Ever since I saw this stuff about backrooms,I became fascinated with it at the point of feeling comfort from it,maybe it’s because of how it feels just like something you would see in a dream that gives me a weird sense of comfort.
There's something oddly cozy about the backrooms (and other liminal spaces) but I can't put my finger on what. It's part nostalgia, part something else. Either way, I'm right there with you.
Backrooms are just one giant corporate office that goes onward for infinity. It's got desks, chairs, a parking garage, bad taste in wall decor and really bad lighting XD

I've actually run out of my bed and found myself awake on the street.. The only consolation is that no one is awake to see what has happened to me at that time of the morning.
I had those of nature place wild barren and strangely empty of animal life or humans since I was little. I would feel soo sad and alone too but a fear of what happened to my family
The smiling face just ruins it for me, some of the other entities are goofy sure, but this one takes the cake and turns the scary ominous feeling of dread and dispair into a silly children's game

I did also. I used to always dream of the entire world living in a huge building. Some parts of it were full of people and some parts of it were extremely abandoned and empty like the Backrooms.

When I was a kid, my mom would take me to these supermarkets that had rooms similar to the backrooms at the back of the store where they’d stock the place. It made the whole concept of the backrooms eerie but familiar and nostalgic.

This is a good example of a bad backrooms video lol like im sure this took a lot of time, but the Backrooms is so intimidating/spooky because it looks and feels REAL. This video has so many points that pull you out of the experience and completely ruin the feel of how people (who enjoy found footage or analog style horror) view the Backrooms. This video isn't a bad video, but it is a bad backrooms style video. Serious potential though! I could never do this, i would never even want to try, it takes a lot of time, skill and effort, and I'm not discrediting the video or the creator, this is amazing, its just not a good representation of the backrooms 😅
I see that there are quite a few people commenting on how peaceful the Backrooms would be but, I would respectfully interject, very few among us know what it is like to be completely alone for extended periods of time. I don't know what it's like to be alone without the sound or interaction of others and I've been to jail. I would liken the experience to Tom Hanks in Castaway and at least he had the sounds of nature and such, its like wanting eternal life like a Cullen or something and then realizing you will see everyone die.

From what i remember the poolrooms are on level 3 followed by the pipes and caves which also have a connection with the pools then the hotel which have connection with the office, village, etc
here in my city i only have couple tall buildings in downtown, one day they had a service door slightly open and i peaked inside and it looked like endless hallways with a. unch of doors that lead to diffrent department stores but the size of those tunes hallways was out of this world you could literally see a mile away hallway down there

the monsters ruin the realism of this. They're laughably bad. The only person who gets everything right and keeps you feeling like your actually in it is Kane Pixels. Majority of others theres always 1. 2 things that let it down
Nothing against the quality of these videos, but I really don’t find any of the things added to the Backrooms to be scary or interesting. Level 0 is terrifying all on its own. Just the implications of something like that existing is a gold mine of liminal horror. All the different levels, with all the progressively spookier and spookier monsters, just adds an almost silliness to it. Like this now feels like something entirely engineered, rather than a cosmic mystery.
The monsters are stupid as hell, also me personally im it scared by it but the levels and liminal spaces are all interesting to me, but this video didn’t really intrigue me

This is my own personal taste but I don’t like having someone talking through the video, it kind of ruins the tensions and the stupid commentary seems so out of reality, as in, the talk doesn’t seem like real things a real person would say in this situation and it takes me out of it pretty badly. Also, ending each level with “Error” is incredibly lazy writing as it’s clear you have no idea how to end that particular part or whatever smh it’s just bad. The blank faces in the photos is silly too, it’s so so so painfully clear that 5-10 and 12-15 was written and made by a literal child that’s had no experience with the world and doesn’t know anything about good writing, building tension, things that are actually scary (running away from a noise every level saying “sh** sh** sh**” isn’t scary or engaging at all it bores me to tears 😭)
For me... i will not leave the level 1 without finding the M.E.G or a.k.a Major Explorer Group... I will get paranoid at level 2 and 3 or much worse at the other levels. 😅

I think Backrooms Series needed quite a bit of work compared to others. Sounded and felt more like a parody (like from 2010s) than the other series'.
