- Amanda Ditching her Guardian Full Face Mask and switching to her backup mask. It's a great skill to be comfortable with. She does it like a champ!!! Lots of success in this video!!!
I have trainer many, many professional divers in the use of that model of OTS Guardian (and other) Full Face Masks (FFM). Doffing should not take that long or that much effort (even with a lot of hair). Simply use your thumbs to push straight forward on the bottom two (Jaw/Chin) buckles, thereby loosening them and remove the FFM by pulling it off your head from the bottom to top. No need to loosen any of the other straps to doff the FFM. Note: when putting the FFM back on U/W you will probably want to loosen all straps first (while breaking from your alternate air source) but that is not always necessary. I also made my FFM students give two OK signals; one after they are on alternate air and another once their half-mask is on and cleared. Keep practicing until it becomes simple and fluid - almost one continuous motion to remove the FFM.
We are proud of our divers and students for getting through their skills well. Our student's don't practice until they get it right, they practice until they can't get it wrong, and have mastered the skills.
I am taking the PADI Open Water Diver course, and y’know, I really want to take a course to dive with a full face mask. After I complete open water.
It took my wife and I a little bit to get through the skills. But we did and don’t dive without our fullface mask.
They do add a good bit of comfort and safety to the dive once you get the hang of them. Thanks for your comment!
Are you using any kind of lens color on your camera ? It looks krystal clear :)
Thanks for your question. The water really is that clear here. We are using a filter that brings back the red that is filtered out because of the depth. Other than that there was no correction or processing done to make this video look the way it does. Your English is great too, Thank you!!!!
Sink or Swim Scuba looks like an amazing place to dive :) thx for the info (french is first language but i’m doing my best in english :) ) have a nice on guys !
You are doing very well with English! Thanks for the nice comments. Come dive with us sometime if you are ever down this way! We can teach some classes remote/online as well. :-) Have a great weekend!!!
What if her dive buddy needs air? She has no octo for them.
Sweet breathing 🙂
Thanks for your comment. We love seeing positive comments about our videos!!
Why do you keep commenting about Breathing??? Are you that into your weird fetish? Why do you have a womans name as your YT handle and a picture of some lady croching down on the floor? Youre just some weird Nordic or German dude thats old and insane I guess
Depth?
Thanks for your question. This was at about twenty feet.
FANTASTIC AND BEAUTIFUL woman in the water fantastic and very very best and good 🆗💯💦😊👍
Thanks for your message. We love it when people leave us kind comments about our divers.
@@sinkorswimscuba6196 👍HAPPY DAY 👍
Whats "Very very best and good"??? What does that even mean Frankenstein?
@Tom-zq7lu why do you always say that?
Ummmmmmm there are like 10 million things wrong with this video I can’t even count. Please be safer when you’re diving.
Damn! It took her an eternity to do a switch that shall take no more than a minute or two...
She was learning, we are easy on out students until they develop some comfort with things. You have to have the basics down first before picking up the pace.
