So great, but I think what you did was also great because no you have like numbers, a built community and people who are looking forward to your content and now you can try to find your voice again or make more out of your own voice, more about you. I think that's great too. One of my favourite video was still the one where you just filmed your everyday life, helping your friends out with their project and I think you're just doing great stuff. This is great honesty and reflection. I went through something similar. I think it's good to move away from emulating gawx. You do a great job with your videos, but to your point, there can only be one gawx, and there can only be one Andrew.

Needed to hear this today honestly. There's nothing wrong with growing your audience - those numbers can open doors and let you reach more people who need to hear what you have to say. But this really nails that tricky balance. The second those views start hitting, it's so easy to slowly morph into whatever gets the algorithm going, and you don't even realize you're losing your actual voice along the way. Appreciate the reminder Andrew!

This video didn’t feel like a downer to me-it felt authentic and real. I really appreciate you sharing this and your thoughts. As someone with a very small and new channel, I often struggle with finding purpose and questioning why I’m making these videos. But deep down, I know I want to give a voice to those who can’t or are unable to. I hope to step into my voice and find the courage to show more vulnerability and authenticity in my work. 100K is only the beginning 9f the chase. I'm heading towards 200K but spend my whole 30s and more than 150 videos to chase 100k. And experienced that the hill gets only steeper. There is no top, no goal, no end to reach. You just more likely to loose yourself.

hey andrew, thank you for this. I actually love the words in the screen in the beginning and this whole style. and I agree 100%. Here is why I stopped using youtube analytics: I put my first video out of a new series and a lot of people watched it and I kind of went to youtube studio all the time to check analytics. so many subscribers and I felt such a joy. and then with every subsequent video, I didnt gain subscribers but lost them. and at first that really disapointed me. I thought, maybe I did something right in the first video that I didnt do anymore? but that's not it, it think. Instead, maybe its normal that if you start on a journey with 2000 people at every turn some people realize: this is not the kind of journey I am interested. I mean this accounts for me because I do renovation videos, so totally different from what you do. but what I realized is that in the end, it counts that there are people out there who enjoy watching what I do. and so I actually DO NOT LOOK AT THE NUMBERS anymore. just the comments. and that has made it soooo much more enjoyable to make videos. Oh and by the way: I learn from watching your videos so much. I am not a visual person at all and so it is so cool to see what you can do with visuals. so a big thank you to you!

Thank you for this video. I think it's brave to acknowledge that chasing a dream isn't always what we expect it to be or straight forward. I chased a dream, reached it and it wasn't all that I thought it would be. I lost my voice back then. Now, starting over in a completely new and different direction. Being creative, something I never allowed myself to be. Better late than never, I guess. I'm hoping to reach te same milestones you are reaching here on UA-cam and this is a great reminder for me to stay true to who I am. Congrats with your great succes and keep inspiring creatives and creators (like myself).

Thank you for sharing this with the world. This is word for word what I was thinking and even picked up a book yesterday called: 'Put your dreams to test'. Sometimes we need reminding to be present, to be real and I am glad you are also narrating the low parts because that is the reality a lot of might be going through and that connects more than the sugar coating we are so used to on social media (I love that content too but I have my days). I also starting doing UA-cam more seriously and I am very close to 1K now❤

not that nothing will ever be enough - but that you just gotta chose to be content in any situation , weather you've achieved your dreams or not - youre still you and that makes whatever it is you're doing important -
the problem is when you think that the end goal will solve all your problems and then when you arrive, you feel you need more -

@@AndrewPaul1 no problem bro, I just finished it. and all what you said couldn't have been more true bro, and your honesty elevates that. this couldn't be better timing for me since im currently trying to lock in on my youtube channel and honestly felt the same way you did. well not the same way but more in a sense, working with what I have and the need of having a $3,000 cinema camera to make good content. I over thought this for a while until I decided to get off my butt and save up for a phone and here we are.
I have a phone, tripod, and mic. everything to make videos that I've been dreaming to do for like 2 years. but its more the feeling after you get all this stuff that you've been dreaming of. your kinda just sitting there lost like you said. imo the only thing to do is just to move foward. less dreaming and more doing and follow your heart ( easier said than done lol ). Amazing content bro keep going! ❤

I’ve been told a few times I could get more subscribers if I do x or y, and I’ve taken time to ask myself if I want to. It’s hard. The creators I admire all say that there is freedom to play when small so I’m doing that. I love words too! Thanks for sharing yours. I really enjoyed this one! Congratulations on the 100K. I got to know my voice through writing for theater, but I hasn’t translated to this stuff. I get views, but very few subscribers or comments even. Honestly, I’m stopped. There’s also alot of other confronting stuff going on in my life and I’m very overwhelmed. It’s very difficult because I felt like my theater material was relatable at the time, but I don’t feel like I’m getting through at all. Hard to feel interested or engaged.
