I've followed you for your Navillera reviews since nobody seems to talk about it much here on UA-cam, which is a shame because it's one of the better-written shows in a while from Korea. It's so refreshing to watch a show that's not focused on love triangles, melodramatic illnesses arc, and angsty characters. I'm not saying that Navillera is better than the said genres, but it has a very distinct charm to it that I absolutely love! It was a cryfest. I'm not ashamed to mention that the ending made me ACTUALLY ugly sob out loud; the last time was in Violet Evergarden!
That being said, the recurring theme of second chances and pursuing your dreams is a timely message in such difficult times for the pandemic. It spoke to my soul. Maybe this is why it could be my all-time favorite K-drama now. To mention that it's merely feel-good (which it is!) is an understatement. Growth, healing, and hope - what wonderful messages.

My reflections on this series are pretty much the same. I really loved the focus it had on family and how they dealt with a member experiencing a serious illness and how eventually they all came together to support that family member. I mostly liked how it focused on a man who was still determined to achieve his life long dream against many odds (his age, his family, his illness). It was very inspirational. And I liked how his determination inspired other characters to go after their dreams (Seong-san quitting his job and I think he began a career in baseball as an agent or scout....it wasn't really clear, Blondie playing football, Mr. Ki starting a ballet studio to teach, Ae-ran looking like her consulting job is thriving, and Seong-gwan going back to being a doctor. I think your theory about Eun-ho is right where even though it seemed like her storyline should have had a more exciting ending, I think it was like she said that her radio job wasn't like her dream but she liked it a lot and found it exciting and in the end she was at least more fulfilled doing that instead of working for that restaurant. Plus, I'd like to think that her being so young, she still has time to find her ultimate dream career. I wish that the relationship between Chae-rok and his dad had of been fleshed out a little more. I would have like to have seen a little more insight into Chae-rok's life as a child and his interactions with both his parents. I ain't gonna lie, I too thought that in the scene where the alarm goes off and Mr. Shim doesn't get up right away, I thought the worst for like a split second. But then I thought that would be pretty shitty for the writers to do that to us after all we have been through. I would have to disagree with TTE on one thing. When you said that this K-drama wasn't the typical narrative with a love story but I think it was a love story, not just the typical, conventional one with a two romantic leads. There was a love story of a man who loved ballet and fought against all odds to achieve his one chance to soar. Also, the love story between Chae-rok and Mr. Shim. When Chae-rok was going up the escalator at the airport and Mr. Shim ran up there to say goodbye, tell me that didn't hit you right in the feels.....LOL....(I stole your expression from your other video). Those two really went through a lot and I would say that they developed a love for one another like grandfather and grandson. I did enjoy is drama very much. Thanks for your weekly reviews and all your hard work in bringing them to us. Please let us know soon what you will be watching and reviewing next. Take care everyone and see you all soon on the next review.

Great ending! Yes finally grandpa succeeded to perform on stage and their dance on stage with Chae Rok was so beautiful! Good ending for him even if he has still alzheimer, he has no regrets now and fullfill his dream! It was also the beginning and the success of Chae Rok! Ho Beom is also happy now, can start again his dream of footballer and he's friend with Chae rok's friend, good to see him happy too! It's great that the younger son will continue to be doctor to help others patients! Eun Ho find her dream too and is happy in her work on radio! At first, i didn't like the older son but i understand more him now, he was frustrated to quit his dream of baseball but he wanted others to do the same thing because he was unhappy but now he is more happier, he doesn't feel frustrated like he was before!
