I am so glad Tom Clarke is finally being been talked about. I've always though that it was disgraceful that it was terrible that this man was almost forgotten about. His wife's book was absolutely brilliant. It is terrible that most Irish people believe that Pearse was the first signatory of the Proclamation. Don't get me wrong Pearse was also great it was just an awful shame that this man was never properly recognised. There are street's monuments etc to all other signatories there really needs to be one for Thomas Clarke also. They were all wonderful and every one of them deserves to be remembered by us. 🇮🇪
@@michealcolins6765 It is disgraceful although he is the first signatory on the proclamation of independence, he is also the only member of the signatories who never had any memorial created to honour him or any honour. I agree with Queen street being renamed, I'd vote for it in a heartbeat. I don't think we should ever forget any of the men or women from our past who fought and lost their lives fighting for our freedom. I can only imagine what it was like back then but obviously none of us alive now will ever be able to comprehend it . It's a good idea about changing the street name, I've no idea how you would go about it but I'll definitely be trying to find out as much as possible now, cheers. Best of luck to you,.
@@eg2514 i would like to say also that the Brave men of 1916 didn't lay down their lives for to be slaves to the Marxists scum that control the European union. The government that is in control of this dear land are puppets for the globalised cabal! These puppets don't care about the brave men and women of Ireland, they only care about themselves and how much money they can plunder from the real Irish people. GOD SAVE IRELAND.
sorry to be offtopic but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
Very good a lot of people in the north feel the northern links were written out, Connolly living in Belfast and people like Jack White never being known
@@safeysmith6720It is sad how the language has made no progress, although I do wonder why the government and schooling systems in general have not just done a dual-language thing.
I would love to see a United Ireland and see the tri colour really stand for what it represents peace for the entire country. I live in Northern Ireland though I am not from Northern Ireland, this is something I have wanted for as long as I can remember.
Yeah but the problem was most of the people there are Protestant and Unionist although there is majority of Irish Catholic and Republicans. They are were extremely hostile towards Catholics and when Ireland was partitioned in 1921, the Unionists implemented laws that made Catholic second class citizens up until the civil rights movement in the late 60s and early 70s. Today there still this tension between these two groups

Thanks for this, it seems to have been removed from every other platform, almost like they don’t want us to see it!

My great grandmother, Emily Clarke, moved to the states in the 20's, from Ireland, County Mayo.

Lol right?? I felt like they were subtly trying to say “If you really cared about Irish culture, you’d understand him right now!” 😅😅
I think he's saying the same thing as the other lad. Just as Gaelige

100%. They died for an Irish Ireland a Gaelic Ireland. They did not die for us Gaels to become a minroty in our own homeland.
Éireann do na Gael
The two Irelands should be reunited after a thousand years! LONG LIVE A UNITED IRELAND!
Subtitles please!
What is the song at the end sung by the lady?
Pov: You’re here because you’re teacher asked you to watch this
Up The Ra 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Great documentary, but spoilt by the chap speaking Irish. Even in Ireland, 99.5% of people would have little clue as to what he was saying.

Whenever Irish is used, there should be official sub-titles in English. If one reads the available sub-titles , it is simply non-sense rubbish.
Subtitles for Irish Gaelic please
