kaybikerow actually that isn’t right. The CRA has a language code on your file that you chose when you sent your tax return in your language of choice (obviously Eng or Fr). If the CRA initiates communication with you they must respect the language on your file and if they give you a phone number to call it will most likely be in your language. So when you call that number they answer in that language only because the same service in the other language has a different phone number.

So stupid the way they do that. Especially since we have major government officials here in Canada with Indian and Arabic names! It wouldn't surprise me if an accented person with a foreign name actually DID work for the CRA,; they don't have to make such an obviously fake name. So so stupid.
