When you start an engine, it takes up to 15 seconds for the oil pressure to rise in the head, and for the top end of the engine to be lubricated. For a cold engine, this means metal-on-metal contact with no oil for up to 15 seconds.
What this means is that around 95% of all engine damage is done in the first 15 seconds after startup.
That 15 seconds means around 300 revolutions for an idling motor. 300!
And so the single most stupid thing you can do to an ICE is to start it, and rev it before the oil gets to the top of the engine. When you start an ICE, no matter whether it is cold or hot, you let it idle for at least 15 seconds before touching the throttle at all.
And if you take an engine over 3,500rpm before the engine is fully warm, you are a bloody idiot.
I don't know what made you think the engine was cold. He clearly is at a rest stop on the autobahn. You don't think he drove there to start the video and that the engine is warm?
But you can clearly see the temperature gauge is on the middle 90 or 120 degrees. Engine is warm whole time.
It takes around a second for the oil to reach the top of the engine, dummy. And ain't nobody reading the rest of your virgin rage wall of text.
Schönes Auto, nur leider zu teuer und durch die Ökosozialisten bedingt, bald nicht mehr finanzierbar im Fahrbetrieb.
Gebraucht sind die Wagen "relativ" günstig zu bekommen.
@@1q2w3e4r5t6zism Klar, solche Fahrzeuge sind einem hohen Wertverlust unterworfen. Aber der Unterhalt, der frisst einem die Haare vom Kopf. Wenn man nur die Hauptverschleissteile, wie Reifen, Bremsscheiben und -beläge, regelmäßig teures Öl, Zündkerzen usw, sieht. Und das ist das Hauptproblem: viele sehen nur den vergleichsweise günstigen Gebrauchtwagenpreis, bedenken aber nicht die hohen Unterhaltskosten. Das Geld investiere ich lieber in die Anschaffung eines gescheiten Diesels schwäbischer Bauart und spare dann bei den Unterhaltskosten, vor allem beim Sprit.😁 Ich bin kein Grossverdiener, fahre aber derzeit einen W212 350CDI Euro 6 Bj.2014 mit mittlerweile fast 400.000 km auf der Uhr. Einzig ausserplanmässig war bei 320.000 neuer Turbolader und bei 370.000 neue Lichtmaschine fällig. Viele Teile sind günstig, das ist ein Auto mit dem man bares Geld spart. Niemals werde ich mir Elektroschrott kaufen.
