this video was oddly comforting, I have been journaling since 2019, filled almost 8 journals!! I love it when people talk about their experiences. I am looking forward to your journaling videos
Thanks for this video !! I started consistently journaling everyday a few weeks ago and it did change the way I think and my overall mood. I've been more positive these past few weeks, journaling is such a small thing but it can really change your life ! 🤗
i have been journaling on and off for the past 1-2 years. somehow i stopped it for the past few months. recently my cat passed away and i have been in this state of emptiness that whenever i am going there i am just swallowed by the grief. so for the past few weeks all i had done was run away from that so that i can function properly and go on with my work. honestly distraction helped me somewhat to keep this sadness away, but running away forever is just not doing good for me emotionally. it's very tiring at the end. i think journaling would help me to process this and at least not feel lost. thank you so much for providing your own experience and insights on journaling.
i really appreciate you for opening up and sharing your story, & i am so deeply sorry for your loss-i can feel the love and care you have for your cat even through this one comment. i completely understand why you would want to avoid journaling at this time, it could be really heavy and overwhelming to process the grief. whenever you feel ready to journal about this, i’d love to offer any thought starters / inspiration to help you move through the grief: maybe you could write a letter to your cat, write about your favorite memories/moments, or even write honestly about how you have been doing these last couple months, etc. of course, do what feels right for you, but wanted to extend any inspiration-i hope this can help in any way. sending you so much love & healing 🫂
Seeing all the books made me flash forward to the future of my grandkids reading mine when I pass on. Weird thought but thats the beautiful part about journaling. Getting your thoughts down for yourself, but potentially to others to help
i love that idea, that feels so nostalgic even if i didn't reach that age / stage of my life yet - thank you so much for watching & sharing your thoughts :')
Journaling is the best tool to be more aware, aware of your own feelings and thoughts❤. Thanks for sharing your own experience, I loved this video so much❤
Thank you so much for this !! My therapist started to encourage me to journal, your way to see and how it has helped you makes me hopeful, i’ll def start writing more often!! and can’t wait for more videos on journaling !! 💗🕺🏻🔥
So lovely to hear that journaling helped you so much. It really shows how serious you are about this and this feels like a very genuine video. I relate to your thoughts about journaling but only started when i was about 21. I have many little books of years before that where I have one page written and the rest is empty. I always get sad about that because I could have written so much and recorded what i was going through. It could have probably helped a lot during those puberty years as you explain as well. I also love by the way that the journal the girl gave to you was so thin. I think that is a very good way to start; you can really fill the whole journal and feel proud of having finished a done that. It might really motivate someone to keep going with it.
thank you, really happy you resonated with the video! & i understand, when i first started i would miss MONTHS of journaling, but that’s okay!! as long as you come back to it :) also, wow i didn’t even think about the thin journal part (how that would be an easier + motivating way to start journaling)-such a good point!!
hi grace!!! ♡ i love your name so much :( i was watching this and when you got into chapter 2., the moment you said, "in sophomore year" and went into it, i felt SO seen and understood. i just finished my own sophomore year and starting junior year now, and it has been a whirlwind of emotions and i also felt the same ways with my self-identity and love (even right now...). i've always journaled but it's been hard to get back into it with everything going on. however, seeing what you're doing with your journaling and intentions and how much it has been helping you, i feel so inspired and hopeful for myself. thank you so much grace ♡♡♡
girl i love this and i know the power and change that journaling has brought to my life and my mental health but it was beautiful to hear about its impact for you
Thank you so much for the vlog on journaling! It was really inspiring and you've convinced me! I would love to start journaling for personal growth and so much more. Do you have any guidance on books, other videos, talks, or any resources to help me get the most out of it? I’d love to learn more!
i'm so glad this was inspiring :') i can definitely make a video on starting out + resources for you 🤍 i actually didn't really get into books/videos around journaling when i first started, but i can look into that too if that would be helpful for people forsure - thank you sm for sharing your thoughts & questions !!
@@journalbymoon Grace, I seriously can’t thank you enough for offering to make a video and share more about journaling-your content is already so inspiring! I know putting something like that together takes time, so I’d love to support you if you ever want to turn it into an ebook or something for your website store! I’d be more than happy to pay for your time and effort. You deserve it, and I’m sure so many others would love to learn from you too!
i'm so glad, thank you for sharing. this is exactly why i posted this video :') i hope journaling can help you in ways it helped me back when i was 15 🤍
