He had mold in enclosures with spring tails before tho. I did too, even with lots of air flow. No idea why or where it comes from. Sometimes it comes and goes..

The new substrate mix is so good looking! Also, I like the angle. It's cool to be able to see all the different parts of the Dark Den. And we'll be able to see how it changes and grows over time this way.

The new view of the den on camera is brilliant. If you’re able to lift the camera a bit more and have it angled slightly downwards then it won’t pick up the direct glare from the lights and will give an improved angle of the table. The sound is fine. And more Cappuccino is always welcome!
I do like this angle a lot, just the first 30 sec it looks awesome. Haven't seen you showing any of the spiders yet to see how it is but I love it so far! Just watched a little further and this angle is 100% the winner.

I just bought a new TV yesterday, upgraded from a little 32" to a HD Smart 55". This was the very first YT clip I've watched on it and it looked amazing. Love the new angle and all the spider-puppies looked incredible (even if they were a bit naughty!). :)

Hey Petko, it helps a lot to offer your spiders some hides in the rehouse tub. I usually put 2 coffee cups lying on the side in there. Makes the spiders stop bolting and hiding in an easy accassible and movable place. Might be a bit harder for filming but saves a lot of stress.

honestly i think this is the best angle so we can see how the dark den changes as time goes on. and we'll be able to see animals who aren't the focus of the video. Like, how many times did we see felix when he wasn't the focus of the video? meanwhile cappuccino and despacito got some spotlights by making noise . Definitley this new angle

I'm loving this new angle! You have a lot of space to move around now, and you could even use the wall behind the desk to mount a screen or something to aid you with recording. I feel you're right with lightning, maybe try with the ceiling lights off? I would be cool to see the Dark Den in darkness on the background with only the enclosure's lights on, like in zoo exhibits, you know? Hope you find a way to feel comfortable soon, and wow so many things in just one video, this was a busy one!

I dont comment much but myself and my wife has been binge watching your show for about a month or so now and we were both uncomfortable with spiders. Well she was terrified and this has helped both of us so much we wont ever own one but plan to move to the desert and theres a lot of terachulas (don't know if that's spelled right) out there. Your new den is awesome and the camera angle is great btw. We will definitely keep watching
@The Dark Den, the new angle is interesting. But if you can turn off the light in the ceiling during shooting. So you get the light over the desk as your only focal light together with the enclosures in the background. I think the shot might be better. So it isn't so over-exposed across the room. Then again, maybe the camera will struggle to focus?

It looks fantastic! Love the new angle. You need a wireless mic so we can hear you all the time. The best part for me is when I get to hear the noise they make when they bolt!!! Yes! Listen carefully. It is there. 😁🦂🕷⭐
I really like the new angle. It’s great, when you can see the whole place. A tip for moving around without the camera in your hands would be one of those clip on microphones you can clip onto your shirt. Those that are often used in tv shows. Edit: just watched your new video and I think a clip-on mic might also help with the other sound issues you talked about at the beginning of the video. Since it’s so close to your body, it might not even pick up the people talking outside and the sound might also not sound so “bouncy” anymore.
New angle is the best one so far imo. It's nice to be able to see so much of the room. The sound's a bit echo-ey when you're close to the camera but we can hear you from everywhere in the new DD. The echo's not really a problem though. Very minor and will likely go away as the DD fills up. Maybe in the meantime some soundproofing foam on the walls in that corner so the sound's not bouncing off them and echoing into the mic? Lighting is fine, no worries. And Cappuccino's cute as always! 😁
For feedings and rehouses you should use the old angle so we can focus on the tarantulas and for other Dark Den stuff you should use the new angle. So like working with Felix or doing something with Cappucino or Despacito or for Dark Den announcements you use the new angle.

Put some plants in the M. balfouri enclosure and hanging lights (Aquascape style). Make it a spectacle.
I find a lot of tree barks go horribly mouldy if the enclosure calls for anything remotely humid.

Mixing a small amount of Cinnamon & or Baking Soda in the Substrate can help keep mold down to some degree.

Angle is looking great! I recommend a wireless lavalier mic. You can walk around the entire den and don't have to worry about the echo.
