I just finished ep 10, ah yes Chae Rok said to the younger son about his dad's illness, it's a good thing he told him because he can't help alone Mr Shim and we learned at ep 10 that Mr Shim's wife knew about his illness because she heard what Chae Rok said to the younger son at ep 9, i think maybe she knows when she witness Mr Shim forget something but now it's when Chae Rok said to the younger son that she knew it after that. At ep 9, Chae Rok's dad finally meet Chae Rok at his home and even slept in his house, it's great evolution, his dad didn't think to sleep at his house at first but Chae Rok propose him to sleep here. I like this evolution. And at the end of ep 9, Chae Rok's dad meet the blond guy Ho Beom, it's great Chae Rok's dad presents his excuse to Ho Beom and said to him, he can start again. Concerning Ho Beom, i like his meeting with Mr Shim at ep 10, Mr Shim encourages him and said he can wing, shine and start again. He's not old like Mr Shim and yes Ho Beom could start again, i pity him now and like him, he finally changed. For ep 10 and Mr Shim, we can see his ilness is worse now, i can understand Chae Rok is scared and afraid for Mr Shim and said to him to quit but this words are really hard to hear for Mr Shim and he still doesn't want to give up ballet so he practiced alone in a park with his son, it was so funny and sweet moment between Mr Shim and his younger son, i like it. When Chae Rok went to Mr Shim's home and saw grandma dizzy, i was scared, afraid that grandma will have an illness too and it could be really hard if Mr Shim and his wife are ill but nope. Her younger son accompagnied her and when they eat, she said to him that she knows about his dad's illness and it was hard to have this burden alone. Mr Shim visits another place, maybe an hospital for alzheimer's patient? Then he visited his friend's grave and it was late! Then his wife is worried and called Chae Rok who said there is not repair works at the studio and he didn't go practice so his wife, Chae Rok and the younger son look for him but didn't find him, that's why at the park, the younger son called the older son to tell him about his dad's illness. So maybe in the next ep, all his family will know about his illness, Eun Ho his grand-daughter will be sad and heartbroken. But i like ep 10's ending, Chae Rok tell Mr Shim to quit ballet but Mr Shim practiced and show him his dance in the street and it was so beautiful and touching, he memorized all the movement! At first, i didn't know if he could continue ballet but now, i think he could and he will continue ballet with Chae Rok so it's good and touching!
Chae-rok and Mr. Sim were so miserable without each other! I was a mess on that scene with Mr. Sim's the dick child; it was really heartbreaking. I just wish the revelation with Mrs. Sim's reaction was better shown rather than a quick flashback.
Very touching episodes this week......I'm just a puddle of tears after watching Mr. Shim dance for Chae-rok. I'm glad too that Chae-rok told Seong-gwan about his dad's condition. At first I thought he shouldn't but he needed to let someone in the family know because Chae-rok couldn't be responsible if anything happened to Mr. Shim when he was unable to look after him. He is training for a competition after all. I am glad too that we are getting a little bit more of Blondie's backstory. Chae-rok's dad wanted to make amends and I'm glad he confronted Blondie. I guess he was trying to protect Blondie by cutting him from the roster because of his blown out knee. The whole story of why he beat him and the team which caused him to be incarcerated was glossed over kinda quickly. He said he wanted to raise the team's performance and he got greedy so maybe he did it as an exercise in tough coaching because he just kept apologizing to Blondie. Well anyway, I'm glad the writers are beginning to humanize Blondie a bit more so we can all root for him again. Ms. Choi knowing about her husband is a relief too but I really don't think she can handle taking care of Mr. Shim alone. I thought when Seong-gwan offered to move back home, it was a great idea. And even though Mom checked out okay at the doctor's office, she is still kinda elderly so it wouldn't hurt to have him there to look after both of them. I don't think "Kinda a dick" guy is messing around on his wife. It is too late in the series to open up that can of worms. I kinda thought that a revelation about his health would surface because his wife noted that he looks bad and if I'm not mistaken she told him that on an episode last week. Maybe it is just his high stressed job that is making him look like that. Maybe it is an indication that he will take notice of how Eun-ho is taking a chance to find out what makes her happy and he will follow suit by quitting his job and do something else. I think too that Mr. Shim wanted to be off of the grid for a while when he went to the grave of his friend. He has a lot to contemplate after all with his condition and his ballet. Not really a good idea to have knowing that the family would be freaking out if he didn't answer his phone but it all ended up okay. So with only two episodes left, I too really hope Mr. Shim's dreams will be realized. That would be a real bummer if he didn't "get to soar". I am thinking that the last couple of episodes maybe extended because there are a lot of loose ends to tie up and an hour an episode ain't gonna do it. I am anxious to see how everyone's situations will turn out. I'm even rooting for Chae-rok's friend to reach his goals. I think he said he wanted to go to Barcelona. Anyway, as always a great recap and review TTE. See you all next week for the final 2 episodes. FIGHTING ALL THE WAY MR. SHIM!!!!
