Good to see ya posting again! MDR is a great place to launch, never been anywhere more easy between the parking and the launch ramp. And there some good places to eat at the fisherman's warf at then end of Fiji Way, only down side is the traffic that can build up around there during peak hours.
@@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors7305 Pretty good, hit that Pacific Coast fishing show at the OC fair grounds last weekend also got my 2022 fishing license. Hoping to be back on the kayaks soon, still working on my perception pescador pilot. After taking out to Big Bear Lake end of last year need to make some adjustments and get the FF hooked up.
I always enjoy your videos and I think it's cool you really try to help people out. I was thinking of going out of King Harbor for rockfish on Wednesday and would appreciate any suggestions you can offer on where to start looking.
Great video. In part inspired by your channel, I just bought my first yak on craigslist this year. Have been out in MDR a few times. Would be great if you have another beginner trip soon!
Definitely cheethoe is the best fisherman, im very dedicated to the salt but cheethoe got both salt and freshwater on lock, great day out there and cant wait for the next
nah...i'm not so sure. i don't think it's an accident that you won't the 85th annual HBVD Biggin Bass Tourney two years in a row. i'd say in salt, you two are about equal.
ive been wanting to get a kayak for the longest time. I have an inflatable boat with a trolling motor but i dont feel comfortable taking it near the breakwall or further :/
i'm not going to pretend to know inflatables, but some of those inflatables are *rugged*. they also have fail-safe features like multiple chambers, etc. if yours is like that, and you have a radio and are launching in a busy area like Southern California, i'd say you're pretty safe.
Awesome to see you back bro!
thanks man!

agree - there is not a better place to launch for the newbie kayak fisherman. how you doing, Brian?

Always enjoyed your fishing content, MORE PLEASE.
thanks for the kind words!
Beat them senseless and release them unharmed. Love your channel! Keep making more videos please. I watch your videos multiple times for reference.

thank you for the kind words. as i write this, i would not be launching this wknd - big winds that can pose a lot of danger for kayak fishermen.
Man I wish I would've been there!
remember our first MDR outing? man - i was nervous at how tippy the skinny kayak was1
@@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors7305 I'll never forget that trip. It was fun but so scary at times 🤣. Glad I upgraded that's for sure
Really informative! Thanks. Great catches! Tthe two basses 18" and 20" were nice!
