Im gonna chime in after watching this vid before doing my gs300 mounts. Dont waste your time trying to unbolt your top caps and maneuver them. Toyota didnt design them to come out to replace the mounts. Hold the engine as high as it will go with a jack and a 2x4 on the oil pan. Loosten the 4 bolts on the subframe AND the strut towers until they're close to coming off but dont take them off. Use a pry bar to pull the subframe down enough until the mount pops out.
I appreciate the input and love different perspectives. I would say the problem with this route is needing a new alignment if you want to do it correctly. Altho probably the best way if you want to avoid the headache and potential damage on banging the stock stuff out haha.
@@remogaggi82 i do miss it here and there! Was fun to drive but also really disconnected feeling in the backroads and terrible gas mileage so moved onto a Miata haha. See if I can commit to that one. Altho mileage on it isn’t that much better, smiles per gallon has increased haha.
Haha I do get to drive some modern cars here and there personally, loads of good cars nowadays with EPS that feel amazing! The IS300 felt meh for sure, I actually prefer my LS400 surprisingly even tho a good bit heavier.
Sorry for the late reply! Have you tried putting it in gear and spinning the tail shaft? May not be aligning so I’ve always had to spin by hand to help.

That radiator hose is barely on passenger side. Also replace those worm clamps with oem constant tension clamps.
This was a long time ago! Car is long gone but never had any issues with the way they were put on before selling haha. I appreciate the look out tho!
Sorry to see it go!

@@dapetdetective disconnected? damn, try driving pretty much any late model car, that will redefine disconnected for you.

When u have the engine mounts off what’s holding the engine in place?
The jack under the engine along with the transmission mount!
We struggling stabbing the manual trans in our is. We are on jack stands. Any advice ?

DID YOU NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY IT FEELS WHEN YOU DRIVE LIKE LESS VIBRATIONS ANYTHING LIKE THAT?
Still vibrating up till I sold it but I attributed it to the aftermarket transmission mount haha new motor mounts were pretty soft!
Is it the same for the IS250?
I don’t think so! The 250’s should V6’s to my knowledge so would be different!
