If I had a gym it would be a dragon-type prison gym, and the main theme would be any Pokémon who’s type was super effective against dragon-types would be taken away from you if you had them on your team
Mr Buddy I would be a ghost type gym, the entrance is a monulesum in a graveyard. My puzzle is a catacombs maze witch have many roaming Ghost Type Pokemon in it.
I see a mr buddy by a wiggly tuff i will up date this as i watch i see oden and two skull grunts cythia red hylga (i think that is the females protags name in black and white) guzma team budy grunts
Mr Buddy I think I would want a ground type gym in a desert where a perpetual sandstorm is occurring. I’d give out the TM earth power or dig. I’d probably want to be a lategame gym more like 7th where the protagonist just had a recent encounter with the enemy team that didn’t go well. The gimmick of my gym outside of the sandstorm is figuring out where to go by fighting trainers to get information in how to traverse the maze. Similar to how back then they had to find their own path to a sanctuary of sorts. You would find me in an oasis with a camerupt willing to take you back to the entrance, I’d give a speech about how you have gone far where others fell short and gave in and I yell at ya to find your own path and not to let others tell you what you can/can’t do. I have a krookodile my main, hipowdown, gliscoor, and maybe that sand torkoal of yours. After you win I would bestow you with the 💎 badge to go with the idea of perseverance and that it ain’t wrong to ask for help. My design would be that of a desert traveler with a billowing cloak and staff. Another “interesting detail” is that I’m surrounded by mareep and you hear from one of my grunts that they once saw me split the sea. Woah this was really long I hope you like it and if you go for an egypt idea you might like this one.
Although water is my favourite type, my gym would be based inside a giant, upside-down tree growing out of the bottom of a cliff, be the 3rd gym, and all of the trainers would use bug types. You would drop to the bottom, when you enter through a gigantic chute in the middle. You would then have to battle trainers as you use switches to activate fans which launch you to the next level. After 6 levels of fan jumping shenanigans, you would reach me, a gym leader based off of an entemologist. After you defeat me, you would obtain the Amber Badge and the TM for X-Scissor. Trainers (Number next to their name represents what floor they're on) ------------------ Bug Catcher Tyrone (1): Pineco Lv 21 Volbeat Lv22 Bug Catcher Ray (1) Grubbin Lv 21 Illumise Lv 22 Bug Catcher Jonathan (1) Burmy (GC) Lv 21 Burmy (SC) Lv 21 Burmy (TC) Lv 21 Bug Catcher Tony (2) Shelmet Lv 22 Karrablast Lv 22 Bug Catcher Barry (2) Venonat Lv 22 Paras Lv 22 Bug Catcher Donavon (3) Beautifly Lv 23 Dustox Lv 23 Bug Catcher Lori (3) Charjabug Lv 23 Vivillon Lv 23 Bug Maniac Wyle (3) Dwebble Lv 23 Joltik Lv 23 Larvesta Lv 24 Bug Maniac Robin (4) Skorupi Lv 24 Dewpider Lv 24 Bug Maniac Henderson (4) Ledian Lv 24 Kricketune Lv 24 Scientist Kaloa (4) Shuckle Lv 25 Scientist Adelle (5) Yanma Lv 25 Durant Lv 25 Scientist Adam (5) Ariados Lv 25 Pinsir Lv 25 Ninja Boy Ethan (6) Ninjask Lv 26 Shedinja Lv 26 Ace Trainers Sam and Ally (6) Whirlipede Lv 26 Vespiquen Lv 26 Hiker Tucker (6) Anorith Lv 26 Crustle Lv 26 Gym Leader (7) Heracross Lv 27 Golisopod Lv 27 Scizor Lv 29 Well, that took 40 minutes to type. Hope you guys liked my idea!
Am I the only one wondering why you are a life guard and hand out the “buoyant” badge, but don’t have a Buizel? That’s almost as outrages as Marlon, the water gym leader from black 2/white 2, who had a gym puzzle about floating on lilypads, but didn’t have a lombre/ludicolo. I don’t think any of his gym trainers had any members of the ludicolo line either.
I went all in with the turtle theme xD Floatzel and Buizel are definitely favs though, so if I had a full team of 6 Pokemon one of 'em would definitely be on it!
The Lotad line was nowhere to be even seen in Black 2 and White 2. Do some research before hating on something on the internet, because believe me, someone's going to correct you, and it won't feel good.
This gym, with interacting with many npcs and things like that, you could upgrade it into a resort that the whole resort is like a town complete with a pokemon center, flyable to location, and the central tower would be the gym itself.
I adore all the cute little cameos of Pokémon characters and your "If blank was a Pokémon region" Ocs! Here's hoping we'll have more references like this in future videos of yours! :D
I think for my gym, I’d follow a theme rather than a certain type. Specifically, it’d be a winery! This would include grass and poison types (grapes and alcohol) as well as the occasional psychic type. The gym would put you in the place of a sommelier , bringing certain wines to certain distinctly designed trainers. The names of the wines would all be puns about the trainers themselves, or the area or order they were in, and you’d get to each trainer through a vineyard maze. After they have their glass, they battle. The last wine would bring you to me, the gym leader. I would be around the 5th gym leader, so my pokemon would be in around the early 40’s. My team would consist of: Cherrim, lvl 40 Spinda, lvl 41 Trevenant, lvl 41 Scolipede, lvl 43. I would give out the vineyard badge, and give the tm for dizzy punch Loved the video. Keep up with the amazing content!
I would be a Dark-Type gym leader and my gym would be a casino. The puzzle would be to find out the 9 digit code to my office so you can battle me. The only way to get the code is to be given a number from 9 different dealers who can be battled in any order. After you battle a dealer, the dealer will hold out a card and you will have to guess what card they're holding, if you get it right they'll give you one of the number, if you get it wrong you have to battle them again. After you get all 9 numbers you will have to input the code and if you get the code wrong you will have to battle one of my security guards. The figure out the order of the numbers there will be subtle hints such as the dealer tables having a certain number of cards on it. After you finally enter my office I will greet you sitting behind a desk and congratulate you for getting this far and tell you to prepare yourself. My team will be a lvl 54 Shiftry, Scrafty, Houndoom, and Skuntank, and a lvl 56 Tyranitar. After you defeat me I'll hand you the Roulette Badge which looks like roulette wheel and a TM for Crunch.
My gym would be a ground type 8th Gym. The theme would be the desert, with those sinkholes from Unova's relic castle, they would drop you into a large cave, and the trsiners would have Pokemon like Garchomp, Krookodile, and Flygon.
I would be a rock-type gym leader with a fossil themed gym. The gym layout would be a fossil dig site of water type fossils that has two floors. The first floor would contain the dig site, a museum segment with a small gift shop (and some VERY expensive for you to purchase), and a second floor which would house the gym. The gym would have a large hole in the middle of the floor with catwalks spanning it so guests could look down into the dig site and watch the scientists and archeologists at work. several people would be milling about on the gym's floor, including the aforementioned scientists and archeologists, as well as several tourists, all looking out for prospecting trainers. with all that out of the way, the puzzle for my gym would be gates on the catwalks that you need to answer a question for them to open (all answers can be found in the museum below) and would cause someone to come and fight you if you got it wrong, soft locking the gate. If you wanted to, you could go around the outside edges of the floor to avoid the gate, but be forced to fight the trainers. as for me, the gym leader, I would be a mid to late gym (5th or 6th) and have a team consisting of a lileep, an omastar, a Carracosta, and my signature kabutops. when I am defeated, I would give you the ancient badge, which looks like a rock with an omamite fossil in it and the tm ancient power, as well as access to the cloning lab to resurrect the fossils you can buy at the gift shop. I have been working on this concept since 2013-ish, and I gotta say, I'm quite proud of how it turned out! so, thank you to Mr. buddy for inspiring me and the design of my gym, it's nice to get creative every now and again, especially with a series so diverse as the pokemon franchise!
I would be a 8th gym dragon type with Garchomp, Salamence, Dragonite, Charizard(Mega X) The theme would be a museum where you read historic mythology-ish scrolls about dragon pokemon. With only a few clues you have to guess the pokemon. If you get it right you pasd without a trainer, but if you lose you have to battle a trainer with the pokemon of the correct choice you would get draco meteor if you win my gym
Benedict J. I like your theme but i think it’s been done but in a different form. It’s Blaine’s gym in Pokémon blue, red, and yellow. You do quiz questions where you answer questions about Pokémon, and if you fail to answer correctly you engage in battle, and if you win you proceed to the next room, and you do this until you’re there to beat Blaine
everyone wants to do dragon type because they are strong. And having a full team of pseudo-legends + charizard doesn't sound very... well creative. But I Like the idea and would like to get a chance to battle it.
My gym would be the first gym and would would be a straight walkway and you would have to battle 1 gym trainer and then you would battle a unique looking gym trainer both of these trainers have normal type Pokemon then instead of getting your badge you would drokpthrough a trap door and be standing in a room that looks the exact same as the top room but is much darker you would fight one gym trainer that uses ghost type Pokemon than after beating them you would walk up to the back of the room and battle a figure wearing a dark cloak that turns out to be the gym leader. My team would be Ghastly lvl 10 Litwick lvl 12 Rotom lvl 14 After you beat me you would get the Tm for willow wisp, the trickster badge , and a mysterious key.
David Larkin the mysterious key would be used to open a door later in the game that would contain rotom and a box that would hold the appliances needed to change rotoms form.
Gosh, I’ve acutally been thinking about this since I saw your first few videos on the topic. I was split on type, and then I got the idea of doing two connected gyms (probably the fourth and fifth, depending on when in the region you hit the ‘big city’ for that region, since only a ‘big city’ could realistically support a dual gym), with siblings, friends, or SO’s as the two gym leaders. You could acutally choose which one you did first. They building itself is a theatre for stage performances, and if you go in through the lobby and into the auditorium, the gym you’ll face will be ghost-type, and you’ll acutally be pulled up onstage and into the show as the role of hero, as you progress through a story, you will fight various trainers that have taken on roles in the story, and the gym leader on that level (the one that I’m most likely to be) is the ‘writer’/plays the main antagonist. I’ll probably have a quip somewhere along the lines of the story being a tragedy if you lose, and that the audience has gotten tired of all the tragedies recently, or something. You know, good old-fashioned banter. I’m not sure about levels, but my team would be an Aegislash/Doublade, a Pumpkaboo, and a Lampent as my signature Pokémon, which would tie into the second gym: If you enter the theatre through the back door, you’d enter the backstage area, where you’d battle through the various backstage crew members, who are fire-type trainers (insert jokes about fire in a theatre here-that was kind of the point), all the way up to the Stage manager, who is the other gym leader, and related somehow to the writer/star and uses a Vulpix, a Feltchinder, and a Houndour/Houndoom as their signature Pokémon. Not sure about the TM, though. Hadn’t given that much thought. But yeah: that’s my gym(s).
I love how you included your various OC's in the Artwork! As for what my Gym would be like, well I'm not sure. I don't have favorite type and a lot of my favorite Pokemon don't share one type. I'd probably just do what Bird Keeper Toby did and just have one Gym of each type. However I do have an idea for a Fire-type Gym that I'd like to share. This Fire-type Gym would be a restaurant and would be the last Gym you'd challenge. Since it's a restaurant you will have to fight the Chef and Waiter and Waitress trainer classes and they'd use Pokemon such as Chandelure, Magcargo and Rotom Heat. Now Gym would be similar to Mossdeep Gym in that there are two Gym Leaders that you must fight in a Double Battle, with one of them having a Mega Charizard X with the moves Fire Punch, Dragon Claw, Earthquake and Rock Slide, and the other one having a Mega Charizard Y with the moves Heat Wave, Solar Beam, Air Slash and Tailwind. After winning the battle you'll be rewarded with the Gym Badge and a TM for the move Fire Blast. This Gym might be too difficult, even for the final Gym, but hey it's not like it's ever gonna be in an actual Pokemon game. Also, I know a Trainer can't use more than one Mega per battle, but keep in mind that this two trainers with one Mega each.
I think my gym would be either the 6th or 7th gym, my type would be Steel and the gym theme would be a Heavy Metal club. You have to battle to the door guy to get in, then making it past trainers standing in 3 different mosh pits. Once past them you'd have to battle security to make it on stage where I've been playing with my band watching you battle the whole time. I'd have a team of four, a lvl.34 Magenton, lvl.34 Probopass, lvl.36 Empoleon and a lvl.38 Lucario. Upon my defeat I would hand over my gyms badge; the Brutal Badge (a steel colored guitar pick with a pokeball in the center) and I'd also hand you the TM for Flashcannon.
My gym- Type- fairy General theme- a giant Forrest maze that leads to a clearing with a stage for performances and battles on it. Outdoor theatre Trainer classes: fairytale girls, rising stars, ace trainers, all using the actor trainer class. All the pokemon know sound based moves My team: carbink, whimsicott, and wigglytuff. Badge: fae Badge (pink opal center surrounded by gold frillies)
My gym leader is sukeban inspired girl who is the leader of an all girl gang of rad biker chicks! We had a bad reputation in the region, but really we are actually vigilante combating the region's evil team when the police fails, despite being a bunch of scary punk girls on motorcycles and baseball bats! I am the seventh gym leader and my fairies are tough as nails. I have a high level mawile, granbull, mimikyu, slyveon, and klefki with Mega mawile being my ace. My gym is much like the cycling road with plenty of punk girls and boys, and male bikers zooming around itching for a fight. It's a nugget bridge like gauntlet, and if you leave the road, the members will rechallange you so don't even think about running away. Make it through to the end and there is a shady looking bar. You'll find me in the back in a room with flowers and a punching bag. I tell you a story about how I once fought an entire rival gang by myself and that all I got was a chipped nail. "I won't even chip a nail with you." And the battle is on. Defeat me and you get respect and more information on the evil team. You also get the Mischief Badge! And what I imagine to be the TM for play rough "Fairies aren't all fluff and cute. They can also raise a bit of hell, and sometimes a good hell raiser and stir the world up for the better."
Here we go! My gym would be an electric gym, and it would be like an arcade. There’s a few people playing at some cabinets, and some people in some balconies above waiting to see if a gym battle might happen. I would be there at the back of the lobby, and when you walk in the door I spot and rush over to you. I ask you if you came to battle the gym, you say yes and I get an excited look on my face. I go back to the back of the lobby and flip a switch causing the lights to go out. You hear some machines whirring and then the lights come back up on a maze of arcade cabinets. This would be the first or second gym, so the gym grunts are Arcade Gamer Marlon Voltorb: Level 12 Arcade Gamer Landon Plusle: Level 11 Once you get through the maze, I congratulate you and flip another switch, which raises us up to the balconies and makes a Pokémon battlefield appear. Gym Leader Stars Pikachu: Level 14 Shinx: Level 15 (signature Pokémon) You defeat me and I give you the Bolter Badge, a badge that has an arcade cabinet on top of a big lightning bolt. TM Thunderbolt obtained!
I liked the fact that you stuck with your original concept and improved on it making it very unique and fun to go to. In my opinion a gym leader doesn't have to be challenging to be a memorable one, as well as the gym doesn't have to be over the top to leave an impression~ So I've had a bit of time to figure out what I would be as a gym leader and whatnot, since discovering this bandwagon I'm late to viewing lol, I hope you like what I have to show (plus I am super proud of myself for what I've created =v=). The type I would specialize in would be the Fairy typing. The entrance to my gym would be the giant head of a Slurpuff, painted on the side of a building, with the gym symbol being on its cherry a top its head, and the entrance to the building would be inside it's mouth. Inside you walk into a cafe with this frou-frou pink design to it. You can find the Jim Guy sitting at a table in the corner enjoying a dessert from the menu. When you talk to him he says "Don't let all that pink fool you into relishing sweet victory right away!" The first floor of the gym you have to deal with a maze of customers trying to order food or get to their tables, coming or leaving, etc.. On this floor you have to fight waiters and waitresses who will inquire you about some things such as dessert flavors and ascetic choices. (You can also buy food related healing items here or food items for whatever Pokemon refresh style feature they'd have in the game.) The second floor if this giant kitchen where you fight chefs and cooks. After you defeat them you can play some sort of mini game akin to the poffin mini game from Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and you can make food items that you can take with you like Lava Cookies. On the roof of the building you will be met with a life size cake that is made in the imagine of the answers you gave the waiters/waitresses on the first floor! You have to climb the 3-5 layered cake fighting bakers on the way up. When you make it to the top the middle of the cake opens up and coming out in confectionery confetti is myself, the gym leader~! Imagine some over the top hot pink mess of a man ahaha~! (Also baking/cooking puns and talk because I'm terrible like that heh~) When you talk to me I will say "You think you've had a taste of what's to come? Well you've only had a dash that has yet to prepare you for the wallop I'm gonna give you~!" I will be the 8th gym leader so I will have levels, movesets, and evolutions to play with. Plus I could be a bit powerful but not too overpowered. My levels range from 45-55. I have 5 Pokemon on my team. I lead with a Level 45 Wigglytuff its Ability: Cute Charm, Moveset: Body Slam, Play Rough, Sweet Kiss, Fire Punch. Between my Lead and my Ace I have: a Level 47 Mawile its Ability: Intimidate, Moveset: Play Rough, Iron Head, Ice Punch, Stealth Rocks. A Level 49 Slurpuff its Ability Aroma Veil, Moveset: Play Rough, Wish, Substitute, Toxic. A Level 51 Aromatisse its Ability: Aroma Veil, Moveset: Psychic, Drain Punch, Moon Blast, Aromatherapy. And my Ace a Level 53 Azumarill its Ability: Sap Sipper, Moveset: Aqua Jet, Play Rough, Belly Drum, Aqua Ring. (And it's a minor aesthetic but they're all in Love Balls.) When you defeat me I say "Defeat is a flavor that's not easy to swallow, but I will consume it with the best of dignity I can muster. You have whipped up an amazing recipe with such zeal and presentation and have sent my taste buds soaring~! Hopefully you can give the Elite Four that zest leaving them savoring for more~" *presents you with a badge that looks like cream puff styled as a Pokeball* "With the Powder Puff badge Pokemon up to level 100, even traded ones, will obey you. And while you're at it, take this as well~ It's TM 21 Play Rough." (I know it's not a TM but I could be in future games, and 21 is my favorite number.) "Play Rough is a fairy type move that also has the chance to lower your opponents attack." This isn't the strongest team for this typing and I know we've already had a restaurant styled gym before, but I love to bake and cook, and have been told I'm damn good at it, plus I like alienating people with the color pink~ ;P But I hope you like the hot pink mess that is this gym and I hope you can see the work I've put into it~! ^w^
I like your gym concept and I do not even like cake. :D Pokémon wasted the restaurant idea, in my opinion. Never was a fan of those guys and their gym. Your idea is much more sophisticated and I always appreciate a good pun. (By the way, "ascetic" is probably not the word you are looking for. "Aesthetic" should be the correct one. Got me a bit confused, especially in the context of eating cake and Love Balls :P)
I would have a normal type gym in the form of an orphanage, where I bring orphaned children together with orphaned Pokémon. I would be an early gym with Furret or Noctowl as my ace, Minccino, Deerling, Eevee and Teddyursa and give out the TM for Return. My badge would be a bit Rorschach-y with two people or Pokémon holding hands or hugging. I will only challenge you if you spend some time with the children, playing hide and seek and other games or telling them a story with random text blocks. You could even leave your Pokémon in the orphanage, which would work like a day-care for friendship. And you always get a funny anecdote partly based on the Pokémon's nature when you pick them up again. A naughty, rash or bold Pokémon may have been scolded for eating all the food, for example. Just one of a lot of ideas. I could go on and on with stuff like this. :D
That's a really sweet idea. It can add so much to the game it would be in. I don't think I've really seen anything like that in a Pokemon game besides maybe Black/White 2 where you're mentioning ex-members of Plasma and they're raising the Pokemon they had separated from their original owners... Before fairy types were a thing normal types were my favorite type and Furret is actually one of my favorite normal types~
My favourite types are Normal and Grass. So no surprise that two of my favourite Fairy type Pokémon are Granbull and Whimsicott. Carbink, Diancie and Mawile are also great. And Sylveon, like any Eeveelution. I could list almost every Pokémon, though. Slurpuff especially and probably some others I forgot. :D
so i have close to 25 written gym ideas but i think i’ll go with my favorite. a 5th gym specializing in the poison type, it’s general theme is thornbushes and trying to navigate through a maze of them. if you touch the thorns one of your pokémon will be poisoned except steel and poison types of course. the trainers would have levels around 25-28 and would appear from well hidden spaces in the maze using pokémon like skorupi, roselia, and nidorino/nidorina. finally as you enter a clearing in the maze you will see me sleeping in a hammock suspended between to trees. once you flip me out of the hammock i stumble and have to gain my composure. soon after i say, sort of angrily, “well, now that you so peacefully woke me from my amazing nap, i guess we should battle.....” and the battle begins. my pokémon: whirlipede: level:29 moves:poison jab steamroller rollout iron defense ability:poison point seviper: level:29 moves:poison jab night slash bulldoze glare ability:shed skin nidoking level:31 moves:poison jab drill run fire punch rock slide ability:poison point after you obviously beat my poison type team, i sigh and say “well this battle was a massive thorn in my side, but here, take this and leave” i proceed to give you tm 84:poison jab and the thorn badge. afterwards i hop back into my hammock and hopefully you leave. so i hope that isn’t a terrible gym idea, but honestly i have no idea.
I like the idea. Poison is a very underappreciated type. And I like that your gym leader is not a ninja or edgy person like every poison type user I can think of. Care to share some of your other ideas as well?
I would be a Steel type seventh gym leader and my gym would a big clockwork tower (kinda like the Big Ben!), I would be the leader of maintenance and the other trainers just workers, to get to me, you would have to search for little gears to complete a mechanism to open the door to my room, to do that, you would have to go through the clock's own nuts and bolts that would be constantly rotating, creating bridges and passageways for you to go through, or letting trainers thirsty for battle. When you finnaly meet me at my office/workplace/arena you would fight me, I'd have a level 40 Lucario, a level 42 Bronzong, a level 42 Aggron, and a level 43 Klang as my signature pokemon. When you defeat me I would give you the clockwork badge, a badge with the form of three gears in a diagonal position, and the TM of Gear grind.
Here’s another spin-off to that idea.....try having challengers come in different times of the days for different hidden items you have stockpiled in the gym. Like at Midnight- a chest with Max Revive in it. At 1am, find a chest with a Lum berry in it. 2pm- Moon stone. 3am- an ever Stone. 4am- a Chesto berry. 5am- a sitrus berry. 6am- dawn stone. 7am- a sun stone. 8am- a shiny stone. 9am- a revive. 10am- a grass stone. 11am- a water stone. 12pm- a Master Ball. 1pm- a max potion. 2pm- a full potion. 3pm- a mystic water item. 4pm- a Fire Stone. 5pm- Dusk Stone. 6pm- a timer ball. 7pm- a fast ball. 8pm- a heavy ball. 9pm- a love ball. 10pm- a level ball. And 11pm- a nest ball. Everyday, you can get *one* new item from said chest, depending on what time it is of your arrival. ⏱
Let's see... I'm a historian, and steel type is my favorite type, so a medieval-style castle that has been converted into a museum would be an ideal place for my gym. The gym puzzle would be a mechanical logic puzzle involving moving suits of armor. I'd place myself as the 6th or 7th gym leader (my signature Pokemon may be a bit overkill otherwise). The TM to give is either Gyro Ball or Smart Strike (not a lot of options to choose from in the first place). The badge would be the Shield Badge, shaped like a heater shield with a simple heraldic design on it. As for the team, I'm going with the following: Bronzor, level 34. Doublade, level 37. Scizor, level 41. (Give or take a few levels depending on gym number and the general scaling of the region. If adding a fourth member to the team, drop in a Metang between Doublade and Scizor.) An additional idea I had was "what if there was a post game thing where you get to fight all the gym leaders 'at full power'?" similar to the fighting dojo of HG/SS. For that, the team is as follows, with a bit of a theme: Bronzong. "The ceremonial bell of classical times" Aegislash. "The medieval knight" Empoleon. "The early modern ruler" (this one's a stretch) Magnezone. "The industrial revolution" (could also be a Klinklang) Metagross. "The WW-era tank" Scizor. "The mechanically enhanced body of the future" (it's the only one here that gained the steel type during evolution)
I would want to have a psychic type gym. I would be in an elegant ball gown with a fancy updo and a fair amount of jewelry, my pokemon being a Kirlia, a Chimecho, and then my signature pokemon would be a Gothorita. The gym would be in the style of a slightly misty ballroom(to give it a slight eeriness), and you have to "dance" your way through the gym (every dance being a battle). A requirement for entering my gym, though, would be getting a formal outfit from a store in town. Once you beat me, I would give you the Silk badge and the TM mist ball.
If I were a Pokemon gym leader, I would be a ghost type trainer. My gym would be a mysterious and labyrinth house; challanger should choose one door and open it to meet the leader. In the house, three npc trainers are in three different place, and they give the challanger a short quiz each. My main pokemon is Mimikyu(Lv45), the others are Froslass(Lv.45), and Chandelure(Lv.45). (I see when Litwic evolves to Lampemt at Lv.41, so the limits of level become higher than I think.)
My favorite type is Dark, and, while there have been no Dark type gyms, I feel it is an excellent type for a late game gym. I´d probably build the Gym around the theme of a city at night, with trainers appearing in different corners you could chose, with the amount of street-lamps (two, one or none) present in that alley representing the difficulty, the darker the street, the stronger the trainer. I´d probably add a jazzy tune in the background. The Gym Leader would be located at the top a clock tower at the very end of the gym. I feel that Dark is a type usually reserved for the Elite Four, so I´d probably choose to be the last or second to last Gym Leader to represent the Dark´s relationship to strong trainers as best as possible. As such, I´d like to build a strong and balanced team around the different combinations Dark has with other types, so I´d probably use Cacturne, Houndoom, Sharpedo and either Honchkrow or Mandibuzz (representing the three starter types as well as the Flying type, from which there is always a decent Pokemon at the start of any game). Finally, I would add a pure Dark-type as an ace. Probably Absol or Umbreon.
Well, we all know what needs to happen now. The battle of the Buddys. Who will win? Gym Leader Buddy and his turtle power? Or will it be Team Boss Buddy and his rockin’ crew? Only one can win.
Nice video! I really liked the creativity about it and how you could pass all the trainers if you really wanted to. I kind of wish there wasn't just a Squirtle and then it's evolved form, but that's just me. If I made a gym, it would probably be an ice type gym, I've always loved the cold and the snow. I would have Glaceon (it's cute ok), Lapras (never seen it used by NPCs), Weavile (speedy physical attacker, plus it's cool, hehe), and an Alolan Sandslash as my ace (since I've always liked Sandslash). The gym itself would probably have something to do with freezing and thawing ice, plus ice bergs for checkpoints. It would probably be your 7th gym, since I was born on the seventh month.
I would have a Ghost type gym and it would look like Haunted Towers from Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. You would have to go up the tree and every time you choose the wrong staircase, a trainer would battle you. Everybody (including me) would have the Gengar line. Beat me, and I reward you with the Poltergeist badge and TM Shadow Ball. Also, you would be able to use HM Waterfall outside of battle.
Well, figure I might as well! As I've stated numerous times during the live streams, I've been creating my own Pokemon region based on Florida, so I'm no stranger to this sort of thing. I also said once during said live streams that if I were a gym leader, I would use Bug types, but I'm going to be doing something a bit different. I've come up with numerous Fakemon ideas over the course of brainstorming for the previously mentioned region, and of course, if I were a gym leader in a non-existent region, it would only make sense for it to have Pokemon that don't live in the official ones, right? Grass is my favorite type, so that's what I'm going with, and I'm also limiting it to Pokemon that I've put into my region's Pokedex, since I want to keep it consistent. As for the puzzle, the one I came with for the Bug gym idea I had mostly works, but with some tweaking. The town the gym is located in is within a tropical forest, and the gym itself has no floor. Instead, the flora is free to grow, but creates a maze of sorts for the player to traverse. Once the player reaches the end though, they aren't greeted with the leader, but with a switch, one that activates a small arrangement of sprinklers nearby, and the downpour of water causes a row of new trees to grow. These ones appear next to the player, and are lined up from shortest to highest, being close enough to each other in height for the player to climb on-top of their leaves. Upon reaching the top of the tallest tree, the player is merely on top of the maze, and has to traverse a second version of it. This time they're working their way around a network of treetops where canopies connect them at various points. Eventually though, at the center of the second maze, I stand atop the tallest tree in gym. But if you take the wrong turn at certain points during either of the two mazes, you would have to potentially face a trainer hiding around the corner. Given how while it's a maze, it's still a fairly complex one, I imagine it would be around the fifth gym, so the gym trainers would have some sort of arrangement of Nuzleaf, Sewaddle, Swadloon, Ferroseed, and Steenee in-terms of the official Pokemon. But for my own ideas, as I mentioned before, there's Poppeace and Sombloom, a two stage Grass/Fairy line based on the Remembrance Poppy, Cherokin, a Ghost/Grass type based on the Cherokee Rose, and Carrobage, a Grass/Fire type based on the Eastern Skunk Cabbage. All the Pokemon will be somewhere between Lv. 28 and Lv. 31 depending on how many the trainer has. I believe it would go like this: Bottom Maze Bug Catcher Tyler: Lv. 31 Swadloon Lass Linda: Lv. 29 Sewaddle, Lv. 29 Steenee Youngster Mick: Lv. 28 Poppeace, Lv. 30 Nuzleaf Top Maze Hiker Rupert: Lv. 29 Ferroseed, Lv. 29 carrobage Aroma Lady Gabby: Lv. 28. Cherokin, Lv. 30 Sombloom Finally, there's me. I stand there at first deep in-thought, only after a few seconds do I even notice that the player is there. Snapping out of my daze, I apologize for my daydreaming habit, stating that I end up getting too absorbed into the scenery, only to ramble about how it's just too beautiful to help myself, slowly drifting back in. After another few moments, I snap out of it once again, taking a deep breath, giving a second apology, this time stating that it's simply too good of an opportunity to have a gym this beautiful, and not let your mind wander as you gaze out onto the canopy. Nonetheless, I state that I shall put all my focus into the battle, and the serene state the forest has allowed me to achieve has gifted me with a strategic mind, well-suited for battle! Finally getting to the gym battle, I send out a Lv. 31 Skiploom, only this one is Grass/Water! Did I mention I also came up with regional variants as well? It's moves consist of Giga Drain, Earth Power, Muddy Water, and Rain Dance. That last move in-particular will be an issue, as it'll reduce the power of Fire type moves to help my other Pokemon, as well as boost Skiploom's Speed thanks to it having Swift Swim! Plus, Skiploom is holding a Damp Rock, so if it sets up the Rain, it'll be going for awhile! While it may seem a bit ridiculous to start off with a strategy like that when it's only the fifth gym, remember that it's only a Skiploom. It's moves may be dangerous, but it's stats are too low to make it into a real threat by this point in the game. Second up is a Lv. 32 Swadloon with Giga Drain, Bug Buzz, Electroweb, and Calm Mind! While it may be deathly weak to Fire, it won't have to worry about it as much if Skiploom got up a Rain Dance. No matter what though, it has little to fight back against Flying types except for Electroweb, so those are the best bet! If you don't have one though, you'll have to take it out quickly, lest it set up too many Calm Minds for comfort! Last, but most certainly not least, Lv. 33 Orkindread, Ghost/Grass type, and the evolution of the previously mentioned Cherokin. Grass may be my favorite type, but Ghost is a *very close* second, so of course my ace would combine the two! With the Insomnia ability, which admittedly isn't that useful, it's more symbolic than anything, it instead makes up for it with a powerful moveset containing Shadow Ball, Giga Drain, Leech Seed, and Draining Kiss. This thing will heal, and it will wear you down. But if you can burn through its incredible recovery abilities, I will officially be defeated. After it's all over, I take a deep breath, before letting out a long sigh. In-spite of how much I've prepared, it still wasn't enough to withstand the true grit of your fighting style! I have no choice but to concede the Rose Badge! Along with that, I hand TM19 Giga Drain, so that your Pokemon will also continue to have the energy to take in the beauty of the world around them... Just hope that their opponent doesn't need it too much! WHEW!! Yeesh, this took... AN HOUR AND A HALF?!? Jeez, I need to stop putting so much time into UA-cam comments. This is why I'm not finished with my own region yet, I swear...
Jay Reed For a movie 🎥 themed gym...try 🧚♂️ fairy 🧚♀️ type. Well maybe because like most tales of fairy’s, movies can also give you a happy ever after type of theme, kinda already like a “fairy” tale.
the team buddy Logo at 3:42. Who's that girl? Cherry? Anyways, i like the gym idea, and i also spotted Greaser Buddy with Wiggly at the pool. I would love a Water Gym, but i would 100% run a Dark one, which ties into my Rival Story that i put somewhere on Toby's channel. In short, you have to rescue a Lilligant that i...uhhh...caught and turn me in, but you need to focus light onto a manhole to attract attention to open it, so you can enter, The trainers mainly use Sneasel, Thievul, Pangoro, Murkrow and one uses Sableye. Once they are beaten, you meet me in the sewers making off with Lilligant. I attempt to silence you with my team of Absol, Pangoro, Honchkrow and Mega Tyranitar, the team members who help me on my many heists, from lookouts to force. When defeated, i grant you the TM for Taunt, hand you Lilligant and run off, dropping a Shackle Badge. My gym is around the sixth, so Tyranitar will be a shocker to face, but i took it from Lance. My trainers are Burglars, Tamers and Beauties. That last one is for diversity, and Lilligant belonged to them, soo...can't have that.
I personally, i wouldn't be a Gym Leader, first of all because it would be too much work.... But, if i'll had to be one, i'll either be a Gym Leader like Blue, who fights with his best pokemon and ill be the last gym leader, but just me, and the trainer in a combat arena, with music acording to the tension of the moment, my best pokemon a Feraligator.... Or, if i had to choose a type, it would be water, i think, cause its the type i use the most, and i will use still a feraligator for my main pokemon, but the theme of my gym would be hard to think about, maybe something like an aquarium with soft music in the background
I find myself being something of a Grass Type gym leader. I would have a lv 35 Sawsbuck, a lv 38 Breloom, and a lv 40 Venusaur as my main My gym would be out in the woods and I would be a guy hanging out in the country with a bunch of friends that love being outside.
I legit wanted to tbh! I just felt like it was better to leave Team Buddy to being evil in their own videos and then do a gym that's not so connected to them (sort of haha)
I'd have a fairy/ghost/dark type gym set in a cozy-looking mansion that... seems off. It'd be based on fairy tales, and the older ones are a lot spookier than the versions we tell nowadays. There would be stately rooms on multiple floors that range from cheery gardens or tea rooms to gloomy bedrooms or libraries, sometimes both when it comes to the kitchen and dining room, to give the player a sense of mystery and magic. Throughout the mansion there's be references to many fairy tales. The man you meet at the entrance hints that there are clues to where the leader is, and you have to battle to earn them. One of the ways (other than battling) to progress would be a "hide and seek" game where you need to find the pokemon hiding among mimics (or even trainers dressed as them). You must beat the trainer in the room, who will give you a vague clue where/what the pokemon is. If there is no trainer, you battle two pokemon hiding in the room. Find the pokemon (and battle them if needed), and you get a piece of something. Collect them all (maybe four or five pieces at most to keep frustration levels low, eight if I'm gonna be the eighth gym) and it forms what looks to be a pocket-watch. You realize you need to find a clock. You'd figure out you need to go find the correct clock. During your search you encounter someone strange; their animation is stilted, they're muttering nonsense, and they vanish as soon as they're offscreen. This keeps happening for every new room you go to, and if it happens more and more times, there seems to be multiple people acting like this. You go through each clock you find, eventually finding a grandfather clock and insert the pocket-watch into a hole in its side. That will make the grandfather clock scoot over and reveal a passageway, leading straight to the top floor and straight to me. I'd be lounging in a chair reading out loud to the pokemon you can (and can't) see. I'd be startled by your sudden appearance and the pokemon would get scared off, but find it humorous and vow to get back at you for that. After defeating me I'd give the badge which would look like an apple (or berry but I really want apple) with shiny purple ooze dripping down, and then question you on your confusion at a particular character you encountered; saying you probably met a frustrated challenger. A pokemon activates the trapdoor right beneath you and you slide all the way into one of the cheery tea rooms near the front. After you beat the elite four and champion there would be a celebration in the ballroom (complete with dancing ghost pokemon because ripping off the Haunted Mansion ride is fun). I'd be here all day if I had to choose the amount of pokemon and levels and such, but mimikyu, chandelure, malamar, krookodile, sylveon, and alola ninetails would be definite choices for my team.
There are cameos from other videos and official pokemon games. Cynthia ( top right ) Team buddy leader ( bottom right ) Guzma ( bottom left ) Dabbing team skull grunts ( on yellow slide )
I would be the third gym leader. My gym would be an ice type gym, that's theme is a maze with three levels, where you go down go get to me. My team would be a level twenty Cubchoo, a level 23 Swinub, and level 29 Glaceon.
I love this idea. What kind of Pokemon gym leader I would be... Hmmm... I think I would be a grass type gym leader. People say I'm more of a grass type person, and I do love grass types. I'll probably be the fourth gym leader, who has a gym as a comic or manga artist(since that's my dream career). My gym would probably be inside a museum, much similar to the museum in unova but instead, the gym is the museum itself. The museum would be a maze. And you'll have to figure out which road leads to where. In some areas, there'll be gates which leads to either an item, a trainer, or the next clue/road that leads directly to me. If it's a clue, it'll be hidden inside a painting or a framed scene from a comic book. There'll be a panel leading to the road directly to me. Now the panel has a riddle, and to slove it, You'll have to use the clues given to you to answer the riddle. As for my team, I would have a level 30 lilligant, a level 34 Deerling, a Level 35 leafeon, and a level 40 Roserade(I think that's how you spell, I'm bad at spelling XD) as my starring Pokemon. I have no idea what mu badge would be called but I'll come back to that some other time
I think I'd like to be a Normal type trainer with a gym based on an Animal Adoption Center. My Pokemon would be basically some of the "pet" Pokemon; my signature Pokemon would be Persian, along with a Buneary and a Herdier. After my defeat, I'd give the TM for Return, emphasizing my idea of friendship. I also like the idea of it being possible to adopt an abandoned Pokemon from my gym, or even maybe there's a quest in my town where I help the player trainer catch a wild Type: Null.
Huh, that is very similar to my own idea, which I commented here: "I would have a normal type gym in the form of an orphanage, where I bring orphaned children together with orphaned Pokémon. I would be an early gym with Furret or Noctowl as my ace, Minccino, Deerling, Eevee and Teddyursa and give out the TM for Return. My badge would be a bit Rorschach-y with two people or Pokémon holding hands. A naughty, rash or bold Pokémon may have been scolded for eating all the food, for example."
If I were a gym leader, I would probably not specialize in one type, but 2! I have never been able to decide which I like better, Fire or Fighting. Why not do both? Heck, I would have Infernape as my ace. My gym would probably be in a volcano where a small dojo has been built near the center of the volcano. My gimmick would probably be using text blocks that hint which HM you should use at a gap where lava blocks you. After certain gaps, you face either a fire breather or black belt trainer. My personal team would be Typhlosion, Machamp, Lucario and Infernape as my ace. Probably would want to be the 8th gym leader also. (The picture looks great, and I also am feasting my eyes on a certain trainer and her Garchomp on top of the tower :3
I would probably want to be a psychic and fighting type, and would love for it to be a double gym, like Tate and Liz, but unlike them, my co-leader would be a fighting type trainer. Even if a idea of a double typing gym could work, I don't see gamefreak using it, so to make it fair for a game, it would be nice if like my fav gen, it was a version exclusive gym, like fighting Drayden or Iris on BW, and in one it would be a fighting gym, focused on the spiritual trainings with my signature Pokemon being a Lucario, since his signature move is Aura Sphere, a special move that links to spirituality, and on the other version I would be a psychic master with focus on the physicality of the psychic, with my signature Pokemon being a Gardevoir (my fav Pokemon, but that's not the reason), because it is normally used in competitive with the move Psyshock, witch deals physical damage, and that would be its main damaging move. I think this duality works really well, and the duality of it could even be tied to the main plot, and linked to the cover legendaries P.S.: Really nice vid buddy!
Type: Ghost Theme: Ghost train, since I love levels with that theme in games Design: it would be a gauntlet of trainers, but in battle a bunch of different things could happen, since a horde of ghosts & monstrosities attacking the train, such as the lights going out, decreasing every Pokémon's accuracy, or it getting hit by one of these spirits, causing either you or the opponent to flinch. My team: once you reach the conductor's cabin, you fight me, I have a haunter (lv. 39), a bannette (lv.40), a new Pokémon from this gen (lv. 41) and my signature, a mimikyu (lv. 43) this would be a fifth or sixth gym.
I guess this is my remake. I would be the 8th Gym Leader of a city called Night City. Though you would need to Surf to a cave nearby to battle me. Inside is a large cave, it is very dark when you walk in. But then it lights up and inside is just me. I would wish you Good Luck and the battle would begin. I would have 5 Pokemon being Lvl:53Zoroark, Lvl:53Drapion, Lvl:52Honchkrow, Lvl:54Greninja, and Lvl:56Mega Tyranitar. When you beat me and give you a small congratulations. I would give you either Dark Pulse or a new TM Crunch, depending on your game, and give you the Night Badge which allows you to use Rock Climb Outside of Battle! I would then tell you i was heading to lunch with my Pokemon and say Goodbye, and that, " I shall see you one day, my friend. I wish you the best of luck and would be happy to fight you again, Champion." The rematch is the same team but with mid 70's in level and Darkrai "added to the team". Making the team was the most difficult part as their are many good Dark Types like Cacturne, Sharpedo, Houndoom, Zwelious, Bisharp, Umbreon, and so many others were options! Though Houndoom was the top choice i really shouldnt add a 6th mon. Also, if i had another type of Gym it would be Bug. Have a great day! Also, i love your gym! Its much more than a gym but like you said, an actual water park! It is very good! Keep up the great work!
I would create a water type gym even though I'm actually not a fan of the ocean or swimming pools or anything like that. I just like water pokemon haha.
I'd be an electric type Gym leader, with my gym based around the idea of a conduit in the middle of the gym. It'd kinda be like one of those spiral energy points in Portal 2 that either push you away from, or pull you towards, the source of the energy. You'd have to go through more sci-fiish themed puzzles (inspired by Kalos's technology heavily) with holograms you'd have to put the designs of certain characters and namely gym trainers that got scattered and exchanged amoungst other holograms back into place. Each completed one aside from maybe your own hologram, would result in a battle. Power dispersion puzzles (failed attempts would likely send an electric pokemon at you), and likely a small library to check one's knowledge of the region / lore where you have to find and extract the correct archive. Each one of these give a disc or bit to the player, and all 3 would open the conduit of energy to take you up to challenge me. if it's like the anime, we'd have a 3-on-3 battle. Either way, my electric team'd be: lanturn, Jolteon, and Galvantula or maybe Dedene. Might make it a double battle if I can't decide. XD After you beat me, you'd get the Data (or Holo?) Badge, which'd give you the fourth key to the conduit to go to the electric pokemon terrarium downstairs (like PKMN Colosseum's gym), where you could work with breeders and researchers to get exclusive pokemon like the Thor Honedge or Alolan Geodude. Or at least, that's the string of ideas I came up with. XD Hope you liked reading my word wall. : )
my gym would be a poison type probably 5th-6th gym theme status conditions and hiking of sort with three chambers. the first would be a volcano like are with the first trainer with a salandit withwill o wisp you'd have to avoid lava bubbles a burn satus. the second would be an abandoned tower where you just have to avoid falling with the trainer having a haunter who would have hypnosis , and the final a forest like area which uses vines to avoid marsh areas with the trainer having a weepingbell and zubat which would have poisoning moves. my team would be a level 30 salandit 31 victreebell and a 33 crobat with status moves. finally my badge would be of a rainbow full heal and I would give you the tm for toxic
Fire type gym Incinerator room or ironworks theme Puzzle: 9 workers in identical fire protective suits are walking around the gym and 3 of them have buttons that turn of the flamethrowers blocking the main lever, turning the lever will turn the giant incinerator at the end of the room off revealing me, the gym leader inside. My team: Darumaka: level 20 - Incinerate - fire fang - rollout - headbutt Houndour level 20 - incinerate - bite - ember - roar Monferno level 22 - incinerate - fire punch - Mach punch - thunder punch Houndoom level 24 - incinerate - thunder fang - nasty plot - pursuit Rewards: Pokémon up to level 40 will obey you Can use strength outside of battle TM59 incinerate Thermal badge (looks like a thermometer) badge 3
Ghosts are my favorite type (I mean seriously, it's in my name and my picture has a dang Gengar in it) so it would be a crime for me to not lead a Ghost Gym. I'd use a variety of ghosts, wanting to show challengers the versatile movepools of the ghost type Pokémon as well as the varied type combinations. Lower level trainers will most likely have to deal with Gastly, Phantump, and Yamask. Evolutions of those would of course be seen in higher level gym battles. Other potential Pokémon would be the Duskull line, Frillish line, and Shuppet lines. Litwick too maybe. Just a good selection of ghosts. My highest level team would likely use Gengar as an Ace, though if not my main partner would most likely be a Misdreavus. She'd appear outside her pokeball a few times in the game, perhaps at some point when you meet me before the gym battle. Maybe she chews me out when I lose to you. Or she pouts when she doesn't get petted. Just a spoiled little cute princess XD. Pokémon with unique personalities are fun, so having that angle as well as using her for battle would be fantastic. I think an old library would make a brilliant gym theme. Have the player walk around looking for certain books (kinda like Nacrene City's gym) in order to discover the location of a secret book that opens a secret passageway, all the way dealing with ghosts floating out of walls or trainers mysteriously appearing behind you. Eventually you'd find me at a writing desk, penning a letter to Shauntel. Yep, the Unovan Elite Four member. Figure it would be a fun nod, since she's an author and a ghost specialist. And I also like to write and use ghosts. Plus it kinda matches the whole Victorian spooky vibe there. Trainers that beat me would receive the Spectre Badge, which borrows design elements from the orb on Misdreavus' neck. Which absorbs fear, by the way. Trainers would also receive the TM for Shadow Ball, one of my absolute favorite attacks.
A very intriguing setup! If I had a Pokemon Gym, mine would be a Dark-type Gym, the sixth in the region. The initial area would be set up identically to the Celadon City Game Corner, though more run-down, dimly lit like the abandoned store in Sun/Moon, and none of the machines would work. Aside from the usual guy at the beginning of the gym, the first trainer would be dressed as a Team Rocket Grunt with a Level 20 Rattata and a Level 20 Zubat, as a throwback to the original building. A button behind the poster the fake Rocket was guarding opens a hidden elevator to a very dimly lit sewer-like area, bordering on total darkness. The Trainers on this level are a Punk Boy, a Punk Girl and two Officers, the Officers having lit flashlights while the Punks lurk in the dark. The Officers would have Houndour and Houndoom; the Punk Boy would have a Bisharp and a Scrafty, while the Punk Girl would have a Krokorok and a Skuntank. The Punk Boy and Punk Girl would be relatively encouraging and nicer after their battles, while the Officers would be more rude and condescending. With each defeated trainer the area becomes brighter, until the challenger enters the room at the far end of the sewer after unlocking the door by turning on all the lights. There they would face me, in a room similar to Giovanni's office from the Rocket Hideout. My team would consist of a Level 38 Scrafty, a Level 40 Liepard, a Level 42 Absol and a Level 44 Skuntank (my signature Pokemon). After their victory, another hidden elevator would open up that the player can use to return to the entrance. The player would also receive the Shade Badge (shaped like a pair of pointed sunglasses like those that Ash's Squirtle sometimes wore), as well as TM97, Dark Pulse. My gym's theme is about subverting expectations and showing that things aren't always what they appear to be. The initial facade of the Game Corner and its obligatory Rocket serve as a throwback to Generation 1, as well as throwing the challengers a curveball when they enter an elevator instead of the hideout they might expect. Likewise, one would expect the Officers to be nicer to the challengers and the Punks to be more rude and combative, but the opposite occurs, and it's not enough to see your way through the dark, only by turning on all the lights can you progress. As for my team, it has a theme as well, being composed of Pokemon with negative stigmas attached to them or just ones with bad reputations (Skuntank being a skunk is easy; Scrafty being labeled as a hoodlum and Liepard being called the "Cruel Pokemon", as well as Absol being treated as a harbinger of disaster and loathed as a result). These are the kinds of Pokemon you'd see on a Team Boss's team, not under a Gym Leader! For the Shade Badge, it serves a dual purpose--you may be able to tell some things about people who wear shades, but what you can tell by looking at their eyes beyond or under their shades may be different from what you thought; also, as a word analogous with darkness it seemed too good a name to pass up.
I think a Fairy-type gym that's in/behind a Library could be fun. To reach the gym proper you'd have a knight blocking the door and asking a riddle, and you'd have to find three books (each a summary of a different fairytale) in the library that each have a clue to the riddle's answer in them. My gym's grunts would be themed after the three fairytales they're stood blocking. Finally, you get past the knight and there would be a spiral staircase behind him that leads up to a fairytale tower you could see from outside the library. Once you reached the top, you'd find and battle me! Though I'm having a lot of trouble deciding on a signature pokemon
People in background: Mr. Buddy (Bottom Right) Guzma (Bottom Left) Cynthia (Top Right) Team Skull Grunts (Center) Champion from Scandinavia Region (Right)
3rd Gym: Fire - Spell Badge Lvl 26 Braixen Lvl 26 Litwick Lvl 28 Alolan Marowak A "witchy" themed gym located in a town with many berry trees/ berry master. Outside, it would have large stained glass windows and vines growing on it. Inside, the gym is filled with many different colored crystals, plants, and candles looking like an old alchemy lab. The candles are a part of the puzzle; they each have to be lit with a specific color (orange, purple, green) that corresponds with the leader pokemon. To change the candle color you need to use a special berry that you get from defeating one of the gym grunts (furisode girls in black with vulpix or delinquents with houndour) if you guess the wrong color a hex maniac with a litwick will appear from the shadows and challenge you. A riddle would be given to you when you get each berry so you can know what color the flame would be. Since the whole puzzle revolves around burning berries, you would get TM59 incinerate.
I think my gym would be a water type gym, located on a luscious tropical beach. My gym would be the 8th gym (but definitely an 8th gym after the story's been resolved) and would have a really chill vibe. In the first room there'd be wooden boardwalks separating various shallow pools of water, to show off the smaller marine pokemon (think of it like an aquatic aether paradise). The bridges would have various dead-ends and would form a sort of maze. At various points throughout this maze would be interactive screens that display trivia questions on the marine pokemon, the answers to these questions can be found by beating the trainers around the gym. (keep in mind these trainers would use fakemon as well as non-water types based on animals found at aquariums) Ace trainer Caden Sharpedo, lv54 Ace trainer Ray Clawitzer, lv53 Dragalge, lv53 Ace trainer Riley Dracovish, lv54 Ace trainer Rhianna Drednaw, lv52 Torkoal, lv52 Carracosta, lv52 Ace trainer Sam Walrein, lv53 Toxapex, lv53 After answering a question, a gate unlocks somewhere in the gym, allowing you to progress. Once the final gate is opened, you can progress into the back room, where after passing through a marine-tube-like tunnel (albeit a lot smaller), you'll see me standing in front of a tank, like a giant window into the marine. I'll turn around and say "so you're (name), helped save the region I hear. I'm a little surprised you bothered coming here, with your kind of strength I'd be heading straight to the league! But hey, you're here, and I don't intend to go easy on you. Gym Leader Ad Wailord, lv54 Jellicent, lv54 Baskaiser*, lv54 Cosmoceras*, lv54 Morasuvius*, lv56 After my inevitable defeat, I'd remark about how my suspicions would be correct, and tell you to head straight for the league. Handing over the Sapphire badge and the TM for waterfall (just gonna quickly explain the fakemon) Baskaiser An ocean blue, pure water type basking shark with an ability called filter feed, essentially a water type sap sipper where both defences are raised when hit by a water type move Cosmoceras A pure psychic type octopus with a gelatinous, space-resembling body, it's ability is technician Morasuvius A water/fire type pseudo-legend. This giant moray eel has lava-like patterns along its body and lives in volcanic reefs. Its ability is Intimidate.
For my gym, i would like it to be a Fighting type gym. It will be the 8th gym of the region and the protagonist already beat the evil team. The theme of this gym is Hero where i, the gym leader will play a lead character in a superhero movie(like the Brycen-Man in B2W2) and i ask you,the protagonist to be the villain. You have to battle all 5 of my "sidekicks" in the set and the twist is you will have dialogue choices before/in/after the battle. Once you reach the city square background, i will appear with a heroic entrance and greet you with hero-ish monologue and the battle starts!! My team consist of Hawlucha Toxicroak Blaziken/Kommo-o Lucario Gallade (Mega Evolution if possible) After you defeat me the last dialouge choice appear and CUT!!! The acting session ended. And i mmediately go to the editing room and come back to applaud you beating me "BUT!!! These scene(s) need further improvement, pls redo them ^^(Example: scene 1 need improvement meaning you have to battle the 1st trainer) i won't give you gym badge and TM Close Combat until you pass the mark of 6/10 (Just hope you didn't get the finale wrong Hahaha) .Coz the elite 4 will be so difficult so you need all the training you can get The implementation will be quite hard coz some of you as a player just want to get the last badge and be done with it. Either way this is my idea and just want to share it with you guys ^^
I would be a mid/late game (6th or 7th maybe?) dark-type gym leader with Weavile, Drapion, Houndoom, and Absol. My gym would be a maze of identical rooms, each with a trainer having pokemon such as Honchkrow, Sneasel, Weavile, Krokorok, Houndour, Houndoom, Sableye, and Zweilous. The rooms would be completely in the dark, and Flash would not be permitted. Each trainer you face will point out one of up to 3 doors and say whether or not that is the correct path. Ultimately, the correct path is always to the room you started in, which from the beginning had a pressure plate near a doorless wall that makes it to where once you exited at the place you came in, you would find yourself in a well-lit room where I would be waiting. If you leave before defeating me, stepping on the pressure plate again will allow you to leave the maze and come back later, but if you leave after defeating me and earning the Instinct Badge (two black ellipses orbiting a purple and gray stained glass mural-type thing of a closed eye) and receiving TM59 (Brutal Swing), then you will walk out straight into the lobby from the door you entered in order to get into the maze. (Entering through the door at this point will take you gack into the maze.)
Hmm... If I was a Gym Leader, I think I would be a Dragon-Type Specialist. I would be fought later into the Region, I'd say Seventh or Eighth Gym. The 'theme' around my Gym, would have to do with emotions, anger in particular. My Gym would be located on a volcano, but you would enter through a normal Gym. Once entering, you would notice two ways to proceed, left (which is labeled River) and right (which is labeled Inferno). If you go left, the puzzle would involve letting go of the complications of the puzzle, and just take in the subtle hints, which would lead you to me! (The LEFT gym trainers would specialize in Dragon and Water Types) Right, on the other hand (badum-tish!) would have a puzzle all about breaking through the correct obstacles, until you face me! (The RIGHTS gym trainers would specialize in Dragon and Fire Types) After either puzzle, you would arrive in my rather simplistic battlefield. I would make some conversation, depending on which route you took (though either way, it's evident I am a bit unbiased). Then, you would battle me! I would have four Pokemon! Kingdra (lv. 55 ), Turtonater (lv. 55 ), Dragalge (lv. 56 ), and Kommo-o (lv. 59). After the battle (if I'm defeated), I would award you with a half-blue, half-red, heart-shaped badge. (The Emotion Badge!) Finally, I would award you with the TM for Dragon Rush (symbolic of both routes). The End! (Whaddya' think?)
That is a neat idea. Maybe the player's choice could even influence their rival. The rival is a bit undecided until that point and decides to take the opposite path from there on, tilting more towards blue or red afterwards. Maybe that slightly determines how they help you against the evil team, defeating trainers for you or creating a less confrontational shortcut.
Bitzibaerlie That's a really awesome idea, too! Perhaps the Evil team is a bit like Team Buddy, at least in the ways of trying to control emotions and such! Maybe the Rival picks the left Path, and it influences his team from then on, and a few of his general mannerisms. While the right path would do the same, but in a much more explosive and volatile way!
I always wished Pokémon games involved a bit more decision making and a slightly customisable story. That is why I always liked the interviews in RSE and watching the in-game TV. It does not have to be much, just a few different quotes depending on your actions, a different battle, a different Pokémon in your rival's team. Your gym is a good example for something that would not even be difficult to implement.
I would be the first gym leader and use bug type pokemon. My gym would be inside a big cocoon and mu gym puzzle would be you guys walking through a spider web maze and if you walked on the web you would be sent back to the beggining. It would not be a hard or big puzzle since i am the first gym leader but it would be somthing. I would have to trainers in my gym. Bug catsher Tim -lv 8 Metapod -lv 9 Beedrill School kid Mari -lv 8 Kakuna -lv 9 Buterfree Gym leader me -lv 10 chargabug -Charge -Bugbite -Harden -lv 12 Vivleon - Gust - Roost - String shot - Bug bite I would give you the tm Bug bite
#1, THERE IS NO S IN CATCHER! #2, THERE SHOULD BE 2 T'S IN BUTTERFREE! #3, THERE SHOULD BE A J IN CHARJABUG (THE NAME IS NOT SPELLED WITH A G)! #4, IT'S VIVILLON, NOT VIVLEON!
There are two ways I’d go for my Gym: First way would be a Steel type gym in a corporate building. It would be at the top floor, and I’d actually be the owner (I’d be th Gym Leader). The layout would be maze-like, (A 4X4 area, at minimum for noe) and you’d have to go around different sections, and finding parts of Gear that opens the way to me. In those sections, there’s not only scientists behind glass, there’d be a few that challenge you. Each section is a simulated area, which includes Steel, and another type based on the area. My team consists of different pokemon used, and my Ace, which isn’t from those used. Gym Leader Taris’s Team: Ferroseed: Lvl 36 [Iron Barbs] Pin Missile, Gyro Ball, Seed Bomb, Payback) Magneton: Lvl 38[Sturdy] (Discharge, Mirror Shot, Tri Attack, Light Screen) Lairon: Lvl 38 [Rock Head] (Protect, Iron Head, Rock Tomb, Take Down) Aegislash: Lvl 40 [Iron Head, Shadow Sneak, Slash, Aerial Ace] My Gym Leader design would be a fancy entrepreneur, with a black shirt, dress jeans, and a gray tie. When I’m battling, I wear a Dark Gray Trench Coat, Dark Blue Cavalier Hat(W/Gray Feather, as well as a Gear-Shaped rim), and a Scepter with a Premier Ball (Where my ace is) alongside the other set of clothing. My badge would be the Cog Badge, and I would give the TM for Iron Head. My second Idea would for me to be a Dark type Gym Leader. When you enter the gym, you just find a platform with a Lever on top. When you interact with it, the lights go out. Once you step back outside, the town becomes completely different, and you must go through it battling the trainers(Called Mystics) till you reach a tower where I’ll be waiting. *P.S, the town’s structure is similar to Ecrutreak City, and you can hit the switch again when you want to go back to happiness* Gym Leader Eclipse’s Team: Pawniard: Lvl 36 [Defiant] (Night Slash, Metal Claw, Slash, Scary Face) Honchkrow: Lvl 38 [Super Luck] (Wing Attack, Sucker Punch, Night Slash, Taunt) Scrafty: Lvl 39 [Moxie] (High Jump Kick, Sucker Punch, Crunch, Swagger) Drapion: Lvl 40 [Battle Armour, Sitrus Berry] (Poison Fang, Knock Off, Night Slash, Ice Fang) My design would be a Reaper-Like person, with a Scythe housing my Ace’s Pokeball. When defeated, I’ll give the Vessel Badge, as well as the TM for Night Slash. That was long, but I hope you like the idea...And if Mr. Buddy sees this, hope he likes it, too. I mean like it, not giving it a like...I mean, it would help, but still.
I'd be a Leader with good connections with the Aether Foundation. My gym would be a conservation area where I care for Pokémon. Gym Trainers would be Aether Grunts and "Disbanded" Skull Grunts/"Punk Kids". There are also WILD Pokémon in my gym that can be caught AFTER you beat me. I'd specialize in Steel types. And my badge would be the "Paradise Badge", and I'd give you the TM for Iron Defense. (or Smart Strike)
I would have a ghost or ice Type with a snowy dark forest vibe with a scary cabin in the middle of the gym you enter and you see me sitting wits cup of coffee and drawing or on my laptop and look and my design looks very casual unlike my grunts who look like close figures and my badge would be a little ghost 👻 design and my team would be a mistivious weviel and forlass I imagine I would be the seventh or eighth gym leader and always have musscivous floating around my shoulder
I’m really into magic and fantasy. I love the legend of Zelda. So I think Fairy type would fit well. Also some of my favorite Pokémon are fairy type so that works out nice! The entire gym would be based on a fantasy world. With it changing from a more town like place to a more magical forest like place. The puzzle is that you have to travel through the gym finding keys to unlock a gate. Like what you do in Legend of Zelda. There are multiple keys. Some unlock items or extra trainers. But only one unlocks the “boss door”. Behind there I would be waiting for you! I’d be wearing a magical princess dress or maybe a fairy costume or something. I’d be one of the later gyms, probably the sixth. And my Pokémon would be Sylveon (Level 33), Alolan Ninetails (level 34) And my signature Pokémon would be Gardevoir (Level 36). After you defeat me you get the Magic Badge. And (since theres only one fairy type TM) TM99 Dazzling Gleam.
Tbh my ideal gym has already been taken by skyla (being surrounded by planes, and flying types) So for an alternative flying type gym, i thought it would be cool to have it based around steampunk blimps and flying machines, gym forcing you to finish a puzzle where you go into a blimp, and go through a set of other airships to find the "mothership" and its control room, where the leader stands and waits for battle Some obstacles youd face are other puzzles based on balloons, and other airships My team would be Archeops, the ace Drifblim And Murkrow Not sure about the levels The leader would be themed very steam-punk esque with old-timey clothes, but a pair of metal wings strung between the arms. The outfit would be dressed with copper feathers The Tm i would give is Sky Drop for no real reason except it suits it best And as a little extra, youd be able to find an air balloon item hidden outside the gym (Edit) shoot i forgot a badge, it would be shaped like a gear with a small propeller on the inside It would appropriately be called the Prop badge
I don’t really like making things about myself, but this sounds fun, so I’ll do a quick bit of me! My gym would be a Grass-type gym themed heavily over manga/library cafes. Inside the forefront gym is a huge library, with all kinds of books and tips inside, if you take the time to look through all of it. I imagine that it would be mostly beginning knowledge, since I see myself as maybe the second gym leader. It has a forest aesthetic, with lots of natural lighting, and several trees growing out of the floor of the gym serving as circular bookshelves. There’s small reading areas scattered around this part of the gym, with peaceful NPCS who give more knowledge from the books they’re reading. Several give you tips on what to use against me and what to watch out for. When you’ve had your fill of knowledge you can head to the back, to a giant counter carved from a massive root, where a librarian grunt stands. They greet you and offer a guide of where certain kinds of books are located. They also ask if you’re here for a gym battle with ‘The Head Librarian.’ When you say that you are, you’re taken to the back and into a door. There, you come into a small, naturally lit room with three bookshelfs at the front. Three books on each shelf stand out. A table sits in the middle with another book. It gives you a ‘What/Who Am I?’ Type riddle, and you have to find the book with the best answer. It will likely contain easy-to-guess references from other Pokémon games. If you interact with the right book, the shelf will swing open to let you inside. If you don’t, the shelf will swing open and a grunt will challenge you. (Usually with a comment about how you interrupted their reading.) The grunts all use low level grass types, usually from the newer generations. (BW, XY, SUMO) When you finally get past the several small rooms, you find yourself in a room filled with lamps, books, and paper. There’s also a very messy bed which has lots of blankets all over it. Suddenly, from a messy nook of papers comes bursting.... me! I apologize for the mess, and congratulate you on your intelligence on getting this far. I introduce myself as Luciano, a famous author of the region and the resident grass type leader. Before the battle, I offer to heal your Pokémon, which you can accept or deny at your leisure, for no reward or punishment. Then the battle begins! I again use low level Grass Type Pokémon, with my signature being a Snivy. I also take advantage of the move Sleep Powder. When you defeat me, I congratulate you again, and give you the TM for Sleep Powder. “I use it pretty often when I get caught up in my work and can’t sleep... oh, and it’s pretty good for battling, too!” I give you the Redwood Badge, which is shaped much like a long leaf with a red ribbon around the stem. (to represent a book mark.)
Being a massive computer nerd, I was initially thinking of electric or steel type with a digital aesthetic, but I also have a soft spot for the fairies (faeries). If legendaries were allowed, I'd definitely want my signature to be a Magearna and probably have a steal team consisting primarily of robotic pokemon like the Magnemite, Klink, and Beldum families. Exactly which ones would depend on the position in the story. I personally love the idea of a robot fairy. The only thing better is a cyborg faerie. Fun fact, I was originally planning a mono ground team for Omega Ruby and did a mono-flying run of Moon (at least until my starter died). My Ultra Moon run was going to be mono-fairy, but I got stuck on the second trial and got bored of going through the same region again.
Steel type 7th gym. Pokémon: Bisharp lvl 48 Skarmory lvl 50 Ace: mega metagross lvl 53 Location: a similar area to black city tower. How to get to the top: battle 3 trainers per floor, and also go through a maze with trivia question at the end of each maze. When you are about to get to me, you have to do a final test as you battle my skarmory in a sky battle, similar to in X/Y. After you battle me, I give you tm iron tail and an escape rope, because there’s an entrance to a cave directly behind me, for you to get out of the gym. If you don’t use the escape rope, you go through basically a mini victory road and are rewarded with 2 rare candies. That’s my gym
My Gym Idea: It would be the 4th Gym of the Region and be based around the Ghost type. The Gym would be a train, that connects two towns in the region together. The Player would hear about a Ghost type Gym in the area but wouldnt know where it is, once the player gets on the train, thinking theyre going to the next city, but be suprised when the whole train suddenly tranforms into a ghost train and starts flying into the sky. The outside would be completely dark when the player looks outside. The Player will have to make their way to the Steam Locomotive at the front, going through three cars to get there. The first car would be filled with dolls hanging from the ceiling. When the player walks forward, the see a humanoid figure standing in the shadows, telling them to find her three dolls. The Player would have to find the three dolls that move and bring them back to the girl. Then she will walk out of the shadow, angry and screaming about you being better than her. The first Battle begins. Doll Girl: Shuppet Lv 23 The Second Car has a Red Carpet on the Floor and Suits of Armor along the Walls. At the End of the Corridor is Knight, he tells the Player that theArmor has been moving on its own and that they shold mske sure that there arent any ghosts in the Armors. The Player has to look at all the Suits of Armor, but none of them do anything. Once the Player tells the Knight, he takes his Helmet off, revealing that he as been dead for a long time. The second Battle starts. Dead Knight: Honedge Lv 24 The last Car is empty, except for a little Girl sitting in the middle, crying. She will say that her crush doesnt like her back and will ask the player if they wants to play a game. Of course the Player has no choice and will have to pick out the correct outfits to look exactly like what shes wearing. When the Player did it, she will say that at first she just wanted to have her crush notice her, then she wanted to wear the same things like he, butthen she wanted to be him. The third fight begins. Crying little Girl: Mimikyu Lv 25 Now the Player reaches the Locomotive... It is empty... Then two crystal like eyes appear in the darkness and when the player looks at them, a hand will cover their eyes and a voice will say: "Please dont look into its eyes... You dont want to suffer the same fate as me..." The Gym leader battle begins. Ghost Girl Gym Leader: Yamask Lv 28 Spiritomb Lv 29 Sableye Lv 30 Once you beat the Gym Leader, you would get the Soul Badge, for helping all of the Trainers Souls to move on to the Afterlife... (That took forever to write)
Also, if you didnt notice Shuppet feeds off the bad emotions of people, thats why its with the angry, jealous girl. Honedge steas the Life Energy from people who grab its hilt, wich is why the Knight is a Zombie. Mimikyu is copying Pikachu because it wants to be noticed, just like the Girl. And Sableye steals the spirit of the people who look into its eyes, wich is why the Girl covered the Players eyes. :)
I would be a rock type gym leader with the theme of fossil Pokémon and excavation. Unlike other rock gyms, my gym would be one of the last gyms the player has to face (I'm thinking between the last one you go to, but it could work as 7th, perhaps) so the puzzle and trainers in the gym would be much more challenging. I have to say that I gave the gym an actual position in the Pokémon universe, in Lacunosa Town which is a fitting place for a late gym due to its proximity with the Victory Road and the Pokémon League. Now to the gym itself, externally it wouldn't look very impressive no more than a small building with the form of half a femur with a door, but when you enter it, an elevator can be seen as well as the guy who give you advice for the gyms, this area is decorated with fossil all over the walls while looking like a cave. When you take the elevator the player gets to the first part of the gym, a cave with excavation areas all over the walls (along with fossils) very similar to the initial area, here the player have to move around the platforms and confronting the trainers much like in Yakon (in Black and White) or Bryon gym but the player is always going down and to reach other platforms the player must cross galeries, the trainers around here have a set of Pokémon the likes of Boldore, Gigalith, Mandibuzz, Marowak, Onix, Lairon and Pupitar. Then when the player reach the lowest area possible you enter an area similar to a rocky beach where the puzzle consist to change the level of the water to advance, much like in Mananti's gym but with a rocky beach style where the platforms look like volcanic rocks. This part of the gym represents the Paleozoic and the trainers here have a set of Pokémon like Boldore, Gigalith, Kabuto, Kabutops, Lileep, Cradily, Anorith and Armaldo. This area looks like the sun is on the top of it so it gives better that impression of being in a Cambrian/Silurian/Ordovician beach. Now the berry on the cake of this area is the trainer that guards the door to the next area, this is a special boss-like trainer with an Armaldo at level 52 and a Gigalith at level 48. After the player cross that door the next area of the gym would be an ash field with a sandstorm climate that kind of represents the end of the Mesozoic, the puzzle of this part will be a set of rocks where you have to answer paleontology related and Pokémon related question (although these ones would be a little bit more dificult than Blaine's ones). If you are correct then two things could happen, or something is activated (like if you pressed a buton) or nothing happens. In this area the teams of the trainers are much more diverse consisting of Tyrunt, Tyrantrum, Amaura, Aurorus, Aggron, Pupitar, Omanyte, Omastar, Carracosta, Bastiodon, Rampardos, Boldore, and of course, Gigalith. Then at the end of this area there is another boss whose battle would be a double battle, its team will consist of Tyrantrum at level 50, Tyranitar at level 52 and two Gigalith at level 48, this boss starts the battle with Tyrantrum and one Gigalith. Then when the player pass through the last door, the area is like a JP style ressurection laboratory in which I am found sitting on a Kyurem-like throne with some ice around the floor close to it (in reference to the town legend and the ice age). This area represents the Cenozoic, as something I tell the player in the dialog is that we are still in the Cenozoic. Then the battle starts but unlike most gym battles this won't be a single battle, instead it will be a rotatory battle if you play the Black edition and a triple battle if you play the White edition. My team will consist of: Tyranitar (sand stream) level 50: Sandstorm Rock slide/Stone edge Earthquake Crunch Aggron (rock head) level 50: Sandstorm Iron head Rock slide Double edge (Shell bell) Archeops level 46: Sandstorm Stealth rock Stone edge Roost Bastiodon level 51: Toxic Rest Curse Rock slide (Sitrus berry) Gigalith (sturdy) level 51: Stone edge Curse Earthquake Gyro ball (Leftovers) Aerodactyl level 55: Rock slide Crunch Giga impact Sandstorm (Aerodactylite) When you finally are able to take down my last Pokémon I give you the TM sandstorm and I comment that not only will it damage Pokémon that aren't steel, rock or earth type but that will also increase in a 30% the special defense of the rock type Pokémon that are in the field.
That is quite an elaborate idea. I really like it. It is very ambitious for a gym, but I would love Pokémon to do a Victory Road in that style. And it would be an interesting twist if the last gym is actually part of the Victory Road.
Well, I was thinking of each part being rather small, more or less as extense as the first few gyms so it wouldn't be excesively big. Now for a victory road like that, probably each part would be extended in many ways and I would change the Pokémon the trainers have because there wouldn't be a type exclusive thing. So Pokémon which aren't rock type but are somewhat prehistoric related like Serperior or Torterra referencing some legless lizard evolution and giant tortoises for example, as well as Yanmega or Flygon in reference to the griffinflies would be included were they do fit. I would also have included an area referencing the cenozoic other than the gymleader area, probably an ice puzzle area or perhaps a jungle with those directional things that appear in the team rocket base and another small boss with a triple/rotatory battle depending of your edition (the one the leader doesn't use) but yeah fusing the last gym and the victory road could make for an interesting challenge. More so if the victory road continues after you beat the gymleader, although I have to say that the victory roads are amazing dungeons almost always which I enjoy a lot. Some of my favourites are the Kalos (if it weren't so easy to defeat the trainers but that's a generalized problem), the Unova (the B/W one), Sinnoh and Hoenn ones. The Kanto and B2/W2 one is great too, I think the only ones that aren't that interesting are the Jotho one and the Alola one (al least in S/M) but Alola makes up for the canyon there is before the legendary and Jotho for mount silver which also is an amazing dungeon in a similar manner to Victory Road, the only problem with Jotho truly is the lack of trainers in those dungeons, though.
I am a big fan of the Victory Roads as well. And I think your idea works even better on a larger scale. Your ideas for the Victory Road sound amazing. I am sure you have also seen the Evolution Tree videos of Bird Keeper Toby. He did almost all the work for a dungeon like that already. Which Pokémon fit where, just need to make the dungeon itself fitting.
Actually, I didn't watch those. I remember seeing his originial video explaining how evolution works so many years ago and I loved it (in fact, I think it even is in my favourite videos list), but the new series is meh, I watched Hoenn out of curiousity and got dissapointed with how he planified everything, as in fitting the Pokémon inside the real world clades. I think that due to how evolution works and that Pokémon exist in an alternative reality, the real life clades will be useless in clasification of Pokémon, instead the Pokémon should be classified inside their own clades. I defend the idea of the existence of real animals inside the Pokémon world, of course I don't think that there is any vertebrate or something really big and impressive but since Pokémon seem to fill the niches of more complex animals but not the ones more simple animals occupie, things like jellyfish, sponges or parasitic worms could exist in the Pokémon world. This along with the idea that Pokémon are a completely diferent clade than animals in a kingdom level as well as that I don't perceive Pokémon as the equivalent to animals in the real world, makes classifing Pokémon based of their real life inspiration a very bad idea. I don't know if he used this methodology in all the series but a dungeon that have a giant puzzle all over it is a great idea, in fact there are some like that already. The ice dungeons usually do that concept with the ice puzzles and as such I love those. Coincidentaly, regular dungeons also have some puzzles regarding boulders and strengh like the Kanto Victory Road, but usually caves are just laribythns which is fine because they are usually massive and there are other dungeons that work with puzzles, like the evil team base of each game (except, perhaps the Alola ones), the powerplants that are accessible to the player and such. Perhaps I didn't like Alola that much because of the lack of dungeons, puzzles and dificult trainers. The trials weren't a good substitute of gyms for me, honestly. Some of them were jokes, other lineals and the challenges rarely involved a gym-styled puzzle. I hope gyms come back in generation 8, and I mean gyms that are challenging and don't depend on luck like Surge's gym, I hate that gym.
@@Ditidos (Sorry, only just saw this comment) I can certainly see your problems with Toby's videos. Especially when you consider egg groups, his model falls short. As a layman on that topic I still find his approach interesting. I totally agree on the puzzles. One of my favourite gyms is the Sootopolis one, especially in Gen III. I also fondly remember trying to figure out the Braille puzzle for the Regi trio. Alola really had nothing to offer in that regard. Closest would probably be the RR episode in USUM.
My first idea after seen the first video was a gym that look like a forest in fall/autumn and it will be a fire gym, i think around 5-ish and my team will be Pansear, Darmanitan and my ace Infernape. The TM i will give will be fire punch and my bagde will look like a maple leaf with a fire pattern.
my gym would fit more of a theme instead of a type but: it’s a tourist equine center- using ice, ground and normal types! I kinda want that region to be based around the mountain regions of the Pocanoes and the Appalachian Mountains. I grew up around the Pocanoes, and i love horseback riding, especially on the mountains. It would probably revolve around a trainer picking a rental pokemon, similar to the Battle Factory, to ride and battle with instead of one pokemon on their team. The choices would be: - Rapidash - Gogoat - Zebstrika The puzzle would revolve around the trainer riding around on their pokemon and climbing up snowy hills and battling trainers until they reach me. My team would consist of: - Taurus - Mudbray - Aurorus My badge would be the Journey Badge, it would look like a horseshoe shaped sunrise over top of two snowy mountains, and i’d give out the TM for Mega Kick- like how a horse kicks for self defense
A ghost-type Hikikomori-eque gym leader with Level 19 Misdreavus, Level 20 Lampent and Level 21 Banette. The gym would be an old, semi-abandoned building where all but one appartaments are empty and you can find there only bulglars and deliquents, obviously ready for a battle. The only appartament that is still in "official" use obviously is where gym leader is living, but the door to it is locked so you need to find a key in that maze-like, dark building. After finding the leader and defeating him, you will get a Lock Badge and Shadow Claw TM.
(This is about the canon team videos, but I did it on this since it was more recent) I would like to note that technically red got all the pokemon starters due to the fact that they were all gifts. And while I do like seeing your team b ideas, I would think they would actually only keep their original starter instead of getting all three somehow (but I do like seeing your team b teams)
Sounds like a nice place to go cool off and hang out, if you don’t mind the occasional spray of water from a trainer who couldn’t aim. I myself would rather use my “villain” character since the backstory I gave her on a different video suggested she might become a Gym Leader for another region if she and some of her grunts are accepted. I don’t have a lot of details right now, but I can imagine her as the first Gym Leader for a region. Her gym can be a daycare for children and young Pokémon where, much like Cheren was in Pokémon White or Black 2, she takes care of and teaches those who come to her Gym. The front portion of the gym even works exactly like a functional daycare while the actual gym portion is in a garden in the back. Because this is new Trainers’s first Gym challenge, there aren’t any crazy puzzles, just a simple flower hedge maze. There are only two Gym Trainers, whom used to be my teams’s grunts, and the first one uses a red Flabébé and Azurill while the second uses a blue Flabébé and a Ralts. You could pass them without battling them easily, sure, but defeating them and talking to them afterwards will have them tell you that I prefer double battles and that you should get ready for one. Not a big surprise anymore since I’m typing it here, but it will definetly be for whoever decides to challenge me blindly. At the white ivy-decorated gazebo, or whatever that outdoor cicular structure is called, you will find me, my back to you as I am trying to put together either a drawing or writing piece (this can be dependant on the version like black or white). After a brief cry of frustration due to my creative block, the Pikachu in front of my notices you and gets my attention by jumping up and down. Noticing my Pikachu, I ask what’s the matter before turning in my seat and facing you. I am surprised I hadn’t noticed you, but happy that you have arrived since I could use a battle to destress myself. Pikachu jumps up and cheers as I get up and walk down the steps to face you. I snicker a little and thank you before the battle when Pikachu jumps up and latches onto my shoulder. As soon as he’s on, the battle begins. If you were expecting Pikachu to fight you’re wrong. Instead, I send out a Milcery and Flabébé to fight. They buff one another with Helping Hand while lowering your stats, but overall don’t do very much attack-wise except for non-stab moves like Vine Whip and Tackle. Honestly, only the fact that this is probably your first double battle on this journey is the hard part. After I am defeated, I note the bond you are forming with your Pokémon and how well you coordinated them despite the surprise double battle. I them reward you the Whimsy Badge, which looks like a white Floette flower as a pin, but with a pink gradient on the petals of the flower. I then tell you that should you find yourself in another double battle then the TM I have would be perfect for just about any supporting Pokémon and I give you the Helping Hand TM. Upon seeing your somewhat dissappointed face, I realize that it would not be useful in single battles and promise to have a gift for you after I finish my latest idea. You end up leaving me to draw or write again while my Gym Trainers escort you out back to the daycare school area. They thank you for helping me get my creativity back and each hand you a Sweet Heart, saying that the kids and their Pokémon helped make them for Trainers who defeat the Gym Leader. They then bid you with their charges fond farewells and wish you luck on the next Gym Challenge. Depending on whether or not I can help advance or is integral to the journey’s plot story, I will eventually meet up with you again, maybe to give you something like a ticket on a cruise ship you need to get on or a TM or Ride Pokémon to help you get through an obstacle. If not, I suppose I could just give you some revives or a PokéDoll instead after you complete the second Gym. Should you decide to challenge me after you become Champion... Well, let’s just say that you be glad then I hadn’t used “Pikachu” at the start~! ^w^
I don’t know about my puzzle or design of the gym and trainers there, but here’s my team; (also I’d be around the 6th gym, and a psychic type one) Lv. 33 Metang Bullet Punch Rock Slide (for bug and fire types) Zen Headbutt Reflect Idek if this is too OP, but here goes Lv. 35 Gardevoir Psychic Draining Kiss Thunder Wave (huehuehue) Reflect and my best, Lv. 36 Gallade with a sitrus berry Psycho Cut Toxic (lol) Shadow Ball Close Combat I’d give out the quotient badge which looks like a square root sign, as I am quite the nerd. Also, I give the TM for Reflect.
What would you guys be like as Pokemon Gym Leaders?
(Also, you get one of my badges for free if you know the 20 Characters hanging out in my gym!)
Elijah Pointer damn i had a dragon type lol

Well, that took 40 minutes to type. Hope you guys liked my idea!
Dang, props to the amount of detail.
Sushi Roll I love your idea!
like the idea but I feel like its way to long probably the leader being on 5th floor would be best
Here's the thing, though, what if it isn't just a cameo? What if it actually holds importance in the Mr. Buddy Cinematic Universe?
PokeGeek425 *removes sunglasses* Mother of Arceus... 😲 how could I have been so blind? 😱

*gasp* Mr. Buddy loved my comment! This must MEAN SOMETHING!

MY DUDE You're onto something here!! *insert x-files theme music here*
But, the only question left is: WHAT is the meaning?!
I like the inclusions of your OCs from your MBCU, nice easter egg. 👍
My team would consist of:
Cherrim, lvl 40
Spinda, lvl 41
Trevenant, lvl 41
Scolipede, lvl 43.
I would give out the vineyard badge, and give the tm for dizzy punch
Loved the video. Keep up with the amazing content!
This sounds like an amazing idea! I'm willing to ignore alcohol in a kids game simply because of how unique this gym is.
You could also incorporate Dark-Types, because drinking
Would you say that you hit the jackpot with this idea? 😀
For your gym, I hope the code is randomized per play through so people don't just skip the puzzle
Benedict J. Not OP, even as an 8th Gym, a good water type would destroy that. Or any Ice type.
EM11212 ok thats cool
You'd probably want to add a 4th Pokemon that wouldn't be 4x weak to ice. Maybe MegaZard x? Or another Dragon type.
My team would be
Ghastly lvl 10
Litwick lvl 12
Rotom lvl 14
After you beat me you would get the Tm for willow wisp, the trickster badge , and a mysterious key.
dracoknight ! What is the mysterious key used for?
I’m not sure about levels, but my team would be an Aegislash/Doublade, a Pumpkaboo, and a Lampent as my signature Pokémon, which would tie into the second gym:
If you enter the theatre through the back door, you’d enter the backstage area, where you’d battle through the various backstage crew members, who are fire-type trainers (insert jokes about fire in a theatre here-that was kind of the point), all the way up to the Stage manager, who is the other gym leader, and related somehow to the writer/star and uses a Vulpix, a Feltchinder, and a Houndour/Houndoom as their signature Pokémon.
Not sure about the TM, though. Hadn’t given that much thought. But yeah: that’s my gym(s).
Yeah slather me with those improved videos baby
sir this is a waterpark not a brothel
@@ploppityploppity5611
Not if the water is your lover. 🌊
Ahh, finally! I love your ideas so much!
*sees Team Skull*
Me: Finally Team Skull is represented in the right way!!!!!!
Is the blue hair team skull member dabbing?
Gmankule yes and it’s beautiful lol
*piers theme intensifies*
My gym-
Type- fairy
General theme- a giant Forrest maze that leads to a clearing with a stage for performances and battles on it. Outdoor theatre
Trainer classes: fairytale girls, rising stars, ace trainers, all using the actor trainer class.
All the pokemon know sound based moves
My team: carbink, whimsicott, and wigglytuff.
And what I imagine to be the TM for play rough
"Fairies aren't all fluff and cute. They can also raise a bit of hell, and sometimes a good hell raiser and stir the world up for the better."
Pretty good idea
Michael Klump we had alder calling his buffolant a swear name, I'm sure it could work out.
What pokemon would you use?
IT'S SYLVEON, NOT SLYVEON!
This would be the first or second gym, so the gym grunts are
Arcade Gamer Marlon
Voltorb: Level 12
Arcade Gamer Landon
Plusle: Level 11
Once you get through the maze, I congratulate you and flip another switch, which raises us up to the balconies and makes a Pokémon battlefield appear.
Gym Leader Stars
Pikachu: Level 14
Shinx: Level 15 (signature Pokémon)
You defeat me and I give you the Bolter Badge, a badge that has an arcade cabinet on top of a big lightning bolt.
TM Thunderbolt obtained!
I liked the fact that you stuck with your original concept and improved on it making it very unique and fun to go to. In my opinion a gym leader doesn't have to be challenging to be a memorable one, as well as the gym doesn't have to be over the top to leave an impression~
So I've had a bit of time to figure out what I would be as a gym leader and whatnot, since discovering this bandwagon I'm late to viewing lol, I hope you like what I have to show (plus I am super proud of myself for what I've created =v=).
When you talk to him he says "Don't let all that pink fool you into relishing sweet victory right away!"
The first floor of the gym you have to deal with a maze of customers trying to order food or get to their tables, coming or leaving, etc.. On this floor you have to fight waiters and waitresses who will inquire you about some things such as dessert flavors and ascetic choices. (You can also buy food related healing items here or food items for whatever Pokemon refresh style feature they'd have in the game.)
The second floor if this giant kitchen where you fight chefs and cooks.
(Also baking/cooking puns and talk because I'm terrible like that heh~)
When you talk to me I will say "You think you've had a taste of what's to come? (And it's a minor aesthetic but they're all in Love Balls.)
When you defeat me I say "Defeat is a flavor that's not easy to swallow, but I will consume it with the best of dignity I can muster. And while you're at it, take this as well~ It's TM 21 Play Rough." (I know it's not a TM but I could be in future games, and 21 is my favorite number.) "Play Rough is a fairy type move that also has the chance to lower your opponents attack."
This isn't the strongest team for this typing and I know we've already had a restaurant styled gym before, but I love to bake and cook, and have been told I'm damn good at it, plus I like alienating people with the color pink~ ;P But I hope you like the hot pink mess that is this gym and I hope you can see the work I've put into it~! ^w^
I like your gym concept and I do not even like cake. :D
Pokémon wasted the restaurant idea, in my opinion.
Oh, and how rude of me! What would be your gym and whatnot~?
so i have close to 25 written gym ideas but i think i’ll go with my favorite.
a 5th gym specializing in the poison type, it’s general theme is thornbushes and trying to navigate through a maze of them. if you touch the thorns one of your pokémon will be poisoned except steel and poison types of course. the trainers would have levels around 25-28 and would appear from well hidden spaces in the maze using pokémon like skorupi, roselia, and nidorino/nidorina. finally as you enter a clearing in the maze you will see me sleeping in a hammock suspended between to trees. once you flip me out of the hammock i stumble and have to gain my composure. soon after i say, sort of angrily, “well, now that you so peacefully woke me from my amazing nap, i guess we should battle.....” and the battle begins.
my pokémon:
whirlipede:
level:29
moves:poison jab
steamroller
rollout
iron defense
ability:poison point
seviper:
level:29
moves:poison jab
night slash
bulldoze
glare
ability:shed skin
nidoking
level:31
moves:poison jab
drill run
fire punch
rock slide
ability:poison point
after you obviously beat my poison type team, i sigh and say “well this battle was a massive thorn in my side, but here, take this and leave” i proceed to give you tm 84:poison jab and the thorn badge. afterwards i hop back into my hammock and hopefully you leave.
so i hope that isn’t a terrible gym idea, but honestly i have no idea.
Cool!
Great video! Would love to know more about that Oasis themed gym idea :D
Would be a great idea for an "what if Egypt was a Pokemon region?"
As for the team, I'm going with the following:
Bronzor, level 34.
Doublade, level 37.
Scizor, level 41.
(Give or take a few levels depending on gym number and the general scaling of the region. If adding a fourth member to the team, drop in a Metang between Doublade and Scizor.)
An additional idea I had was "what if there was a post game thing where you get to fight all the gym leaders 'at full power'?" similar to the fighting dojo of HG/SS.
For that, the team is as follows, with a bit of a theme:
Bronzong. "The ceremonial bell of classical times"
Aegislash. "The medieval knight"
Empoleon. "The early modern ruler" (this one's a stretch)
Magnezone. "The industrial revolution" (could also be a Klinklang)
Metagross. "The WW-era tank"
Scizor. "The mechanically enhanced body of the future" (it's the only one here that gained the steel type during evolution)
I see what you did with the Team Buddy cameo. Nice job!
When people like you come up with better ideas than Game Freak lol
OMG!!! This is a good one!!
The more I look at the image of your gym, the better it gets. Water is my favorite type as well, great video of course.
As always, I love the art in these videos. It really gives us a clear idea of what you have planned. The artists are sooo talented!!
I believe it would go like this: Bottom Maze
Bug Catcher Tyler: Lv. 31 Swadloon
Lass Linda: Lv. 29 Sewaddle, Lv. 29 Steenee
Youngster Mick: Lv. 28 Poppeace, Lv. 30 Nuzleaf
Top Maze
Hiker Rupert: Lv. 29 Ferroseed, Lv. 29 carrobage
Aroma Lady Gabby: Lv. 28. Cherokin, Lv. 30 Sombloom
Finally, there's me.
Love this idea! So much imagination :)
I think it'd be cool to have a movie theatre gym I just don't know what type would go with that.
I would have a lv 35 Sawsbuck, a lv 38 Breloom, and a lv 40 Venusaur as my main
My gym would be out in the woods and I would be a guy hanging out in the country with a bunch of friends that love being outside.
Dino World its not impossible to have a starter as a gym leader, I swear gardenia had turtwig! TURTWIG!!
I’m gonna be honest. I thought you were gonna do a gym based on Team Buddy
I legit wanted to tbh! I just felt like it was better to leave Team Buddy to being evil in their own videos and then do a gym that's not so connected to them (sort of haha)
Mr Buddy Aw buddy you don’t fail to disappoint me
I'd have a fairy/ghost/dark type gym set in a cozy-looking mansion that...
Loved the video! and now I want a real Pokemon theme water park!
There are cameos from other videos and official pokemon games.
Cynthia ( top right )
Team buddy leader ( bottom right )
Guzma ( bottom left )
Dabbing team skull grunts ( on yellow slide )
I would be the third gym leader. My gym would be an ice type gym, that's theme is a maze with three levels, where you go down go get to me. My team would be a level twenty Cubchoo, a level 23 Swinub, and level 29 Glaceon.
Such a great idea. Love this!
Huh, that is very similar to my own idea, which I commented here:
"I would have a normal type gym in the form of an orphanage, where I bring orphaned children together with orphaned Pokémon. I would be an early gym with Furret or Noctowl as my ace, Minccino, Deerling, Eevee and Teddyursa and give out the TM for Return. My badge would be a bit Rorschach-y with two people or Pokémon holding hands. A naughty, rash or bold Pokémon may have been scolded for eating all the food, for example."
bitzibaerlie I suppose great minds think alike lol
(The picture looks great, and I also am feasting my eyes on a certain trainer and her Garchomp on top of the tower
:3
Lol I was in your Livestream when you talk about this
I would probably be a very lazy Normal type gym leader, with a Slaking, a Gumshoos and a Ditto.
I hope Slaking is your ACE
I'm working on a whole video for this I mean I was already going to so might as well say here (alphagallad) plz don't judge me
I would probably want to be a psychic and fighting type, and would love for it to be a double gym, like Tate and Liz, but unlike them, my co-leader would be a fighting type trainer. I think this duality works really well, and the duality of it could even be tied to the main plot, and linked to the cover legendaries
P.S.: Really nice vid buddy!
What do you think the names of the games should be ?
The Flygononinator idk, I just thought of it as I wrote. Its still a work in progress
3:34 the guy on the water with the Houndoom looks like Antonio from the "If Italy was a pokemon region" video
Type: Ghost
Theme: Ghost train, since I love levels with that theme in games
Design: it would be a gauntlet of trainers, but in battle a bunch of different things could happen, since a horde of ghosts & monstrosities attacking the train, such as the lights going out, decreasing every Pokémon's accuracy, or it getting hit by one of these spirits, causing either you or the opponent to flinch.
My team: once you reach the conductor's cabin, you fight me, I have a haunter (lv. 39), a bannette (lv.40), a new Pokémon from this gen (lv. 41) and my signature, a mimikyu (lv. 43) this would be a fifth or sixth gym.
THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE N IN BANETTE!
I can't get over the fact that the Team Skull grunts going down the Pika slide are dabbing.
I would create a water type gym even though I'm actually not a fan of the ocean or swimming pools or anything like that. I just like water pokemon haha.
I see some special Vikings in the background :3
XD
After you beat me, you'd get the Data (or Holo?) Badge, which'd give you the fourth key to the conduit to go to the electric pokemon terrarium downstairs (like PKMN Colosseum's gym), where you could work with breeders and researchers to get exclusive pokemon like the Thor Honedge or Alolan Geodude. Or at least, that's the string of ideas I came up with. XD Hope you liked reading my word wall. : )
THERE SHOULD BE 2 N'S IN DEDENNE!
my gym would be a poison type
probably 5th-6th gym
theme status conditions and hiking of sort with three chambers. the first would be a volcano like are with the first trainer with a salandit withwill o wisp you'd have to avoid lava bubbles a burn satus. the second would be an abandoned tower where you just have to avoid falling with the trainer having a haunter who would have hypnosis , and the final a forest like area which uses vines to avoid marsh areas with the trainer having a weepingbell and zubat which would have poisoning moves. my team would be a level 30 salandit 31 victreebell and a 33 crobat with status moves.
finally my badge would be of a rainbow full heal and I would give you the tm for toxic
THEY ALREADY HAVE A RAINBOW BADGE IN CELADON CITY!
I swear i made a gym that was JUST like this about a year before this was released. Except the water guns.
So we've seen redesigns or rather alternative takes on Hilda(White) and Hau, wonder who's next...
That's a coincidence, I watched your original version of this yesterday and was wondering if you would update it
*X-FILES THEME*
Fire type gym
Incinerator room or ironworks theme
Puzzle: 9 workers in identical fire protective suits are walking around the gym and 3 of them have buttons that turn of the flamethrowers blocking the main lever, turning the lever will turn the giant incinerator at the end of the room off revealing me, the gym leader inside.
My team:
Darumaka: level 20
- Incinerate
- fire fang
- rollout
- headbutt
Houndour level 20
- incinerate
- bite
- ember
- roar
Monferno level 22
- incinerate
- fire punch
- Mach punch
- thunder punch
Houndoom level 24
- incinerate
- thunder fang
- nasty plot
- pursuit
Rewards:
Pokémon up to level 40 will obey you
Can use strength outside of battle
TM59 incinerate
Thermal badge (looks like a thermometer) badge 3
Man this is awesome! But I gotta say two things, what if the trainer rematches you, and now hear me out on this… villain organization
Now I want a Misdreavus as a pet. :D
You should. Because Misdreavus is amazing and adorable.
3:17
Woah, I just realized how many references there is.
I love the art of the Gym, so many easter egg characters.

Lvl 26 Braixen
Lvl 26 Litwick
Lvl 28 Alolan Marowak
A "witchy" themed gym located in a town with many berry trees/ berry master.
(keep in mind these trainers would use fakemon as well as non-water types based on animals found at aquariums)

After answering a question, a gate unlocks somewhere in the gym, allowing you to progress.

After my inevitable defeat, I'd remark about how my suspicions would be correct, and tell you to head straight for the league. Handing over the Sapphire badge and the TM for waterfall
(just gonna quickly explain the fakemon)
Baskaiser
An ocean blue, pure water type basking shark with an ability called filter feed, essentially a water type sap sipper where both defences are raised when hit by a water type move
Cosmoceras
A pure psychic type octopus with a gelatinous, space-resembling body, it's ability is technician
Morasuvius
A water/fire type pseudo-legend.
My team consist of
Hawlucha
Toxicroak
Blaziken/Kommo-o
Lucario
Gallade (Mega Evolution if possible)
After you defeat me the last dialouge choice appear and CUT!!! The acting session ended. And i mmediately go to the editing room and come back to applaud you beating me "BUT!!! These scene(s) need further improvement, pls redo them ^^(Example: scene 1 need improvement meaning you have to battle the 1st trainer) i won't give you gym badge and TM Close Combat until you pass the mark of 6/10 (Just hope you didn't get the finale wrong Hahaha) .Coz the elite 4 will be so difficult so you need all the training you can get
The implementation will be quite hard coz some of you as a player just want to get the last badge and be done with it.
(The LEFT gym trainers would specialize in Dragon and Water Types)
Right, on the other hand (badum-tish!) would have a puzzle all about breaking through the correct obstacles, until you face me! (The RIGHTS gym trainers would specialize in Dragon and Fire Types)
After either puzzle, you would arrive in my rather simplistic battlefield.
P.S. I really love your gym idea, and I look forward to more from you!
Bitzibaerlie
That's a really awesome idea, too!
Thank you for the kind words!
And, yeah, I totally get what you're saying.

There are two ways I’d go for my Gym:
First way would be a Steel type gym in a corporate building.
Gym Leader Taris’s Team:
Ferroseed: Lvl 36 [Iron Barbs] Pin Missile, Gyro Ball, Seed Bomb, Payback)
Magneton: Lvl 38[Sturdy] (Discharge, Mirror Shot, Tri Attack, Light Screen)
Lairon: Lvl 38 [Rock Head] (Protect, Iron Head, Rock Tomb, Take Down)
Aegislash: Lvl 40 [Iron Head, Shadow Sneak, Slash, Aerial Ace]
My Gym Leader design would be a fancy entrepreneur, with a black shirt, dress jeans, and a gray tie.
*P.S, the town’s structure is similar to Ecrutreak City, and you can hit the switch again when you want to go back to happiness*
Gym Leader Eclipse’s Team:
Pawniard: Lvl 36 [Defiant] (Night Slash, Metal Claw, Slash, Scary Face)
Honchkrow: Lvl 38 [Super Luck] (Wing Attack, Sucker Punch, Night Slash, Taunt)
Scrafty: Lvl 39 [Moxie] (High Jump Kick, Sucker Punch, Crunch, Swagger)
Drapion: Lvl 40 [Battle Armour, Sitrus Berry] (Poison Fang, Knock Off, Night Slash, Ice Fang)
My design would be a Reaper-Like person, with a Scythe housing my Ace’s Pokeball.
#1, IT'S MISDREAVUS, NOT MISTIVIOUS! #2, IT'S WEAVILE, NOT WEVIEL! #3, IT'S FROSLASS, NOT FORLASS! YOU NEED TO WORK ON YOUR SPELLING
Since you did a video about the England pokemon region, would you consider one set in scotland?
I’m really into magic and fantasy. I love the legend of Zelda. So I think Fairy type would fit well. Also some
of my favorite Pokémon are fairy type so that works out nice!
Tbh my ideal gym has already been taken by skyla (being surrounded by planes, and flying types)
So for an alternative flying type gym, i thought it would be cool to have it based around steampunk blimps and flying machines, gym forcing you to finish a puzzle where you go into a blimp, and go through a set of other airships to find the "mothership" and its control room, where the leader stands and waits for battle
Some obstacles youd face are other puzzles based on balloons, and other airships
My team would be
Archeops, the ace
Drifblim
And Murkrow
Not sure about the levels
The leader would be themed very steam-punk esque with old-timey clothes, but a pair of metal wings strung between the arms. The outfit would be dressed with copper feathers
The Tm i would give is Sky Drop for no real reason except it suits it best
And as a little extra, youd be able to find an air balloon item hidden outside the gym
(Edit) shoot i forgot a badge, it would be shaped like a gear with a small propeller on the inside
It would appropriately be called the Prop badge
They also ask if you’re here for a gym battle with ‘The Head Librarian.’
When you say that you are, you’re taken to the back and into a door.
(BW, XY, SUMO)
When you finally get past the several small rooms, you find yourself in a room filled with lamps, books, and paper.
I’d be an Ice type gym leader, and the theme would be like a snowy winter.
Pokémon:
Bisharp lvl 48
Skarmory lvl 50
Ace: mega metagross lvl 53
Location: a similar area to black city tower.
My Gym Idea:
It would be the 4th Gym of the Region and be based around the Ghost type.
Doll Girl:
Shuppet Lv 23
The Second Car has a Red Carpet on the Floor and Suits of Armor along the Walls.
Dead Knight:
Honedge Lv 24
The last Car is empty, except for a little Girl sitting in the middle, crying.
Crying little Girl:
Mimikyu Lv 25
Now the Player reaches the Locomotive... It is empty... Then two crystal like eyes appear in the darkness and when the player looks at them, a hand will cover their eyes and a voice will say: "Please dont look into its eyes... You dont want to suffer the same fate as me..." The Gym leader battle begins.
Ghost Girl Gym Leader:
Yamask Lv 28
Spiritomb Lv 29
Sableye Lv 30
Once you beat the Gym Leader, you would get the Soul Badge, for helping all of the Trainers Souls to move on to the Afterlife...
(That took forever to write)
Also, if you didnt notice
Shuppet feeds off the bad emotions of people, thats why its with the angry, jealous girl.
:)
2:48 Team Skull Grunts dabbing
This is really neat!
My team will consist of:
Tyranitar (sand stream) level 50:
Sandstorm
Rock slide/Stone edge
Earthquake
Crunch
Aggron (rock head) level 50:
Sandstorm
Iron head
Rock slide
Double edge
(Shell bell)
Archeops level 46:
Sandstorm
Stealth rock
Stone edge
Roost
Bastiodon level 51:
Toxic
Rest
Curse
Rock slide
(Sitrus berry)
Gigalith (sturdy) level 51:
Stone edge
Curse
Earthquake
Gyro ball
(Leftovers)
Aerodactyl level 55:
Rock slide
Crunch
Giga impact
Sandstorm
(Aerodactylite)
When you finally are able to take down my last Pokémon I give you the TM sandstorm and I comment that not only will it damage Pokémon that aren't steel, rock or earth type but that will also increase in a 30% the special defense of the rock type Pokémon that are in the field.

I can certainly see your problems with Toby's videos.
Closest would probably be the RR episode in USUM.
guzma be chillin with the golisopod at the water park
My first idea after seen the first video was a gym that look like a forest in fall/autumn and it will be a fire gym, i think around 5-ish and my team will be Pansear, Darmanitan and my ace Infernape. The TM i will give will be fire punch and my bagde will look like a maple leaf with a fire pattern.
my gym would fit more of a theme instead of a type but:
it’s a tourist equine center- using ice, ground and normal types!
The choices would be:
- Rapidash
- Gogoat
- Zebstrika
The puzzle would revolve around the trainer riding around on their pokemon and climbing up snowy hills and battling trainers until they reach me.
My team would consist of:
- Taurus
- Mudbray
- Aurorus
My badge would be the Journey Badge, it would look like a horseshoe shaped sunrise over top of two snowy mountains, and i’d give out the TM for Mega Kick- like how a horse kicks for self defense
I don’t know about my puzzle or design of the gym and trainers there, but here’s my team; (also I’d be around the 6th gym, and a psychic type one)
Lv. 33 Metang
Bullet Punch
Rock Slide (for bug and fire types)
Zen Headbutt
Reflect
Idek if this is too OP, but here goes
Lv. 35 Gardevoir
Psychic
Draining Kiss
Thunder Wave (huehuehue)
Reflect
and my best,
Lv. 36 Gallade with a sitrus berry
Psycho Cut
Toxic (lol)
Shadow Ball
Close Combat
I’d give out the quotient badge which looks like a square root sign, as I am quite the nerd. Also, I give the TM for Reflect.
