Shooting the ropes on the bridge and shooting while hanging were definitely in the original. They were even in the demo that was released before the original came out. The demo was the entire Virtuous Mission and ended when you got Sokolov back to the bridge.
The MK.22 isn’t gonna be a sniper anymore it has a noticeable bullet drop and path. The reticle is similar to the WU tranq pistol from TPP. Can’t wait to try it.

As a big metal gear solid from the beginning from first Nintendo. I remember, I was living in the hospital as kid one of my nurse he was from Japan and he gave me a copy of metal gear solid.

I like how they brought back the ability to walk while crouching from the 3DS version. I’m totally not biased since it was my introduction to MGS but the 3DS port is currently my favorite
7:20 I don't see radio cable on the enemy's body, I hope they don't remove it, because that is one of the most advance shit I've ever seen on a PS2 game, where you can cut the cable of, and let the enemy wakes up again after you tranq or stun them, and you will see the enemy trying to call HQ but they can't, and you can even injure your enemy and let them limping or put a bandage depends on the injury or wounds when they wake up from stun or sleep.
3 was always one of the best 12inch G.I Joe or PALITOY ACTION MAN (the 70s version) simulator with the dress up, gear and Commando behind enemy lines. Gonna be a great time with Delta.
Honestly i always feared the game would just be too easy with modern controls and this doesnt really disprove that. Hope its fine in the end though cuz it looks amazing and i absolutely love this game.
This is 100% gonna be the case, but the OG game was very hard on EU-Extreme, I've beaten it many hundreds of times and got to 9th on the speedrun WR leaderboards, still a fucking hard game to me lol

Id love to play 3 with modern controls, and i probably will only use those, but i do wish they did something to enhance the enemy AI’s, so they see further, spot you faster,… 5 is such a fun game but it gets way too easy if you dont go out of your way to nerf yourself, and even then its not that hard. Dont really want that to happen here.
I wonder if shooting the arm thing still exists, and the radios too. I also wonder since they got the whole MGSV mechanics going if we can have the soldiers lay on the ground after being stood up.

Ngl, i had some pretty high criticism about this game, but after watching this footage, i'm kinda SOLD 🤣🤣🤣 the game looks FUN AF regardless of loading screens and sh*t. I'd say that just some details need to be refined, like the blood effect that is kinda exaggerated, the wind trace of the bullets that are way too thicc, the explosion tracking on the enemies, the transition of Snake's walking from land to water, and of course, the 3 hit combo. I STILL HAVE some concerns, like i don't want the tactical reload to come back cause would be hella broken, and it has been confirmed that time STILL FREEZES when you switch weapons, but if it works like MGS4 then we're good.
One thing that I'm worried of is if the level design is going to be 1:1 from the Original game or did they improved it by taking advantage of modern hardware, since the original game the level design were meant to be short and simple because of the PS2 limitations

There’s a lot. I really was hoping to see a better movement design rather than a copy and paste of Uncharted like movement. Or maybe keep it traditional that every Metal Gear (Even the 2D ones up kept) was the Zelda turning movement. Which is what I preferred because you can flick the stick to turn

Hope we can turn off the warning markers and make it more the OG. I hate hand hold mechanics like that in games. I never used reflex mode in MGSV and it made it much more rewarding sneaking around.
Some of the animations look a bit stiff but I’m hoping they’ll refine them before release. Other than that, they’ve actually impressed me quite a bit with what they’ve accomplished.
I really want more intelligent Ai from enemies at higher difficulty that can sniff you out and outfox you randomly. AND PLEASE, just the menu background, with the camo and music and CQC take-downs... PLEASE IMPLEMENT THESE CQC TAKE-DOWNS INTO THE GAME-PLAY. I really hope they open the floodgates with intelligent Ai and CQC take-downs. So much potential. The change to ground shooting mechanics and different CQC animations gives me hope they might expand the game-play in this way. If game-play isn't much better than MGS5, it's going to be hard to justify the purchase. It's been 10 years since MGS5, and even that game-play is starting to feel dated. I remember playing MGS3 and always having replay value with the game-play to complete every little Easter egg. They have to know game-play is an even higher priority than graphics.

The falling physics need work. They look like they are sliding on ice and their legs not adjusting just look off when they fall off the bridge
