We show you how to make your own cabinet of curiosities using a simple shadow frame, card stock, a few spooky images, and your treasured beach finds!! You could use much cheerier images, but, as its Samhain (aka Halloween) we wanted to reflect the season!
Its a fantastic way to show off your fave beach-found treasures!

When I was young, the three of us siblings each received a shadow box made of wood with a sliding glass front. I don't remember my brother's boxes, but mine had a gold velvet backing. (Yes, it was the '70's). It was so much fun to fill it with the oddities that you come across as a child: an agate, shells, coins, antique little bell and tiny doll. And the curiosities changed every so often. It's a fun way to display the small souvenirs one finds along the way.

That was so useful seeing how to make the background and divisions, I have a shadow box sitting here right now but was unsure how to start. Yours is inspiring me to get mine done before I have to clean the dust out of it !

Reminded me of the 'Setzkasten' I had to make at art class . Your cabinet looks so nice.
