Man.......you can't half tell where the influence for Guns & Roses came from can ya? This bad was awesome and heavily underrated. Epic album. Epic bad.
Living on the moonshine It's the season and I'm insane Living on the moonshine's a crazy scene Laughing through the morning sunshine Rollin' in the rain is all I need, it's all I need Ridin' on the wings of thunder Blinded by a full moon's light I'm runnin' like a river full of hunger Oh, I'm dancin' on the edge tonight Oh, mama says it's alright But I'm leaving it all behind If mama says it's all right, it's fine with me Runnin' through a distant thunder In a summer's rain is all I need, it's all I need Ridin' on the wings of thunder Blinded by a full moon's light I'm runnin' like a river full of hunger Oh, I'm dancin' on the edge tonight Ooh, livin' on the moonshine It's the season and I'm insane Livin' on the moonshine's a crazy scene I'm never, never, never looking back on my time Gotta keep on movin' Do you know what I mean You know what I mean Ridin' on the wings of thunder Blinded by a full moon's light I'm runnin' like a river full of hunger Oh
Yup he did. Think he still does. And Ray smoked, too. I've seen a couple pictures from the late 80s - early 90s where Ray has a cig in his hand. Whatever they were doing--it worked! It was magic. Ray Gillen is, in my opinion, the most phenomenal vocalist who ever lived. The range he had & the tone....just everything. Unreal. And Jake E Lee shredding on the guitar. The combo was unbelievable. Badlands was a kick ass band. Not a bad song on any of their 3 albums (Badlands, Voodoo Highway, and Dusk) Sometimes Ray sounded like David Coverdale (like on "Dreams in the Dark") and sometimes he sounded like Paul Rodgers and sometimes Robert Plant. Badlands had a very Zeppelin-esque sound to them, actually. They were simply amazing. The albums still hold up today--over 30 years later. Badlands was like a shooting star. They shined so bright for a short time....and then they were gone. RIP, Ray. You will never be forgotten. So many of us miss you and love you.
He probably refers to the pop from the 80s. Most of it was aweful but the metal, man, it was epic. RacerX, anything with John Sykes, Badlands stuff, it was & still is all good.
This guy's voice melts my heart and the guitar riffs are so fuckin great
Ray Gillian had some sets of PIPES and was vocalist with some amazing Heavy Metal bands. Such as Black sabbath etc Rip Ray 🙏 🪦
HE COULD MELT YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM TOO
This album addictive like crack. Every track is a masterpiece
@FloodyBoy Randal It never does. They don't make Rock N Roll like this anymore. Tragic.
Totally agree with everyone here damn good album Jake's solo on Dancing On The Edge f****** kick the ass
Pretty sure this is my favorite lead break ever.jel rocks!!
This band....this album...perfection...oh, what could have been if Ray hadn't died.
Still sounds great after all these years.
Some band indeed. I have Voodoo Highway here. One of the best albums of its time.
I agreee.......
Might be the best song on the album, short and sweet
It is the best cut
One of the best leads (songs) in rock and roll!!
Love the Zippo lighter in this tune and they just baddasses that know ROCK n ROLL
Thundering tune. One of their best.
I forgot how good this song was!
Man.......you can't half tell where the influence for Guns & Roses came from can ya? This bad was awesome and heavily underrated. Epic album. Epic bad.

Living on the moonshine
It's the season and I'm insane
Living on the moonshine's a crazy scene
Laughing through the morning sunshine
Rollin' in the rain is all I need, it's all I need
Ridin' on the wings of thunder
Blinded by a full moon's light
I'm runnin' like a river full of hunger
Oh, I'm dancin' on the edge tonight
Oh, mama says it's alright
But I'm leaving it all behind
If mama says it's all right, it's fine with me
Runnin' through a distant thunder
In a summer's rain is all I need, it's all I need
Ridin' on the wings of thunder
Blinded by a full moon's light
I'm runnin' like a river full of hunger
Oh, I'm dancin' on the edge tonight
Ooh, livin' on the moonshine
It's the season and I'm insane
Livin' on the moonshine's a crazy scene
I'm never, never, never looking back on my time
Gotta keep on movin'
Do you know what I mean
You know what I mean
Ridin' on the wings of thunder
Blinded by a full moon's light
I'm runnin' like a river full of hunger
