Hello just found your channel, I got a husqvarna 61 over the weekend. It runs and idles nice it seems a little low on power. I ran it perhaps 15 mins total befor it got too dark. I haven't looked at the cylinder. So you mentioned you would just throw some new rings in and not bother with the bigger bore? I'm not opposed to that, plus at any time I could go bigger.
First thing id do, is make sure its tuned ok.. Fairly easy to do. If its still feels lazy, might want to check compression. If its low toss a 48mm ring in it, if its scored bad, id maybe go to a 266 head.. rings are cheap about 10-15 $ if i recall..
I just remembered it probably need to be tuned up. I got it in phx AZ. Elevation of 1083' I'm in NM at 5063' so im prob leaned out I would guess??.. I dont k nm ow how to tune a saw yet but I guess it's time to learn.
