Nice uncomplicated tub setup. I like using turnbuckles instead of straps.

Why do most youtubers make a big thing about having a beer while doing the video. Also mate I think you should throw your encle fridge cover in the washing machine. It sure could use a wash.

I’m looking at doing the same with my Ute. How did ARB bolt the fridge slider down with the tub liner, did they drill through it and the tub tray then put a bolt through the lot? Is it solid enough, or do I need to pull my liner out? Cheers.

Hi Dan, I'm pretty sure that's all they did was drill through the liner and tray and attach it on top. It certainly seems solid enough after over 6 months use it hasn't moved a bit. One thing though when you pick it up check that it slides in and out without catching on anything, mine was getting caught on one of the front bolts which was annoying when it was signed off by their Workshop Supervisor and had got their tick of approval. It had to be taken back in the workshop at 5pm when the workers had gone home already to have a bit of grinding done on the bolt to make it work properly. When you are paying a gold plated price you should expect a gold plated product. Cheers Jack

Hey mate, I am thinking about doing a similar thing with my 2021 FX4. When you used ratchet straps without a fridge slide how stable was the fridge and did it move around much?

hi tango yankee, all good. used it for a week on a fishing trip as well as around town and it is very stable and no movement at all. it was loaded with 58 cans so this was a good test with the weight of the beer. mind you we didnt do any off roading rough stuff as it was mainly highway and dirt road and beach launching of the boat.

yeah jordzz with ARB you pay a gold plated price that's for sure. I have found it easier to load 2 cartons of beer though when you can drop the tail gate and rest the cartons on the gate it makes it easier to stack when you can slide the fridge out. It also keeps the fridge stable and and fixed in the back which is better than just strapping it in and if I have a need to carry something in the back I can still remove the fridge. It actually moves 53.5cm and it was $479.00 including GST installed. I'm lucky I can claim it on tax and I was never happy when the fridge was just strapped in my Sahara and couldn't move. I have been using it for nearly 12 months now and have had no problems with it and even if I wasn't able to claim it I would pay the gold plated price again. I have had my Engel for 30 years now and in 3 different land cruisers where it was just strapped in so I'm happy to have it finally mounted properly. Cheers mate

@@southaussiejack558 as long as your happy with it mate that’s all that matters, I just wack the fridge in make sure it can’t move around and when at camp, just wack it on its stand. No dramas that way and don’t have to get up to get a beer
