I've had a river in the drivers footwell of my 05 182 the last couple of weeks and I've tried a few things but all the text instructions on the cliosport forums are shite. Reading something about the center scuttle lead me here, the heat shield on the182 made getting to the pipe much harder, it wasn't flopping about like it was here, it was completely behind the heat shield with only a small bit visible, but i felt around near the bottom of the shielding where the pipe would end and felt the tube with a rubber one way flap on the end. Stuck my finger in it there was TONS of dirt and shite, I shoved a drain rod (flexible metal/coat hanger etc) up and down in there a few times while pouring warm water down the center scuttle grills... seemed to have cleared the fucker... If I don't comment back on this post it's sorted it cheers you legend! Just some tips for anyone else that might have a 182!
If you haven't already either dont forget to take out the plugs underneath to drain the water including the ones for the seat bolts as we had water in all of these I've got a video posted for that aswell ours has been bone dry since
@@d96toxic85 Weve just had 2 days of rain and since doing this quick fix I have had no more water in the car. I am going to make it part of my car cleaning routine now to do this every wash to make sure it doesnt happen again.
I have another video up of all the drain plugs under the car and the ones by the bolts to the seat. We have left them out and with use it has drained and dried out with the heating on as we use it daily
@@d96toxic85 Thank you I'm still learning as I passed my test a week before I got the car. I had puddles mainly on the passenger side but fingers crossed it's solved.
Thanks will try this, My A pillars near the grab handles and all the footwells are wet so assumed it was the sunroof but after resealing it I still have the problem. Really helpful, what did you use to clean the drain?
