Honestly, the fact that we even got a behind the scenes thing *at all* period, really tells me that *They DO give a fuck about older fans. And they WILL make us proud*

I’m one of the few that’s been sold since the teaser. I loved it so I was confused with the hate lol. The more we see the more assured I feel that’s it’s going to be good. My highest hopes is it becomes Star Wars/MCU/Game of thrones big. It had a lot of potential. Having the current fans already helps them a lot in viewership.
I love all recent anime adaptation like bleach fma so yeah im confused, but i dont care anymore, despite general perception of this one piece LA, im going to really love this one
I loved it too! It had some problems but it was an old teaser, as we´ve seen the cgi has been upgraded and everything is fine as it should. Gad damn im so hyped

I don't think anyone cared about Luffy's shoes. It's was just a meme tweet that went viral and of course the haters would hate and would nitpick anything.

When it came out "Alita: Battle Angel" was considered the best anime/manga live-action and nobody talks about it. It's a really good movie that reviewed well. The expectation is so low and the bar is so high.

His name IS Roronoa Zoro, not Zolo. German translation changed it, for some reason, same with Luffy, who they cganged to Ruffy.... and the danish manga took off from this. It was just no. No please use their actual names, like the rest of the world😅....

It's Zoro not Zolo. Zolo is a mistranslation from the early 4Kids dub that was just kept for consistency.

Not to be one of those, but it wasn't mistranslation in the manga, it was being careful around the copyright of Zorro and its similarity to Zoro.
Sanji's always been my favorite and I think Taz is going to be fantastic as him - I'm genuinely so so happy they changed Sanji's more creepy tendencies into him just being a huge flirt with cheesy pickup lines. Yes, still a bit cringe but MILES better than anything else they could've done.
3:24 I was waiting for a shot like that. There are many things to consider and want, but I always wondered about how the attacks would look, sound and feel, with a focus on the impact of the attacks. The attack looks and sounds great, and the impact looks heavy and solid. A major bonus is the stretching sounds. When I saw that full scene like here, I at least knew this show was going to be fun. And inaki's vocalization of the attack sounds cool, and I was expecting to cringe if they included the characters saying their attacks. He uses his voice in a certain way, and the whole thing just looks/sounds cool and satisfying

9:31 Zoro has 3 Swords, who in his right mind would think that the third Sword goes in his Mouth ? Perhaps he have a third One in case One Sword breaks I would say, and Luffy He was surprised as Anyone would be, when Zoro put his Sword in the Mouth. Actually Mackenyu being a Swordsman and Martial Artist created the moves he is going to do based on the Manga. There is not School for 3 Swords.
There actually is a school like that, but the technique behind it is to use several swords, one or two at a time, and tactically drop or throw the swords depending on the situation.
Like if you are in the middle of locking swords with someone in a disadvantageous position for you, you would drop the sword to draw the second or third for an attack while the opponent has not yet recovered his form.
@@imatiu I had thought of having it be that way too. But I really wonder how they are going to show him fighting with three swords, as it clashes with dynamic action. Even in the manga and anime they don't show him fight with it. It is only before and after shots. But I think 3 swrod style, just means he has one or two moves out of 50 or so that he has, that involves all three. And that only works because of Haki.
There is a video on youtube where a sword master is asked how he would use three-sword style. He showed that he would use 2 swords in his hands and have one shorter sword on his hip. And he would drop a sword during the fight for distraction (dropping sword for distraction is an actual techinque), and then he would pull the shorther sword for the finishing blow. He also showed thet droping a sword and pulling out the shorter one and attacking with that could be faster sometimes than waveing the longer sword.

Hey i watch Corridor crew and they looked at a Movie that was Filmed in German i think amd then the actors went and recoreded all their lines in English and then they CGI the Faces and mouths to match the english perfect. So its possible nowadays!!!!!!!!
I have only one concern from what I have seen in the trailer. In the clips of Nami we have seen, she appears stoic and introverted, as opposed to the expressive and extroverted manga version. But this just might because the clips we see are intense scenes, where of course Nami would be business like.

@@nechirvanhevar435 If her character suddenly opens up after Arlong park, that would be epic!!! But in the manga she was also fairly expressive when she did cons. And on big budget tv shows they always have a tendency too make women stoic. The biggest test for the show too me is still, how they do Nami. The other characters all look perfect so far.
The scenes we've seen of her so far are all before or during Arlong Park. Never forget, she was lying and deceiving them for her own means at tihs point still.
@@persgodiva Manga Nami showed lots of emotion prior to Arlong park. Like when she captured Luffy to give to Buggy, or messed things up with her antics in the Sryup village battle.She was more than the straight person, she was often her own source of comedic gags.
Anyway, a new short clip was released, that shows were she said the 'treacherous stretch of ocean ' line. In the clip she sounded much more nuanced then in the trailer.
Wonder if we can do a Sanji challenge saying that line to a girl 😊

The Gintama live action was bretty gud, although you can tell they didn't had much money for more clean cgi.

From what I've heard - Usopp comes off a little more badass in his manga depiction.
& I believe this to be the case since Hunter x Hunter 2011's anime toned down Leorio quite a bit...(and to this day I'm still kinda mehh about that)
Personally, Usopp is my favorite Strawhats from the beginning, but I've watched so many reaction, from anime only watcher to booktuber who read manga, and most of them dislike Usopp in early stage of the journey. Only handful of people who like Usopp from the start. I think they try to fix this by making his character more lovable or less annoving for the viewer.

Usopp has actually always been a badass sniper with a big inferiority complex. He is always the first surprised at his own accuracy and seems to always think he only managed to make a lucky shot. The thing is that he cannot acknowledge his own value compared to the superhuman feats that Luffy or Zoro do on a regular basis. The thing he has in common with them though is an exceptional ability to still be alive even after sustaining countless injuries. The most interesting aspect about Usopp is when he demonstrates the power of a coward’s courage. I think his highest point is the moment he splits from the crew over the Merry in Water 7.
I actually find him much more annoying after the 2 years break. At first when he comes back, it seems like he has gained a little confidence but that doesn’t last long and Oda rapidly returns him to an even more coward and useless version than before. I suspect that this more mature version of Usopp didn’t do well in the Shonen Jump polls at the time.

It's easier to adapt something that doesn't have to be realistic because you have more leeway with what you can do or not do, if you were to try and do a realistic series then things like visual design and writing have to be on point otherwise it feels very sloppy.

Cowboy Bebop should've been the easiest anime to adapt, simply because you had the blueprints for success in the forms of Firefly and Guardians of the Galaxy, which already did something similiar and succeeded.

Why ? In japanese, R and L are almost the same. For example, Roronoa’s name comes from an old french pirate called L’Olonnois (Lolonoa for the french pronouncation which became in japanese Roronoa). So Zoro or Zolo isn’t a big problem.😊

I disagree I believe that one piece is actually a harder medium to adapt then something like cowboy bepop. Cowboy bepop being very space oriented/sci fi has been made and been successful through other sources of media like stars wars, Star Trek, etc… I think the biggest issue with people adapting these type of anime’s is just they can’t get you to believe and immerse yourself in “the world” that you are watching. If immersion is created correctly it becomes an easy watch.. take the guardians of the galaxy for example.. talking raccoon, talking tree, weird and wacky setting. It’s just executed properly.

I think the AI he was talking about here, is just using Ai too be able too do more with video editing, to sync up the lips with the dubs voice actors. It wasn't about using AI for the voices themselves.

Zoro is certainly not pronounced Zolo. I know that japanese people pronouncing an 'l' often sounds like 'r', but that doesn't mean all 'r's are 'l's. Zoro's name is based off of two sources: The 17th century pirate Francois l'Olonais and Zorro from the 1998 movie 'The Mask of Zorro', a pirate and a swordsman respectively. Hence, if there is to be an 'l' and 'r' switch in his name, it should be in the last name, 'Lolonoa Zoro' instead of 'Roronoa Zoro'. Please let me never hear a Zolo again (not directed at anyone, just a futile wish I've had for years). It's really cringe.

Sure...I just did. Thank you for this suggestion. His introduction begins with Buggy mistakingly hearing his crew member saying he has "a big red nose" because of his complex. In what way is this scary exactly? There is not a hint of scariness. Maybe you read another One Piece!! He is shown making funny-shocked faces IN THE FIRST CHAPTER he is introduced. Buggy was always comic relief. He was NEVER just NEVER "It" level creepy or imposing in any way. Have you seen the few shots of Buggy in the Netflix show?

Bruh the only thing that is bothering me is the sanji characteristics. Sanji will never use the cheesy pick up line. They should have gone with the simp character because he looks like a pickup artist there
That is what Sanji is supposed too be like though, charming. They only made him look like a simp in the manga, because that is japanese expected humour. But in the manga, look at how he acted around Kalifa, Viola and Pudding. In those cases, where things were actually plot related, he acted charming. Simp Sanji was only ever used for comedy gags.
