Just started using the steampod and I love it! My hair feels so healthy, has never been straighter and no more frizz! Also, the style and no frizz last for days. Just remember to take small sections when straightening and make sure to use the tool with the arrows facing down. Great took and worth the money. Love your videos!
It works better with the comb, as long as you use it as the instructions say, which is with the arrows pointing to the bottom!! That way the comb always goes first as well!
I have the steampod and it's the best straightener i've ever had. My hair has more shine and stays straight longer. The best part is that it is really less damaging to the hair. I've had the revlon one step hairdryer with was really damaging to the hair, and a ghd gold which is just a basic straightener imo.
@@nasma.e7440 humidity is always bad if you have naturally curly hair that is straightened. It does get frizzy but not nearly as much as if i had used a basic straightener. The only thing i noticed is that curls don't last as long as with basic straighteners. I think the hair gets too smooth with this one so your hair can't hold a curl. I still use my ghd if i curl my hair, and the steampod for the initial straightening and touch ups.
I think you used the device in the wrong position. I have one of these and the steam part always stays down, there are arrows drawn on the device indicating the correct position.
I’ve been using the L’Oréal steampod since 2017. It’s the best!! The versions I have is the 2.0 and the one you have here is the 3.0. I’m going to be very honest, from all the reviews I have seen comparing both, the older version seems more efficient on our hair. I have similar hair type to yours and with mine I don’t have to do as many passes as you did. Maybe one day you can try and compare both? Maybe? Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this x
The steampod should be used with the arrows facing down. There is also a leave in cream product that was meant to be used with it when they first released it as a “salon only” item. The Salon version of this comes with a huge motor and canister for the water.
Finally, I was waiting for this video😍 I love this hair straightener and I've been using it for more than 5 years. My hair looks a lot like yours and it's my favorite one. It also does a very good job if you want to create good waves but yes, no tight curls
Yeah but it’s worth it. The hair looks extremely healthy after straightening. It’s insane. Best hair tool I ever bought. Btw: my hair is curly. Like hers.
I originally owned the Redken steam pod straightener which is basically the same thing as this, same design and all. It’s was $399. Just the pod was bigger and separate from straightener and hooked with a tube. L’Oréal owns Redken. So they basically just revamped it and made it more functional. Regardless these straighteners are amazing for low porosity hair types. I’ve been doing hair for years and they’re a game changer.
Hey ! L'Oreal does have the drugstore makeup but they also have L'Oreal Technique and L'Oreal Professional, which are professional haircare products (used at salons)
It is worth every penny. I got one in France a few years ago and adorethe thing. My hair (coarse and frizzy) feels so much healthier and stay straight longer (few days)...less heat because I don't have to straighten my hair everyday any anymore.
Please do a comparison between the L’Oréal and GHD? Would be interested to see which one is better? Would like to see how your hair last all day with the L’Oréal? Does it get frizzy or stay straight after 8 hours?
Wow! This looks so good!! It even straightened the top part on your right side that always ends up curly. Maybe you could try the inverse cold system (cold flat iron) or the babybliss cold brush, their supposed to give you shine and tame frizz.
Coming from a Professional. If you Use higher heat setting you pass Once versus several times of coarse heat protectant is a Must. But I tell my clients one pass with higher heat. Is better Then several passes at a Low but still high heat. Thanks for a review. Fyi most heat protectant s Are up to 450. Best way to see if your protectant is working mist it on a Piece of bread. Toast it And You will see if it protectant is working. Or Spray your hand hit with blow dryer you should see and feel.the difference.
You had it upside down... the comb and steam face downward. Still the result came out amazing anyway which is a testament to how amazing it is lol. There are arrows on the device to guide you.
Love it. I was waiting for this video ! I have been using the straightener for a year now. I have to say it is the best investment I have made. It works so good on my hair and when it is a rainy weather I don’t have to worry about my hair. Love your review.
I use the Tymo Ring Hair Straightening Comb and I love it! What used to take an hour and half now takes 20 minutes and it was much better priced at $50... Will never go back to a regular straightener again.
The comb was tangling because you were holding it backwards. You did it with the comb and steam coming from near your scalp but you have to hold it so the comb and steam is facing the floor so when you pass over the section it's steamed and then flat ironed. If you do it that way, you shouldn't have to do so many passes and the lower heat settings will work better. Just make sure the steam vent side is directed towards the floor and don't start with it facing the side where your scalp is. It should be steam hits your hair first, then the iron plates. You can get very good curls this way too.
It's weird that they don't have it posted online, but it's printed in the directions that it came with. It makes a big difference on saving time with less passes and wayyy better curls.
@@nasma.e7440 I found that if you take your time and your hair is completely dry it holds better in humid weather. I haven’t come across any other product (apart from having a Keratin treatment) that keeps my hair from getting frizzy! It’s still my go to hair tool!
