Hey guys! Just a quick thank you, I am ecstatic that the channel has almost hit 400 subs, insane stuff really! Thank you all for your support over the years!
Unlike the Honda and Toyota of the same year, the Avenger is a basic car that DOES NOT use oil. My 2010 has 177k. Very clean and well maintained. It went just recently to test drive a new 2025 Chevy Trax. They offered me $1,000 on trade. You might think it's a fair price, but it convinced me to walk away from spending money. I decided that if my good ole Avenger was only worth a 1,000 bucks, it was cheap driving with cold air, decent gas mileage, power windows/locks/cruise and I installed a touch screen radio with blue tooth and back up camera. A thousand bucks....cheap driving. I've had it for four years.
I have a 2008 and the A/C Actuator does the same exact thing...mine's getting ready to turn 124,000 miles, still has the same battery that was in it when I bought it in 2012, and it's a daily driver. Once I get the rear Upper Control Arms sorted out I would definitely do a Road Trip with it...toes out a bit too much for my liking...
We had one wth 200,00. Sold it to a family member. Still going strong. I now eed a back up car. This is what i am looking for. Found one with 75,000 miles.
If Im not mistaken, you can turn the wheel to the Right all the way & the battery will come out, I think .... BUT..... slight struggle, so removing the wheel does make it a lil easier
No shade on this car, I just find that on the internet there are cars that have been made out to be more legendary than they really are. This is one of them.
Ifound one with a pesky small dent in the pass,. fender on the fender flare , of all places. ..... AND the very bottom of the front lowest part of the grill where someone hita curb or something & cracked it ...... but its an RT & supposedly runs good 3500
After driving asian vehicles i want to branch out and get an american car. I found a 2011 dodge avenger with 196k miles for 2500. Is that a good deal and what should i look for when looking at it?
I had a 2008 avenger and it was a complete piece of sh#t,worst car I've ever owned.I had the v6 engine and this guy just said it flys 😆😆 I probably could've moved faster with a mountain bike.
It's all how it's been maintained by previous owners. More than 2 owners on a carfax to me is a red flag. The more owners, the older it gets even if it started out as a good car, by owner #3 and for certain #4 and beyond they just don't take care of them. Even changing the oil. I just don't buy a used car anymore with 3 or more previous owners.
My daughter had a Dodge Journey that made that same random noise we all heard. Trouble is that thing was a money pit. And the mechanic I have been going to for over thirty years is truly honest with me and since I did my own repairs for all of those years I know when he tells me something I can trust him. But being an older person now I can no longer work on vehicles. Most of the time it is on the lift when he shows me things. But we put a lot of money into it. Gone and replaced by a Honda CRV.
@@yumad9830 That is not the noise I am talking about idiot. Wait till he changes the battery on that thing in January because Advance and Auto Zone will not. Dodge every damn one of them become money pits when they get close to one hundred thousand miles.

When you mature you will think that four cylinder is just fine.

That woodpecker really made the video
He really needs to get out of the biz!
Great car! It is pure Americana, like baseball and apple pie. A sensible car with sporty styling.

Make more videos of it if you can, also make a video of how the car horn sounds, lock, and panic sounds.
Thanks for the support! I will try to include it in my future videos.
That would make for good content doing a bleed of the brakes, trans or steering.
Awesome cars
Avenger Mainstreet = Bob Seger and Thor inside a car together

The random noise made in the video was a woodpecker.
