One is hard but for 2, maybe 24mm f1.8 Viltrox and 16mm f1.8 Viltrox? - I like wide :) - I filmed an entire travel video with a 13mm f1.4 Viltrox on APS-C on my channel if anyone is interested.
Out of curiosity do you have factor it things like resale value when you lenses and kit? I feel like the 1st party lenses probably have much better resale value compared to 3rd party.
Hey Aaron! I finally got a used Sony a7IV last week! I just have a 50m 1.8 atm but I was hoping to get a 24-105 f4. Do you think having the f2.8 but with less focal length range is worth it? Loved the sample videos and photos btw!!
How exciting! That is a great purchase! I've heard the sony 24-105 is fantastic and they are very similarly priced. It really depends if you think you want the extra reach but personally I'd want the f2.8 aperture! :)
My only concern is with a Sony lens, you get focus breathing compensation, supposedly better stabe with things like dynamic active, in body distortion correction, etc which I don't believe you get with the Sigma? - or am I wrong?
Thanks for stopping by! From what I can see you are not wrong especially if we are talking about the GM II, and after seeing some pixel peeping shots it's also definitely marginally sharper and focuses slightly quicker but it's just whether it's worth paying double the price for those benefits. I'm not so sure!
@@RudyVisuals that’s very true. Question, where do you get your sigma lenses in the UK? For Tamron stuff I used e-infin which have awesome prices, anything similar for sigma?
The footage looks very nice indeed. I had to return mine because it was just too heavy for me but I'm very weak lol. The gm2 even though is expensive is so much smaller and lighter.
Thank you and yeah it's a heavy one for sure sadly. I am getting my hands on a GMII in the next few weeks hopefully so will do a review of that for sure!
Honestly zooms are just a lot more convenient for me but if money were no object I'd have multiple cameras with mulitple prime lenses and an assistant to hand me everything :D
IMO Sony glass is always perform better and the GM II is very light but it's not twice as good. But can't really say it's worth double unless you just like to throw money and really want to pixel peep.
I own the gm ii. The lightness for me is defintiely worth it if you can afford it, but image quality there really isn't a huge difference unless you are really splitting hairs.
For me SIGMA is always a brand I know I can trust. I always prefer the 1st party lens but if can't because of budget constrain then SIGMA is so easy to recommend.
I feel like the price diffrence is too big to justify sony. Sure it's probably 5% sharper and focus 0.005 seconds faster maybe lighter but not worth double the price tag.
If you could only use one lens what would it be? Let us know! 👇
I would love ANY 24-70 f2.8!
Primes > Zoom Lenses
For travel and general no pro use I prefer 24-105.

Lovely review with amazing photos and video examples, always love how you always include loads for people to see.
Thanks so much!
Funny to think Sigma was awful a decade ago and now they make some of the best lenses out there. Thanks for your constant high quality, no-bs reviews.
Thank you! :)
This was excellent, I love how I am a total noob but still found this really easy to follow.
Thank you for leaving the camera settings for the photo samples, it's so useful!
Glad it was helpful!
Always the best review from Mr Aaron, greetings from Hanoi teacher!
Thank you, I hope you have been keeping well :)
Awesome review Aaron! Hope summer is rocking your way. Man, nice images with that lens! Dug the artsy dance scenes in nature!
Thanks! You too!
Awesome all around lens, great review my friend.
Thanks :)
Great review. Love your shots you capture as well.
Thanks for watching :)
Your ungraded footage looks better than most people's fully graded videos lol
Always been a prime lens guy but a 24-70 is a godsend when you need to film event or in fast paced environment.
We love primes too but I think there is always a time and a place for both!
Beautiful video and interesting lens review my dear. Your photo and video is beautiful like always. Watching from VN with love and support 🙌❤
Thank you so much 🤗

Tbh it's a consideration but not really a big deal for me.
Did you change mic recently? Sound quality sounds much better in this video!
We did indeed, we upgraded to a sennheiser mkh50 after not being happy with our audio for years!
Sigma are awesome. Loving the examples!
Thank you!
Super review Aaron of a great lens. My wedding videographer used the very same but I remember it being very heavy. Maybe I need to use the gym more!
Haha honestly I'm just used to heavy setups now. It is super luxurious when I get to use smaller and lighter setups!
Love your reviews like always. The video samples look so good. Do you think a used Tamron g2 for around $500 is a good deal compared to the sigma?
Thank you! If budget is an issue then the Tamron will do just fine, but I personally think that 24mm is so much nicer to have than 28mm.
I think the weight would be an issue for me, I am defintely a fan of lightness. Great work as always Aaron!
Thank you!

@@RudyVisuals I went with the 24-105 instead just because I rarely shoot when it's lowlight!

Excellent review. How is it in the low light. Do you think f2.8 is enough?
Thank you! I think for most situations yes but if you know you will be shooting at night or very low light then f1.8 and faster is ideal!
24-70 range is perfect! :)
This Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art easily got dust issue ?
This has been fixed with newer models now. If you google it you can see which serial numbers the issue has been fixed since.
Is s-cinetone still a flat picture profile?
No, it's a baked in cinematic style look but can still be color graded if needed.
Seems like everyone on Sony is using this lens, and I can definitely see why.
Bom dia 🌺 amazing sharing thank for sharing 🌸🌸
Awesome lens!
Thanks!

Definitely agree. Never owned a bad Sigma lens to this day!
Good sharing my friend

Yep definitely agree with this. Would love the Sony GMii honestly but not going to spend double for minimal gain.
