it is focusing on independent retailers, honest hardworking people, trying to make a living doing what they love, at the arse end of an atrocious time for their businesses. This type of exposure and endorsement can be game changers for them and keep money away from the typical mega corporations. Such variety in the outlets he picks too. Beautiful to see!

Walked past that van loads of times when I was living in Leeds and never tried it, regret it now. The man will need to open a restaurant soon with all the new customers coming, food looks amazing and next time I'm in Leeds will 100% have some.
