60$ for a GTX760 is to much to be honest, 20-30$ would be a deal but more then this I would not recomend to buy it. I bought a RX570 for 65$ and is a better deal then the GTX760.
@@skorpers For clarification, that was in the middle of the scalpocalypse. A GTX970 was almost $100 around here and I needed something that could run GTAV and minecraft. Good deal back then, not so much today.
There's also a 6GB GTX 780, which technically would allow it to perform better than its 3GB bigger brother, the GTX 780 Ti. The 6GB GTX 780 isn't super common though. they also wouldn't be very worth it since they're kinda expensive for what they are. a 8GB R9 390/390X would be better overall since it "technically" has driver support via Nimez drivers.
well... to be fair a GTX 760 it's quite an underpowered GPU... 700 series was (in my opinion) the worst Nvidia architecture in decades, Keppler didn't perform as good as intended, and the 7000 (refurbished later as 200/300 series) from ATI/AMD proved to perform better as time went on and on. So for modern standars, i think GTX760 works about as good as an R7 7850/265/370, which is quite bad, since there were a lot of AMD gpus that will outperform this, and will also bring a better Dx12 support
Watching this with a EVGA GTX 760 2gb right now. It gets the job done with older games and allows you to play modern indie games over having Intel graphics.
A cheap used 1060 6GB or a new RX"580" 8GB from aliexpress make more sense with 20-30 more $. If you are PSU limited a 1650 is "fine" as long as the price is good.
@@budgetking2591 even better then if you can find em at 50, depends on where you live. Never seen a 470 for 50 usd ( Europe), usually they go for same with 570 and they have so many "miles".
Yeah as far as used ebay prices here in the US, a RX 470 or GTX 970 ends up in the $60-75 range. The GTX 760 is great as a legacy card though, for a legacy XP, Vista, or Windows 7 build. I keep one on hand, along with a GTX 660, specifically for this reason.
Loving th3 content my dude 🥰👍💪. Keep up the great work. This GPU is fine for a fortnite budget little kids gaming rig and older light weight titles 🥰💪👍
everyone tests Apex, PUBG, Doom, and RDR2, whenever they're testing a GPU. When the title said "modern games" I was expecting something like COD MW2, WZ2, RE4 Remake, Cyberpunk, you know, games that actually puts the GPU under heavy load.
I'd be curious how this might perform with a vulkan wrapper like dxvk. Would it support the graphics feature set for vulkan but not dx12 maybe? lol I dunno... I don't even know if the 760 supported vulkan.
@@Turktien sadly this old architecture is really bad for vulkan some reason.... funny but the GTX 750Ti (maxwell) is better nowadays (new drivers, still supported)

it's weird how prices for these still haven't dropped enough to make them worth it
I got one for $25. Worth it.
@@edge21str Not really, it's barely better than a GTX 580.
Look for a 970 if you're interested in this. Or an RX 580

same with AMD FX

60 usd? better buy a rx470

I still have a GTX 760 pulling duty in a Windows XP box for playing older games. Coupled with a Core 2 Quad Q9650, it's buttery smooth.
SO! How much for some of your MSI B350...boards...I need PCI ports!!!
Of I'm going cheap, it's going to be the rx580

As far as i can remember the AMD 7950 was the GTX 760 competitor back then. Maybe lets compare them again to see who aged better?
280/hd 7950

Bro,,, where have you been? - you should make more videos!
I'm trying!
First comment! Mwahaha!
Current price of this rig?
Ok so the GPU sucks. CPU is old but still does decent
mb
Try underclocking the VRAM that helped for my 750 with texture issues. Just a thought
keep the amazing work as always, your videos are informative and also very adictives
Thanks!
Awesome
looking forward for the next one
I still have an old GTX 550 Ti tucked away somewhere. With only 1GB of VRAM, I shudder to think about what that gaming experience would be today.
you would be pleasantly suprised how many new indie games play well on 1GB vram.
Yeah on modern games that is not enough at all
Kepler runs Doom like trash :( amd cards from that era run much better

kepler sux in vulkan (Doom 30fps only)

got i5-3330 intel got 760 8gb ram most of these games run clear 60fps
i upgraded my pc from this card to a 4070 last year
Massive upgrade!
