I dunno how to feel about Engineers running onto the map to place fortifications and then retreating. I think I prefer the method of bringing engineers into the battle and then having them place fortifications by equipping them from their inventory or using an ability to place things. I do like how the fortifications work though, the communication trenches have got to be my favorite thing considering how many guys i've lost in other games that decided to jump out of trenches that are connected just to get shot when they could have taken a communication trench instead. There is a lot of negativity around this game atm but the only real problem I see with this game was the always online functionality. It's otherwise a pretty decent game.
I like the quick and easy fortification placement, because in MoW 1 & Gates of Hell, it's a hassle to place down defenses. You would have to go through
1. Find & select your engineer
2. Move your camera to where you want the defense placed down
3. Click the build button
4. Place down fortification
While in MoW 2 it gets simplified down to 3rd and 4th step. Although it would be better if I still have the ability to send in the engineer and have them act just like MoW 1 engineers.
The thing I always wanted in Gates of Hell is better trenches and fortifications. MoW2 got nice trenches
I like the trenches and building. Would love to build a huge trench system for fun like in Foxhole.

Awesome video, MOWII got unfairly reviewed bombed by the GOH idiot fan club, love that game as well, though both have their respective qualities.
Its slowly getting better as more people actually play it. Went from 51% good to 56% good.
I think it's pretty disingenuous to say that the game was "unfairly review bombed by GoH idiot fan club" considering this a men of war game people reviewed it based on it being a mow title - which this doesn't feel like. Many have stated AS2 has a more interesting game loop never mind Gates of hell.
@@iTomBass Please, the vast overwhelming majority of negative reviews and comments, GOH >MOWII, that’s all you see and hear!
I haven't played much GoH, but from what I have been seeing from the MoWII videos it honestly feels like GoH is more like older MoW titles than MoWII. I am having a hard time finding someone with an objective opinion that is a veteran of the older titles (I have been playing since the first MoW). I do have some major issues with GoH, speciaally regarding performance, but I am really unsure about the new MoWII.
@@JD-dm1uj People will always naturally compare games. So when one product does many things a lot better and is cheaper then yes they will mention it. It's not rocket science.
That however does not mean they are purposely review bombing it lol.
How do you get into test mode?
Man of war 1 there are mods for this. They just copied the code of the mods changed a few things to avoid the infringement laws and put a number 2 behind the game and sell it to us.

@HelpingHans could you share how to activate test mode? Cant find anything online or in game
Lobby, classic mode on, then check down bottom right for advanced. Should be able to select test mode from the drop down list.
what i dislike about men of war, is how easily vehicles and tanks explode, AI almost never takes cover, he just rushes with infantry and dies, the expositions look visually worse than Assault Squad 2 if Im not mistaken..

I dont know which graphic settings that are but I play it on maximum and 4k and it looks absolutely amazing. All videos on youtube look like hans his settings there. Just the snow is a bit...low.
this game got bad reviews but it looks better than Coh3.
the bad reviews are mostly for silly things; it's way better than any rts so far; it has a lot of stuff going.
love those trenches. classic mode is my mode. i didn't like the new mode, seems too arcadey to me.

You clearly haven't played Arena, Men of War II, or either of them if you can say that both games are identical...
@@SodalTheHorse You do you, man. The devs being on the consistent defense - literally responding to every review - shows they know they fucked up. They asked for feedback from the community and listened to absolutely none of it. Why ask for feedback when you eventually just say fuck off? Doesn't make sense.
@@dudeguybro This is not true at all. I quickly checked the review page and they absolute aren't responding to every review. They do however created a community post responding to concerns within the game and they also have listened to the feedbacks they have gotten in public playtests.
