Hello, thank you very much for your videos. Is it possible to do real-time voice harmonization on the br800, taking into account the chords that I play on the guitar? For the system to recognize major and minor?
Hola. Perdona por hacer la pregunta en Español. De alguna forma se puede mutear una pista? Tengo todos los volumenes a zero pero sique sonando! Gracias!
Robert, My name is Bill, I talk to you before in the pass. But anyway my question to you today, on this BR-800 digital recorder. Is it a must that I have to use the Master FX effect when Iam mastering my song. Reason Iam asking is because when I use the Master FX effect when Iam recording and making a CD. My recording comes out "burry". The singing and the back ground instruments sounds burry, bad. So I stop using it. Please answer me, Thank You
William McConnell if I can remember, there is nothing that says you have to use the master effects. It very well could be your recordings as well, or panning.
Hi Robert, Please can you help with the following problem ? I recently bought the 800 and have recorded 3 tracks. Track 1 rhythm guitar, track 2 lead guitar and track 3 vocals. I have used the EZ Recording Function. On page 84 of the manual it refers to Reverb. I have followed the instructions and used the jogging dial to put 20 on track 1 90 on track 2 and 30 on track 3. However when I press play the reverb has not taken affect Do I need to input my reverb settings and send them to the individual tracks ? If so please can you tell me how ? Many thanks. Nick.
nick wright I really wish I could help, however... I have not owned this for a very long time. I wish I could get my hands on one again to answer all the questions.
@@Homestudiosimplifed Thanks for getting back to me Robert. I will email Roland technical support to see if they can assist. I had a Br 900 cd which has stopped working after nearly ten years service. The attached youtube link is the first song I recorded on the 900. ua-cam.com/video/dpMAEfaQHQQ/v-deo.html
You have probably found this by now, but press the Track button and go down and select Reverb. Then cursor across to each track and dial it up to whatever reverb you want applied to that track. They all default to 30 to start with, but you can wind it up to 100 or down to 0 for each track. It works on mine.
Hi Robert. I have a question or two for you, if you wouldn't mind. I've been using the Boss PortaStudio since around 2004, when I first bought the BR-860. Just recently purchased the BR-800 to upgrade somewhat with the latest technology. I find the BR-800, so far at least, not as user friendly as the BR-860 though, and there are some things that are still puzzling me. For instance, with the BR-860 you could pretty much bounce tracks to a V-Track, or several V-Tracks, to mix-down in Stereo - So you basically could record up to 64 tracks before you even mastered your song! I am having a hard time figuring that out with the BR-800. I know it has the virtual tracks, but I don't see anything in the manual (as with the BR-860) about bouncing the tracks onto the V-Tracks. Also, I noticed with the BR-800, tracks 5/6 and 7/8 seem to leave you short. For instance, how would I seperate track 5 from track 6 for instance? The same thing with tracks 7/8. I mean, are they dedicated as stereo tracks? And you can only record on these tracks in stereo? With the BR-860 for example, you would just press a button, to use tracks 1 to 4 and then alternately tracks 5 to 8, using the same four Track Fader/Mixers. And you could record Tracks 1 to 8 on Virtual Track 1 and then say, mix them all down on tracks 1 and 2 V-2 (In Stereo). And so on and so forth, using the the other now available tracks to overdub on V-2 and then V-3 etc. So far, I am having a hard time figuring these out using the manual that comes with the BR-800. I mean, it would really suck if you could no longer utilize all those virtual tracks for recording, as you could with the BR-860, as I mentioned. Can you assist and shed some light on this Robert? (Or anybody for that matter). Would really appreciate it...
There is a way to make use of the virtual tracks. Within the menu options you have to allocate your recordings to them. As for tracks 5/6 and 7/8 those are predominantly stereo tracks but can be utilized as mono as well. The input you use will determine whether it records in stereo or mono as the unit recognizes what you’re plugging in. I am currently trying to work with BOSS to get me hands on another BR-800 so I can answer more questions. Sorry, they have not responded in awhile.
@@Homestudiosimplifed Thanks man. Really appreciate your quick response. Yea, I did notce that, but I haven't figured out if you can bounce them down to a specific virtual track. For instance, say bouncing tracks 1 to 8 on Tracks 1 and 2 V-1 and then overdubing on say, Tracks 3 thru 8 on virtual track 2 for those tracks, and so on and so forth. @@Homestudiosimplifed Yea, that would be great, as the Boss recorder does have some great potential. The BR-860 (that I mentioned) for example, was like ahead of its time in allot of ways. I hope that's really not the case here, because, its potentially at least, a great little unit. Just sayin'...
Great stuff! Are you familiar with the technical differences between the mastering effects? Should I piggyback more than one in a particular order? Let’s say, master using “Mix Down” first, then “PreMastr”, then “RockBand” to get the best result? Thx!
I'm new to the BR 800 and notice that it has different song parts for each drum style - how can I assemble these in a desired order to get different drum parts in different stages of the song: Intro, Verse 1, Chorus etc. Also add fills?
That’s a little tricky. I had to literally record everything to one loop. Then go back and record only the drums in a separate track on my PC and manually add the new loops/fills and then cut paste etc.
Sorry not to have got back sooner. I was afraid you might say that, Robert. It's kind of a shame that you can't do more, but I guess if ending up on the PC to create your improved and varied drum track is the only way, then so be it.
I have insruments recorded on all tracks, and need one more track to add to an existing mixdown. How do you do this? I tried mastering the files into the VMST track, which worked, but when I try to and any other virtual tracks to the VMST I have terrible phasing issues with the final master. How do you bounce extra virtual tracks into the final mix?
Hi Robert. Thanks for your great video. Please, can you ask me two simple questions about Br800 features? As interface audio, can you record, independent, the 4 inputs at the same time? And...can you use it's full effect to record directly on the computer? Thank you very much! (sorry for my bad english)
Very helpful tutorials. On a slightly different subject, please could you advise whether one can bounce tracks in order to record more tracks? In other words, if you record piano and guitar onto the first two tracks, can you bounce them together to free up one of the two track?
Yes you certainly can. However, you’d need to then reimport them into that session and that could get hectic. If you have a laptop or PC the other option is to just simply export them into a DAW and then you could have infinite tracks and the ability to tweak every one individually.
You could use mastering to do that. Just record them down. Doesn't have to be mastered to Track 7/8 virtual track 8. You can set the mastering destination to any track/virtual track. Could even be one mono track rather than a stereo linked pair. I'm going to try that today.
Yes this works fine, except for one thing you need to know. If you Bounce/Master two tracks (or even more) down to a single mono (not stereo) track, the left-right balance for the merged track is determined by the first of the tracks you are playing. I'd recommend putting the Pan setting to C00 for all the tracks you are playing when you are mastering them into a single track, then adjust the pan position afterwards. In theory you could build up a full 127 piece symphony orchestra by doing this. Might take a while - one instrument at a time for the full Wagner Ring Cycle....
@@Homestudiosimplifed thanks for that Rob. So basically I can have all mic effects with condenser microphone as well as dynamic??? Sorry to bother mate.
Hi Rob, quick question if you don't mind. Can you plug in the guitar into BR800 using any guitar effect(GT10, GT80) before BR800, rather than plug in the clean guitar? Simply, can I record any track using already modified signal form GT80 plug into BR800. thanks
Hey man! Don't mind at all. Yes sir, you most certainly can do just that. I used it as an audio interface for quite some time. (A go between even without effects at all sometimes)
I was wondering if any of you manage to USB connect the BR-800 on an iPad as an audio interface. I've tried on my iPad pro but the IOS keep giving me the message: "This USB device requires too much power". I've tried it with apple's CCK and also with a powered and unpowered usb hub. Any of you got any luckier than me?
@@Homestudiosimplifed Hi Robert! Thank you, man. The BR-800 is a power house of effects for voice, acoustic and electric guitar with 4 amazing preamps, a quality rhythm machine with build in stereo mics. It's no cheap, but if this works I'll be fully equipped for recording and creating new songs. I haven't lost hope on this. On my research I found that this device seems to be 12v and requires a stronger USB HUB. I'm still looking for a solution.
Short answer: It wont work on IOS or Android. Long answer: I've found that the BR-800 as many of the Boss/Roland products are not "USB class compliant". That means that its USB protocol ist not compatible with all IOS devices. It's not Apple's fault... Today every product on the market is class compliant to be able to work on Android and IOS. The problem is that Boss and Roland are companies that stood in the past and took too long to jump on the trend of cross platform at mobile devices. Now they're catching up. There are two grooveboxes on the market now that work with IOS and Android: Roland Verselab MV-1 and the Roland MC-707. Those two have better effects units, music production tools, with better drum machines and also synthesizers that are from another level. And off course they both work as audio interfaces for IOS/Android.
Can you use the faders of boss br800 to sync with software Studio one? Another question. Can I record vocals with br800 effects or its better to use software plugins. Many thanks for yor great videos
Leo Hendrix I cannot speak to the first as I have never owned Studio One. (Sorry) As for the last question. Yes, you can record everything to or through the unit.
Hi.I have the BR-800 and iv'e just got the tracks mixed down.My question is:How do you get the tracks to pan.I noticed that your mix seems to have more separation than mine does.I can only get the drums to sound separated.the rest of it all sounds very mono.HELP! Thanks.
Daft question Rob, Can I use built-in microphones with all the vocal effects of BR-800 and create vocal record base just on these two mic's. Great tutorial - thanks

@@calebscovers4714 price wise stay at $400 or under - as for live, I’ve done it... not to bad. A bit of a learning curve. I used a laptop with it just fine, it all runs off of USB anyway. Hope this helps!
There are menu options you can find using the scroll wheel to select the onboard mics. The XLR phantom power is only available on one input however. I think its the either the 1st or the 4th input.
Use steinberg ur44 6 input interface wiith studio one . I also have the boss br800. Is it possible to run from line out on boss with correct cable (of course) into 1/4 inch jack input on the steinberg unit and use the boss for vocals so i can use the harmony effects.... anyway cable on way from amazon so will so find out . Loved the vid
lee blackmore yes you sure can! Just remember that if you are using the line out it will be 16 bit audio. You only get 24 bit by going through the USB. 👌
lee blackmore from the line out... no. If you use the USB into the computer yes. I know it doesn't make sense but I was in the phone with them for quite awhile a few years back and they were very nice and explained that the schematics allow for 24 bit through the USB only.
Robert McClellan That's a deal breaker for me. I thought it would work like the BR-8 where you can record up to 8 mono tracks ( One at a time ) Thanks anyway !
I guess I misunderstood you. Yes you can record up to 24+ tracks one at a time. It has a ton of virtual tracks. I wanna say 64 but I'd have to check again. However, you can only record four tracks at the same time.
Robert McClellan OK - Sounds just like my BR-80 which has up to 64 Virtual tracks (8X8) and it has faders and controls for all 8 channels so you can pan and put effects on each of the 8 channels separately. I thought that the BR-800 was stuck with 4 mono and 2 Stereo tracks/channels.
Mercedes Dixon the quality is exceptional and yes, there is a hi-z guitar/bass input on the front for direct in. You can record the amp at the same time as well.
Hello Rob, I am thinking of buying an electric drum kit (for a more natural sound) and the connectors are Trigger Input 9V DC Power Jack Phones Aux in (stereo jack) USB Port MIDI Out Jack Line Output (L/mono & R) Will any of these plug into the BR-800 so I could play the electric drums straight in? If not, how would I go around this? Cheers
with the wave converter can I do the same thing on my mac book pro? When I master, I am having trouble finding that track after I exit preview. I am losing the master version or any find it for my usable version.
Gary Kiyan I have continually asked Roland to give me another unit so that I can answer questions and do more tutorials but they are telling me that because it’s discontinued they can’t send me one. Sorry man!
Hi buddy I just got the boss 800 and i watched your video and you mentioned the wav converter that comes with the unit I dont think I have that,do I get it from the Roland web site? thanks
THANK YOU VERY MACH FOR YOUR VIDEOS, I have the BR 600, and there is there an option of "bounce" before making the mastering, It seams to me, that it's not there in the BR 800?!And that's mean- that there is no way to bounce 6 tracks to new 2 v-tracks, and then continuing recording more tracks for the end mastering of more then 8 tracks,In the BR 800 we have 64 v-tracks but we cannot use them for one song, and just using the best 8 v-tracks for mastering?!Is it true or there is a way to record with the BR 800 6 tracks to a new 2 tracks with out using the mastering effect? I do want to bay the BR 800, bat if there is no way for that, it is useless for me...
There are options to bounce tracks to virtual tracks i think. I always just used it as a control surface or an audio interface into my DAW for unlimited tracks.
THANKS AGAIN, AND for your time, I have find it, and- just need to do the "mastering", but with out the MASTER FX effect , and you have the same idea of bouncing.

Hi Robert , which one is better, Boss br800 or Roland HS5?
Robert McClellan if you look at 12.56 there are L/R green buttons lit for 5&6 too. I agree only 7&8 would have made sense. Having owned this for 3 years I am finally committing to using the unit fully!
I believe, if I can remember, those are used in similar fashion. Tracks 1-4 are independently assigned wherea the final four are for stereo mix downs and stereo recordings.
I turned the unit to mastering on and track record to 7/8 used the play and record button and it did not record on to track 7/8 ..I had the faders turned up on tracks 1-6 ..I already had a guitar part recorded on 7/8 and That was what I was getting on playback
When recording stereo you will need either two inputs (like a keyboard) or use the condensor mics on the top of the unit. You will also have to select the stereo option from within the menu. I hope this helps man. Could you skype? maybe I could see what you're doing and help?
You're most welcome. So did you only remix or actually record new vocals, guitars etc to what we heard in your video? The quality difference is quite marked but that may have to do with the compression on You Tube and the lack there of on Reverbnation?
Mordecai Querty Just simply remixed the tracks that were already there. I do believe you’re on the something there about UA-cam‘s audio compression algorithms. Thank you again for the kind words!
Listen, I got the Br-800 just like your. Iam following you . Number 1 how did you record that drum beat and the bass line in the unit. Because I didn't see record the drum and bass in the br-800. I followed you on the effect, microphone. But me Iam not getting any sound . No mic sound at all. Also I got my BR-800 installed into my window 7-10 Lenovo computer . But I get no affection in my computer from my BR-800. Do you think you can give me some advice and some help. I did about 13 recording so far on my recorder. some of the song came out pretty good and some did not. Iam still trying to get some understanding on my mastering and mixing. Because I like using different sound effects. But I want it to be recorded clear with no static. Think you could be some help? Your video is good. Iam just stuck at some spot and I need some help.
Sorry I just saw this. For some reason I am not getting emails when people post. I would need a little more info from you on this issue. Go to the website and message me from there. http:/www.homestudiosimplified.com
Hi there, your instructional videos are great and have encouraged me to invest in a micro br80 unit in an effort to further develop my creative ideas as well as increase my overall guitar proficiency and style. I read in a comment, however, that you no longer have the br 800 and was just curious as to what you currently use to capture your ideas and recordings.... I play mostly guitar for worship and more recently softer ambient type synth-based improvs as a hobby. Appreciate whatever feedback you can offer a newbie.
@@Homestudiosimplifed ah ok. Was wondering if there was an newer model available. I find them to be quite handy little units based on your videos as well as other reviews... Would have purchased yours second hand for sure :-) The Boss Me-80 seems very feature rich as well although more geared towards live performances. Don't know too much about but sure its capable and worthy of attention if you recommend it.
Kitty Middleton there are several factors that could be at play here. 1) Obvious I know- is your volume up on your guitar? 2) Do you have the input level set at a decent level and is it set to guitar within the unit? 3) Is your cable/input jack faulty
@@Homestudiosimplifed Yes, it is. On the Recording pg.36 after following each step I get sound through the headphones but a lot of hiss sound. On the EZ record after following steps pg.26 do not or unable to see a record level. changed cable to TS rather than TRS. Any suggestions. Appreciate you responding to my question
Kitty Middleton it sounds like a cable issue. Make sure you’re using a mono 1/4 instrument cable. (It will only have one ring around the tip, stereo will have two) Also, use another cable if you have one to see if that solves the problem.
@@Homestudiosimplifed I think your right, The 1/4 " cable with one ring seems to be working better @ least I'm receiving a signal & hear signal through headphones. I have a few of these cables so I'll go test them all out. thanks for getting back with me. by chance do you know anyone that replace's belts & adjusts heads on a Fostex X15 multi track?
It looks like vocal pitch correction and harmonies are seperate effects, do you know if is this the case? Or can you enable pitch correction....and then apply an efffect like compression or harmony? My first impression is that I can either have one me in tune (or several tracks of) , or an out of tune harmony part. Also, how do you record 8 tracks?....do you bounce 1,2,3 & 4 down to sub-mix 5&6 (stereo?), then re-use 1,2,3&4 before mixing 1,2,3,4, 5&6 , & rhythm to 'master' tracks 7 & 8? Now you've had it a while are any issues that are bugging you? It's a same tracks aren't recorded clean and effected on playback (with original effect settings or overridden), or at least an option to record clean while hearing effects so you could then take it to the pc to do the real production. ...a lot of questions, so only reply if they're quick answers :)
They are separate effects. There are 4 tracks and 4 virtual tracks, making 8, but they can only be done 4 at a time. With the headphone jack you get zero latency monitoring but the effects will be printed with the recordings into the DAW. As far as things that bother me, I don't enjoy only having one pre-amp with phantom power. Whew... I think that covers it! LOL!
Billy Bunter make sure to scroll all the way down. Some menus go farther down than others and also check to see if the wheel doesn't change some of those things.
Oh this thread goes back some years. All the built-in rhythms (except metronome) are in 4/4. You have to use the Rhythm Editor on the PC to create your own patterns. That can be any time signature. It isn't very difficult to do.
Iam getting no response from this video at all. Iam not getting no response from your vocal effects. Is there any way you can email me and give me some information about showing me how to do the vocal technique and sending it to me on my email please. One more thing. I have gotten some information that the BR-800 digital recorder will not be allowed to be installed on a window 10 Lenovo computer. Can you tell me that this is true. And if it is, how and why? Come on man. Be a man and give a brother a helping hand. Iam not asking for much. Come On man. Get Real with it.
Those 3rds/5th are insane!!
Marc Arena oh yes! The other favorite of mine was the guitar to bass simulation.
Yep I love that. I actually can't wait to see what sounds this produces putting my little volca FM thru it :)
Marc Arena make sure to send me some sound examples or post a vid!!

Is the 3rd harmony always a major 3rd, ie always four semitones above the note you're singing, or can you set the key somehow?
Stephen Burt yes, however, there are other harmonies available.
Hi Rob. What's the type of mic you used with the mic effects? Condenser or dynamic.
Regards Andy
I used both with good results
@@Homestudiosimplifed thanks for that Rob. So basically I can have all mic effects with condenser microphone as well as dynamic???
Sorry to bother mate.
Yes sir!
@@Homestudiosimplifed Thank you. Your knowledge and experience about br800 is immense.
Hey does this a vocal delay I use delay most of the time
Video great video 🎥
Gee Speller yes sir!
@@Homestudiosimplifed thanks am buying this today
I just do simple recording
This will work while travel to Asia
Thanks again
I was wondering if any of you manage to USB connect the BR-800 on an iPad as an audio interface. I've tried on my iPad pro but the IOS keep giving me the message: "This USB device requires too much power". I've tried it with apple's CCK and also with a powered and unpowered usb hub. Any of you got any luckier than me?
pixelmanband clever idea! 💡 Let me know if you figure this one out, that could be quite cool!
Keep me posted man!
@@Homestudiosimplifed Sure! I'll try hard on this one.
(Sorry)
As for the last question.
Thanks.
On each track you can use the menu to navigate to the individual track effects. From there you will find reverb, panning, etc.
@@Homestudiosimplifed Thanks! I'll look into that.Appreciate the help.Good day from Montreal,Canada.
No problem
Do you still use the br-800 for recording?
Erik Hellqvist unfortunately... no.
Daft question Rob, Can I use built-in microphones with all the vocal effects of BR-800 and create vocal record base just on these two mic's. Great tutorial - thanks
andy jad I honestly never tried that, however I don't think it is possible. If I remember correctly the effects are only for external sources
Great Content, quick question, Do you experience latency issues using the BR800?
I did not. Sorry for the late reply. I used the monitoring jack on the front to hear in real time what I was playing.
Great review cover all areas of music so, can record a 3 hour DJ for demo? It's looks great sound great so, would be possible in a Dj set? Bless you 🙏🏿😇🕊️
That I’m not for sure… but if your card has enough memory I wouldn’t see why not!
I dont know if you did or not but what can the foot switch and pedal do.? I hopin I can do this stuff while live . but obviously I need to control it with my feet... What can I do with the switches exactly.?
The main usage (at least for me) was during the loop recording feature. It helps to move on to the next punch in area for over dubs.
Thanks bud. I was never into computers but I'm tryin to take my music more seriously . Can I do it all with a laptop and what would you suggest.? What to expect, Prices etc.? I appreciate any quick knowledge .

is it possible to add new effects in br800? either effects from succeeding models (like br80) or manual create? thx.
Yes! You can save any effects you create to a separate patch within the unit.
Does Boss BR 80 Micro has the same vocal harmonizer options? And is it possible to turn on and off harmonizer during recording?
Dejan Ciric I am not familiar with that unit unfortunately. I do know that the answer to the second question is yes.
Robert McClellan Thank you!
How to off the build in mic? And how to use the pantom on xlr mic
@@Homestudiosimplifed is there anyway of achieving 24 bit
lee blackmore from the line out... no. If you use the USB into the computer yes. I know it doesn't make sense but I was in the phone with them for quite awhile a few years back and they were very nice and explained that the schematics allow for 24 bit through the USB only.
how about a usb to 1/4 inch jack into the interface ?
lee blackmore that I never tried! Let me know if you try and have luck with it!
Hi Robert - I wonder if it's possible to record 8 independent tracks on the BR-800 or if its just 4 mono and 2 Stereo tracks ?
That's a negative on the former and an affirmative for the latter. 4 tracks at the most at anytime.
Hi. Do the vocal effects include Reverb, Echo or Chorus?
Sure do!
Can I record my eletric drums with this device??
Mercedes Dixon I wouldn't see why not.
Robert McClellan is it really good quality man really really thinking about getting one
Like can I run my guitar straight into it or do I have to Mic my amp and run the Mic to that
Mercedes Dixon the quality is exceptional and yes, there is a hi-z guitar/bass input on the front for direct in. You can record the amp at the same time as well.
Hello Rob, I am thinking of buying an electric drum kit (for a more natural sound) and the connectors are Trigger Input
9V DC Power Jack
Phones
Aux in (stereo jack)
USB Port
MIDI Out Jack
Line Output (L/mono & R)
Will any of these plug into the BR-800 so I could play the electric drums straight in? If not, how would I go around this? Cheers
with the wave converter can I do the same thing on my mac book pro? When I master, I am having trouble finding that track after I exit preview. I am losing the master version or any find it for my usable version.
Gary Kiyan I have continually asked Roland to give me another unit so that I can answer questions and do more tutorials but they are telling me that because it’s discontinued they can’t send me one. Sorry man!
Hi buddy I just got the boss 800 and i watched your video and you mentioned the wav converter that comes with the unit I dont think I have that,do I get it from the Roland web site? thanks
It is included in the driver package on the unit I believe.
@@Homestudiosimplifed Thank you for your responce yes I just found out that.thanks again
How so you Dome to this,i don't Know which Button i have to push, and can you make a Video, how to make a Song with singing and Instrument ?
Marina Mack i would love to, unfortunately I do not own the unit anymore. Sorry.
Robert McClellan okay But thanks for the answer
Marina Mack you're very welcome!
How do you do the 3rd and 5th vocal together like you just did on your video? Mines wont do it.
There is an option when you use the wheel to set the vocal input to 3rd + 5th harmonies.
THANK YOU VERY MACH FOR YOUR VIDEOS,
I have the BR 600, and there is there an option of "bounce" before making the mastering, It seams to me, that it's not there in the BR 800?!And that's mean- that there is no way to bounce 6 tracks to new 2 v-tracks, and
then continuing recording more tracks for the end mastering of more then 8 tracks,In the BR 800 we have 64 v-tracks but we cannot use them for one song, and just using
the best 8 v-tracks for mastering?!Is it true or there is a way to record with the BR 800 6 tracks to a new 2 tracks with
out using the mastering effect?
I do want to bay the BR 800, bat if there is no way for that, it is useless for me...
There are options to bounce tracks to virtual tracks i think. I always just used it as a control surface or an audio interface into my DAW for unlimited tracks.
THANKS AGAIN,
AND for your time,
I have find it, and- just need to do the "mastering",
but with out the MASTER FX effect , and you have the same idea of bouncing.
Hi Robert , which one is better, Boss br800 or Roland HS5?
İngilizce Akademisi I’ve never tried the Roland so I can’t really give an accurate answer. Sorry man!
So, whats the best for home record?
İngilizce Akademisi well. I personally used the BR-800 for years and it served its purpose well.
I definitely can recommend it as I’ve used it.
Thanks so much 🙏🙏🙏
My br-800 the effects are not working any suggestions?
sokhara nuth call Roland support.
When you do the final export there are two L/R green buttons lit. Why two and not just the ones for 7&8?
7/8 are used for Stereo mix downs and it is this way by default. Hope this helps!
Are you saying turning mastering off or on Robert I tried to record a stereo track on 7/8 and it did not work
Malcolm Mcwhirter you would have to be more descriptive. Not entirely sure what you're talking about. Sorry.
Great song Robert can i hear the whole song
Dave Hewing www.reverbnation.com/1sounddoctrine/song/24212477-the-seed
Really enjoyed the full song - a new recording? It sounds of much better quality, this version on Reverbnation. Great stuff.
Yes sir! I did a remix and balanced some things out. Thank you by the way!

+Stone D this is it! It is an interface and multi-track recorder in one.
+Stone D yes sir!

Stone D I have heard of it but never personally used it. I’m sure you’ll be good with that though. They’ve been around for awhile!
@@Homestudiosimplifed thanks for your input man be good !
Unfortunately I sold the unit a while back. Mainly because I felt I had outgrew it. These days I am using the boss me-80
@@Homestudiosimplifed ah ok. Was wondering if there was an newer model available. I find them to be quite handy little units based on your videos as well as other reviews... Would have purchased yours second hand for sure :-)
The Boss Me-80 seems very feature rich as well although more geared towards live performances. Don't know too much about but sure its capable and worthy of attention if you recommend it.
verdielg I’ve not hear anything bad about them really. However, I’ve never personally owned one.
When I plug the guitar into jack I can't see levels or sound. any suggestion's?
(It will only have one ring around the tip, stereo will have two)
Also, use another cable if you have one to see if that solves the problem.
Kitty Middleton great! Let me know if that helps. As for the Fostex... unfortunately I do not.
Thanks for that...very interesting.
You're quite welcome!
You're quite welcome!
LOL!
+Robert McClellan hey robert. could you tell me, please, if i can use the effects not just with guitar/vocal but also over the onboard drums/loops?
Does anyone know how i can play rthym in 3/4 time?
Billy Bunter within the Rythm menu there should be options to change the time signature.
Ta for the quick reply. I had a look through the rythmn banks a cpl of wks ago, and couldnt find it. I will have another look now. Thanks again,.
Billy Bunter make sure to scroll all the way down. Some menus go farther down than others and also check to see if the wheel doesn't change some of those things.
ok
Oh this thread goes back some years. All the built-in rhythms (except metronome) are in 4/4. You have to use the Rhythm Editor on the PC to create your own patterns. That can be any time signature. It isn't very difficult to do.
I want one!!!!
wow
NOT BAD
Thanks!
I didn't hear the hiccup, only a bad ass song!

You would think making a video about vocals the vocal audio in your video would be present. Speak up dude we can barely hear you talking.
This was some years back and my setup was not quite as good as it is now. But, thanks for looking out for me!
